  1. Needed to dump Trouba. It would have been stupid to trade Myers and Tabev. Hayes was good.
  2. I would take The Who, despite then not exactly being local. No, I mean a local, up and coming band.
  3. I think Pionk is a project. I'm hoping for bottom pairing this year but developing into a 2nd pairing d. Niku is fine on defence. He's a good, young, puck moving defenceman and will complement the Jets D and 2nd pp unit.
  4. How come Montreal gets a local artist and we got those foreigners the Reklaws?? They were horrible.
  5. Kenney had the Rebel at the victory party. They are already down the populous route.
  6. Nichols vs Collaros in a Rider/Argo thread? Way to keep it on topic. Is RF fixed yet?
  7. Wow did we dodge a bunch of bad contracts.
  8. I'm not happy to see the Stamps win but holy geez am I happy to see the Lions lose again. Hahaha.
  9. I thought the Als D would be better this year with all their talent and even steal a few wins. That's not been true at all, so far. I think the TiCats will be exposed soon but the Als are not the team to do it. Comfortable, relatively speaking, win for the TiCats.
  10. I don't know, it would have been a pretty sweet victory tour around the league this year. Personally, I would have enjoyed my trip to Regina far more for Labour Day if we carried the GC onto the field.
  11. Is Ackie still a free agent? Did I miss his signing?
  12. I thought it was a catch and fumble but I only saw it on the big screen and probably only once.
  13. They did a great job of containing Jackson. Basically stopped him in his tracks and stayed in front of him. Seems everyone got at least one tackle.
  14. Exume with only one special teams tackle. He peaked early and his career is on the decline.
  15. Riders won stinkers last year, so even bad teams win stinkers. We're a good team, I know this. The evidence is overwhelming unlike the what we saw last year from the Riders.
  16. I wasn't feeling too good after the win last night but I'm feeling better now. What I saw was a team that seem to dominate at almost all aspects against a very good team but didn't couldn't pull away and made key mistakes. What I saw was Nichols not utilizing the weapons he has. One shot downfield, which was very (very) successful but then seem to ignore his big play receivers. I know he's a protect the ball first type QB, which is partially why he's been so successful here, but he's never had this talent around him. Why not stretch the field more? The play calls seem to open up the receivers all over the field but he seem to only look out to the outside for short gains, especially on 2nd and long. I'm frustrated but I think I just need to get over it. A win is a win is a win. Thanks MBB for putting my head back on straight. Edit: Two throws downfield. Forgot the Matthews catch that was called back. Edit 2: I took Tarsky as my lock pick, so I could be grumpy that he didn't get a TD.
  17. Was that the one across middle early in game? I thought it was a good no-challenge. Early in the game and the replay that MOS and I saw (on the big screen) it appeared as though he took a couple of steps before the ball came out. If nothing else, it was very inconclusive from that angle.
  18. 1. Lucky - 2 TDs. Faster than fast. Cuts so deep, the Edmonton backs need stitches. 2. Jeffcoat - I feel like the entire line was pushing hard all night long. Harris felt the pressure, that's for sure. 3. Cover team - they kept everything in front of them and didn't take bad penalties. In mid-season form this week.
  19. Agreed. That was a mess and Nichols was a disaster tonight.
  20. I predicted (on Global) a 10 point win. They better not disappoint.
  21. Just saw Medlock hit from 60 yards out. Easy. Then saw Harris under throw a receiver. Based on warmups, we got this.
  22. I'm hoping this is a "Maas throwing headphones" kind of game. #FortHew
