Deiter Fan got a reaction from GCn20 in 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
Good gravy, man…are you familiar with the notion of adding insult to injury??

Just one guy’s opinion but…
Hanging on to the ball too long…bad decisions…throwing an inordinate number of picks…getting happy feet
This, to me, reeks of a guy tightening up due to the pressure of the moment. Seems odd for a guy with that type of experience but the weight of the pressure to deliver/lead in the biggest moments can affect anyone.
We’ve all been concerned about his head but maybe for the wrong reasons

@17to85
I'm not going to return fire. I really am trying to be less of an abrasive **** online and less of a emotional reactionary fan like my dad was. If I (understandably) offended you before after Bombers loss by being too negative I'm sorry.

Yeah but we still kind of had it. Second down and 18 to go out of fg position that really was an ought to have been the end of it for the als

The sun will come up today and again tomorrow. The sting will fade but this one hurt more than last year. The love fest for Montreal during the pre-game show was sickening and when that happens, bad things happen and it played out again.

Heartbreak only matters when you aren't a casual. We aren't a casual fan base, we don't abandon our team when **** hits the fans. A lot of you are veterans of the 29 year plague, and know that the heartbreak last night stings because we love our team and province.
I am grateful to be a part of a fan base like ours that cares, is committed, and loves our team We didn't become obnoxious pigs with success like the rider fans did, and we didn't abandon our team to half empty crowds when the going got tough like whats happening in Alberta.
I tried to get this message across last night and maybe it was too soon or too poorly written. The raw emotion of last nights loss stung. But I want you to know that to all my fellow Bomber fans, you should keep your head high because you're part of something bigger than all of us individuals, greater than the sum of our parts. Our profession is Blue. We will be back next year and I can't wait. Enjoy the off season and I love and appreciate you all and I will always be Winnipeg no matter where I am.

No, but O'Shea can still beat up anyone that chooses to disagree with him.

Interesting point. We are always impressed when a player owns up to a poor performance and takes responsibility...and we bristle when they instead throw others under bus in defence of themselves.
I am just now trying to recall MOS ever saying, "Yeah I shat the bed on that one. It was a bad decision."
I've heard things like, "hindsight is 20/20"...or, "at the time it seemed like the right call"...but I'm not sure I have ever seen him fall on his sword and admitting he f'd up.

And I’ll add this..That was the last time I have the sound on for a game on TSN.
That was atrocious, and their bar is very low.
Whoever said it on here was right, football is an annoyance to the network.
I love the CFL forever but I unequivocally hate “TheCFLonTSN”. Everything about it. The hokey gimmicks, the panel, the production, the forced “humour”. The inane and idiotic announce teams.
The 2000’s era graphics.
You get Rod Smith doing play by play when the game moves too fast for him so all he can do is yell the players last name slowly.
Or Neilson screaming like a preteen.
They’re a sports network who don’t have a single person, not a SINGLE one who knows how to call a football game.
That **** channel and their **** broadcasts are wrecking the league.
For me it even took a little away when we won in 21.

Might not have been the wisest decision to cut Agudosi a month before the playoffs if they weren't confident his replacements were capable of stepping in when needed. The more I think about this "name on the cup issue" the more I believe O'Shea used it as a factor in determining his game time roster.

We had 100 opportunities to win that game. Brady doesn’t fumble, Zach doesn’t throw a pick, we don’t run the clock down with a 4 point lead and 7 minutes to go, we don’t all out blitz fajardo on the td pass, etc. the fact that we again, for the second year in a row came one play short in the gc with soo many chances to win is 100% coaching. With better coaching this game would’ve been a laugher. Like the two previous times we played mtl this year. Mtl adjusted we did not, then we didn’t adjust to their adjustments.
Roster management is just one aspect of the Meta problem, coaching.

Roster management or not, and this is absolutely undeniable, we were in fantastic position to win that game if we simply don`t let Fajardo beat us on a last minute drive. Guys on here can scream until they are blue in the face about coaching, or Zac`s play, or roster management and none of that mattered at that point. None. It came down to poor coverage to allow a 30 yard gain on 3rd and 5, and to let CoFaj scamper for 13 the play before. All the other **** is just white noise as to why we lost that game. It was there for the taking and our D crapped the bed in the final minute. We allowed a CoFaj offence to drive 83 yards to win that game. Biggie cost us nothing in that drive, nor did Zac, the receivers or anything else. Just people trying to set their agendas now by overlooking the obvious fact that our roster, no matter how banged up, was good enough for 59 minutes of that game and our own mistakes lost us that game.
It hurt us, but it is not why we lost. We still could have should have and were in position to win that game.
I guess we can all second guess now, but is Ambles on a couple weeks learning curve better than Bailey or Schoen at 80%, is BOLO better than Demski at 80%....pretty easy to pick the carcass now but I am not sure I make a different decision receiver wise. Biggie was the big mistake because Clements had clearly demonstrated he could fill that gap easily if Biggie wasn`t absolutely 100.

No it's not, he's the same quarterback he has always been. Make him think he will beat himself. Unfortunately Ritchie Halls default is very easy to read blitzes. If we had simply gone with the same defense that we used in the West final we could have seen the same result. Massive fail by the coaches of the Bombers.

Are we so spoiled as to be dissappointed with consistently being in the GC? I know we obviously want to win, but you can honestly say this year wasnt fun

If we play clean ball we win that game. We did the exact thing that everyone knew was the only way Montreal could beat us. Zac needed to be better and so did our gameplan.

We had 10 sacks last week. This had nothing to do with horses in the stable.
