Jones played WIL primarily for Argos and lost his job by October in 2 of his 3 seasons there (earlier last year, came back as an injury replacement for a couple games), wasn't re-signed.
Looking at guys like that as being some kind of solution to a big problem is just a coping mechanism. He's another average body out there as an American player in this league. Not a difference maker, and we saw that when he was an Argo.

We know what J. Jones did in an entirely different D Scheme. However, saying he is better than T. Jones is not a given. T. Jones has been playing some good football for us, as has Kyrie Wilson. Our LBing is not our problem. Changes need to be made but I think we need to make the right changes. Change for the sake of change does not make us better it just makes us different. We need upgrades at receiver, OL, DL, and secondary although that is kind of due to injury. With Collaros out a new QB is in order as well. These are our problems.
Agreed. Tony Jones has been one of our better players on D this year and where everyone got this idea that J. Jones is some kind of stud from is baffling? He is literally a guy that played himself out of a job in Toronto.

They were essentially playing two deep safeties to shake up VA and try to negate the explosives. They had Griffin playing more LB style SAM than DB style. Worked for a quarter until they started running single verticals and posts at Kelly's side as an adjustment.

Inside the ten (I believe, at the very least it was in the redzone), instead of giving it to Brady, they put it in the hands of Strev who then misplaces a ball that is picked off and the game was essentially over. So there was already a reason to maybe not do that (let Strev throw in that situation) and he did it anyway and almost gave the game away. Sure, Streveler underthrew it. But acting like it was a needed "kill shot" is just odd.
Hogan, we can do simple math. This isn't SSK.

I don't think he's a CFL DB. We have better options. I wouldn't even look at him as a DB. I'd rather put Kelly or Hallett out there. Would be nice if he got consistent at catching and holding the ball on returns.

Case can’t keep his feet under him, fell down on almost every play the ball went remotely close to him. Had a big drop when the game was winnable, fell down and lead to an easy pick also while the game was winnable. He returned 3 kick offs for 21 yards each which isn’t good and no punts. Vaval was worse on KR, but if that’s enough to stay in the line up, that’s really damn sad.
