  1. I just wanted to take a moment to say 'thank you' to Rich and all of the members of MBB for allowing us interlopers a place to come and talk about our Bombers since TEP being down.  For us avid Bomber fans, the TEP couldn't have went down at a worse time, during playoffs...  it was/is nice to have a place to come to and share our thoughts and participate in the conversation without being made to feel un-welcomed or reminded that we are merely quests at someone else's house..

Hopefully we've reciprocated the hospitality by adding to the conversation and  provided additional insight to the going on's within the game and the Bombers in general... hopefully we will continue to do so once the TEP is back up, if it's back up...

So again, thanks you to MBB, Rich, and the MBB members for accepting us and allowing us to continue to be part of the conversation, much appreciated!

Surprising to see Hamilton's game plan incorporating so much downfield passing.  It is not their strength.  Usually running a ton of screens and quick stuff and forcing defenses to try to tackle their guys.

if you win 15 games in a season, the Eastern Finals isn't the time to try and fool someone... just do you...

  3. BOTH road teams won the 2019 Division Semi-Finals and this is indeed rare. Since 1971, that event has occurred only 5 times in 48 years coming in: 2019  2017  2008  2000  1989

Saskatchewan and Winnipeg have met 14 times before in the playoffs (in either single game or multi-game series) and the count is an even split at 7 wins each to date. Their most recent meetings were in the 2018 and 2003 West Semi-Finals.

The Bombers won the last game, WSF, without a single Red Zone trip - they ran no play closer than the Calgary 24-yard line.

Chris Streveler took 23 snaps (20 in the 2nd half) without throwing a single pass; the most in Playoff history.

The Winnipeg defensive effort repeated their result in the 2018 Semi-Final win over the Riders who had just 205 net yards.

Bo Levi Mitchell was intercepted 3 times and held to his career playoff lows in yards (116) and % (43%).

Pass Knockdowns: Saskatchewan had 44 compared to #1 Winnipeg with 77 (the 3rd-highest total in CFL history)

Winnipeg's Red Zone rankings were the best combination in the CFL - #2 on Offence at 67%, #2 on Defence at 54%

Winnipeg drew the fewest Penalties in the CFL at 7.1 per game, 57 fewer penalties than Saskatchewan.

Zach Collaros becomes the first QB in CFL history to start a Div. Final having been on each team's roster in that season.

In his 23 snaps, Chris Streveler ran on 13 of them for 82 yards and a TD. The 13 runs were a Winnipeg Playoff record for a QB. (Streveler also set a playoff high for rushing yards by a Winnipeg QB eclipsing the 79 by Lee Saltz in 1989.

Streveler set a Winnipeg record for Rushing yards by a QB at 726. His #6 CFL rank was the best-ever by a Bombers' QB.

This year is the first time since 1989 that Winnipeg has won a road playoff game two years in a row.

Winston Rose led the CFL with 9 interceptions, the most by a Bomber since Less Browne had 10 in 1991.

Big play kick return comparison - Winnipeg #2 with 13, Saskatchewan #7 with 6.

The Bombers won exactly zero games when they scored 17 or less this year.

they didn't win any games scoring 22 pts either... what's your point? you saying it's not possible to win a game with 17 pts?  Hamilton won a game this year with only 13 pts... and I've been told by a reliable source that they are the best team in the league...

no question there one bit...was soley on the defence...but I think that Nichols would have put more points up and a FG..even a TD wouldn't have won it as a walk off...but we will never know...been a weirdly frustrating season of highs and lows, but I think it bonded this team even more than they were and they are trending in right direction now and on a mission again...

maybe, we don't know... he might have... I just wish people would be willing to be realistic is all...

thats how I rolled...played on the edge...closer to dirty and mean then always within rules and nice...and took em all on...

I always use to joke that if I had played defense that on the first play I'd go offsides and clothes line the QB and take the penalty... just to let him know I was there, lol...
