Kudlow said buy the dip, another idiot giving bad advice
As someone who studies finance and investments, that’s not necessarily bad advice. Not saying it’s good advice either but the market is in uncertainty. The trouble is determining how long this bear market will continue to go. There is potential for short positions with short term profits in mind but long term view would not be terrible to buy at undervalued large cap stocks

Its more making fun of an idiot who claims everything is fine because the stock market rose after dropping drastically and then dropped again. All he cares about is money. And part of the panic is directly on him.
I know that’s why i said it wrong for him to claim positive gains but also wrong to put negative gain on him during this period. And I would say all leaders ha e officials that are causing panic, but nobody is doing more damage then social media and media itself

Trumpidiot spent the weekend crowing about the 2000 pt dow gain on Friday, today the dow shuts down in 4 minutes
So while I believe it’s wrong of him to claim stock market growth on the positive days over the past few weeks, it’s also inaccurate to put the decline on him.

On twitter, saw some guy saying he's expecting the PMs announcement today to be enacting the emergency act(?) taking away civil liberties for everyone and confiscating all guns! The conspiracy nuts are out in full force now.
Also saw that the MB cases are at 7. After 400 people tested Sunday. Good news so far.I believe it was 6/7 cases were travel related?

So far he’s being blamed for everything he deserves to be blamed for. Even today he comes out and says everything is fine. Medical expert then comes out and says “the worse is yet to come”.
?? I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve blame. Of course he does. My post was in response to Brandon saying try and keep trump/politics out. I really don’t know what you are trying to get at here.

Let us know when he doesn’t something good.
I’m not really gonna get political, but I was just making a statement. He will get blamed for tons of things, good, bad. Same goes to Trudeau.

Can we keep Trump/politics out of this thread?
You’re asking a lot there. The Chinese government seems to have a lot on their shoulders with the spread of this virus, and Trump is gonna be blamed for something, wether he does something good or bad. So doubt politics will be kept out of this thread.

I think we actually agree, but it's Trump who thinks he's responsible for the markets when he's not. I don't think his literal incapacitation would be a really negative thing.
I would have to disagree with this part. Investors would react irrational to world news like this.

And who was the President when this happened? I don't think Warren Buffett is necessarily hoping Donny hangs on.
You are making the assumption that the entire market collapse is on trump? That’s how I understand it. If that’s what you think then fine, but there are many more factors then one president. Like production and demand and outside forces. And in regards to warren buffet, I don’t think it matters too much to him to who is president.

Part of me wants to find out.
Well hey if you want someone to get sick and die that’s on you. But you would be expecting everybody to be rational investors in a time of crisis. And that won’t happen. For example, just this morning the first circuit breaker for the stock exchange flipped for the second time this week. And the worst is yet to come.

I'll give you even odds that the market would actually recover a bit.
Umm ya I highly doubt that

Could be I got the timeline wrong. Wasn't memorizing it but it was definitely not 1.5 to 2 years. In fact, a US company named Moderna is organizing a clinical trial for a possible vaccine beginning next month. They are bypassing animal testing on it and so far no regulatory bodies in the US seem like they are going to shut this down.
If you are talking about Michael Osterholm, then he did say it could be up to two years.

Guy from American CDC was on Joe Rogan show and said the vaccination is about 8-10 months away and that vaccinations don't go through the same kind of clinical trials and testing as medications. They either work or they don't and there is no real fear of long term effects. The big impediment is producing them fast enough at a global level.
Very interesting segment, he also said Coronavirus is nothing new, it has been around for years and this is just a new mutation and they have been working on a vaccination for years already but this is a very resilient virus. He said that the virus has previously presented as a pretty weak strain of the flu so not a lot of money was put into vaccine research on it.
I watched the same one, and he gave a bit longer time line but ya.

yeah I'm not gonna be bent outta shape if we don't sign him..I would be just fine going into season with our whole returning offence that played in the Grey Cup and won it, and have faith in our recruits...there are 3 guys coming who i can see making some serious noise...use that money to re-up guys at season's end again, or have a lil somethin somethin for any NFL cut that may wanna join a contender
Ardarius stewart. Guy has had my attention since day one.

Not likely as a vaccine is at least a year away.
A year at the minimum with all the tests they have to do first.

Baseball is irrelevant until October.
(a little tongue in cheek but with 162 games in a season, it's a little hard to get jacked about it until games actually mean something)
That’s your opinion on it. I understand a lot of people aren’t fans of it, but with tons of game on everyday, gonna cut into viewership lots.

This is pretty much a carbon copy of the trends from the first XFL and AAF. Americans are apathetic to spring football. These numbers will decrease as March Madness starts taking over.
Don’t forget opening day for baseball is only 20 some days away too.

Considering the media attention the XFL gets in the states and the media outlets and opportunities the xfl has, there really should be no reason it fails. For example the “beer snake” blew up in media giving them tons of attention, acting like they are the creators of the beer snake.

Just trust me on this.... Chris Cuthbert is the best sports broadcaster in Canada. He's the best hockey PBP in the world.
Bob Irving is better but I’m assuming you aren’t including radio

I've never understood the apparent love by some for Chris Cuthbert. He's simply not the worst of a bad lot. I was through with Cuthbert when he cried out "Oh No!" when Milt scored the miracle TD against the Shmoes. Nothing he's said since has given me pause to change my mind.
There will be no CC slander on this thread.

Man, this offseason is getting loooonnnggg.... and we don't even have draft picks to talk about
By April, we'll be arguing about whether the refs should change to horizontal stripes...
We can also talk about hypothetical rules changes that gets everybody arguing with each other. Like the cfl should remove the yard off the ball rule.
