  1. FYI: Highbaugh. Now you know...... The rest of the story.
  2. I didn't think Holley would come back to the Stamps as he was embroiled in a dispute with GM John Hufnagel after the 2019 season when he refused to let him out of his contract to work out for any NFL teams. Holley & his agent were livid. Finally Huff relented but not until spring instead of December. Interestingly, Holley's brother is a receiver with the Stamps this season & has appeared in a few games as an injury replacement. Nye is a POS.
  3. I absolutely love Zach Collaros as a Bomber fan. He can work magic out there by scrambling & extending plays. He doesn't take off & run much with the ball which is a good thing but he can wear out a defensive line as they are in chase mode all game.
  4. I'd like Dane Evans but not Masoli or Reilly. Reilly is getting old fast in front of our eyes. I haven't seen him engage with his offense once this season on the sidelines to fire them up. He just goes to the bench, sits down & stares at his device. Only seems to talk to Nathan Rourke. He looks pissed off all the time. With his OL I don't blame him but leadership isn't about pouting or pointing fingers. It's about inspiring others & making them believe they can win. I don't see any of that with Reilly.
  5. Every great championship team has a great OL. Troy Aikman behind the Wall of Dallas. Tom Clements behind the 1984 Bombers OL with Lyle Bauer, Mark Moors, val Belcher, John Bonk. Nick Bastaja & Chris Walby, Edmonton's OL with first Tom Wilkinson, Warren Moon & then Matt Dunigan & Damon Allen. the Green Bay packers of the 1960's with their two pulling guards Jerry Kraemer & Jim Ringo leading the Green Bay Sweep & protecting QB Bart Starr. I mean, no one can say that it's 70% OL & 30% QB. It's a team effort with all the players meshing together believing in their cause & brotherhood.
  6. For the sake of discussion here, if Zach can't play in the GC because he's unvaccinated (which I understand he is vaxxed) then I don't want him. Why would I want Collaros in the West Final & McGuire in the Grey Cup? We saw that Dog & Pony Show before in the Grey Cup with Ryan Dinwiddie after Kevin Glenn broke his arm in the East Final. No thanks.
  7. Yes, I would say get rid of him. I don't care who he is because he won't be playing in the Western Final.
  8. Err.. yeah... Begelton not Brescascin. Duh??!!
  9. No one will hate you as this is the thread to talk about it. Stamps receiver Terry Evanshen was always one of my favourite non Bomber player. He won a Schenley Award as the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian in 1967. Another favourite non Bomber (before he became one) was Receiver/DB & Kicker Rick Shaw. He could play offense or defense & was extremely versatile. The Bomber coaches plugged him in wherever he was needed. I was excited when he signed with the Bombers in 1970 & he played extremely well. He spent just one season & never came back in 71 which made no sense to me. He would have made us a lot better that year. I think he signed with the Ti Cats. Turns out that HC at the time Jim Spavital didn't want him back. Probably a money issue.
  10. Bottom line is get vaxxed or leave. FIFO.
  11. I said this yesterday but Mitchell has no more excuses of young receivers making mistakes or dropping catchable footballs. He now has Jorden & Brescascin to throw to. If he can't be successful with those 2 veterans then yes, he needs to be replaced by Maier next season who has shown plenty of promise.
  12. I think they'll be all in on developing caleb Evans. Besides, LaPo doesn't believe he needs veterans at receiver to win. If I was a FA qb, Ottawa would be the last place I'd want to play. Ottawa is where qbs go to die career wise. I think there'll be a mass exodus of veterans who'll want outta there.
  13. I just finished watching that news conference. Honestly, I don't know what to thnk now. What do others here think? Chipman was very unhappy. Looking down a lot & not making eye contact.
  14. I guess these selfish players spell team with an "I".
  15. I think Zack will re-sign. We took a chance on him when no one else would & he knows that. He's probably had more fun playing for the Bombers than anywhere else. He has chemistry with his receivers & has a very, very good OL blocking for him. I think he has a great relationship with Buck, OSh & Walters. If the Bombers pay him what he is truly worth, I'm sure he'll stay. If he's lowballed & feels unappreciated then sure, he'll leave but I just can't see that happening.
  16. The Stamps should just cut those players. What good is it for them to even be on the roster??
  17. Ha, ha. So true. I was driving home to Winnipeg from Lac Du Bonnet. I heard the news on the radio from Bob Irving doing the 5:25 pm sports. I was fist pumping & slapping my steering wheel, dashboard & yelling, "Yes, yes!!" & "Right on!!!" & "Wooooooo!!!!" I almost hit the ditch!!!! After I composed myself, what a happy drive home alone that was for me.
  18. I wonder how close Hardrick is to coming back?
  19. The Stamps used to give seats to every pee wee, bantam & HS team in Calgary. They all sat in one section. Four seats per team. We'd give them out to players who either played well thee game before or for the kids who practised the hardest. Then suddenly the tickets were cancelled. That section where kids sat & filled now sits virtually empty every game today. The Stamps do little, if nothing here to engage youth football. All they're doing is shooting themselvess in the foot to spite their face. I can also tell you how clueless some CFL owners are & totally out of touch with their fanbase. The year before these tickets were ultimately cancelled, one of the Stamps owners at the time was a great high school & U Sport basketball player when he was young & before he became a multi millionaire. He wanted to take the tickets away from young footballers & give them to basketball teams instead.
  20. I'd like to see the CFL consider London, Ontario as a potential expansion city so we can get to 10 teams. Having 4 teams in Ontario & all 5 Eastern teams in the same time zone would be beneficial for scheduling as well as rivalries. That & the fact that London already has a 10.000 seat stadium in place that I think can be expanded to 25,000 makes it a much better choice than Halifax. The economy is better than Halifax & London as well as Southern Ontario has the population base to draw from. Metro London has a population of 500,000.
  21. Bo is the weak link. If he can't win with those receivers & Kadeem Carey running the ball then the Stmps should cut him loose in the off season & promote Maier.
  22. Teams are signing a lot of D2 qbs. There's a reason why they are. They are furious on social media. Saying Sunderland shouldn't be allowed to sign any players long term as he'll be fired & that Arbuckle hasn't won anything.
