  1. Yeah, I was really surprised that McGuire wasn't there. It's not like he wasn't part of the team, he was on the field a few times in the Grey Cup.
  2. He did say right away that he wouldn't be doing the coaches show. I'm guessing that it will be guest spots here and there throughout the season.
  3. Anyone hear anything about the parking situation at the stadium for tonight?
  4. I will be there. There's a chance of some bad weather rolling in, but my 9 year old daughter said to me this morning "I don't care how cold or snowy it is, I wouldn't miss that for the world".
  5. At least this year they had a guy who understood the game and would stop talking when the play was going on. As much as he was cheering for Hamilton, I'll give him credit for respecting the game.
  6. I find it hard to believe as well because of the fact that he abandoned them once before... I guess if you give him both the GM and Head Coach jobs he might stick around a little longer, but I'd still be nervous with him if I were the Elks.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dinwiddie win for coach because of what he did with the team that he had. O'sh maintained the culture and consistency that he had with the team from 2019. I think it will depend on what the voters value more in their vote for Coach of the Year. 100% Biggie deserved to win as the representative of the most dominant defense in the league by a long shot.
  8. Yeah, and I think Neuf said "Hey... HEY!!!" and then just nodded at the guy who backed off (didn't catch who it was, but might have been Bailey.
  9. On the note about Janarion... Good on him to catch the kick high and keep himself in bounds to be able to run it out. His momentum was taking him backwards a bit and he had the awareness to know where the back of the end one was and keep it in play.
  10. I'd prefer they tighten things up and at least get the easy calls right, but if they're going to be that bad I think you're right.
  11. https://globalnews.ca/pages/audio-vault-cjob/ Funny you ask because I was just about to look it up myself for the same reason.
  12. I'd like to recognize Collaros for his effort in tracking down the guy who picked up the ball on Wolly's fumble. Full marks for not giving up and getting the guy out of bounds even though he had blocker or two with him.
  13. Fair point, there may have been a couple of slips, but I still stand by the comment that BC Place was worse this year for that. All things considered, the field was in really good shape for this game and wasn't as much of a factor as it could have been.
  14. Duke was doing that back when he was with Edmonton as well... it's how he gets open to make the catches that he makes, but for some reason they always allow it for him. When he was coming back to the CFL, that was my #1 reason for not wanting him on our team. In one of the post game interviews on the radio, one of the defenders said he was near Osh when the ref was talking about it and overheard them say that the review looked at everything and that there was no OPI.
  15. Hear a Fajardo interview before the game where he said something about how they were a team and how nobody points fingers when things go wrong... wasn't he the guy moaning about the fact that his receivers couldn't come down with the "50/50" throws?
  16. The field was fine... didn't see anyone slipping or anything all game. Saw more slipping and sliding at BC Place this season in multiple games.
  17. The issue was that I was at the game... I would have needed to delay live action to sync up with the radio
  18. I tried listening to CJOB on my phone at the game, but it was too far behind the action that it just didn't make sense. Listened to the pre and post game shows though.
  19. If it's the guy from the Arkells who they had in the booth the other day, I don't mind it. He is a fan of the game and understands it. He knew when to stop talking and is knowledgeable enough that if the guys in the booth do ask him to do a play call, he could probably pull it off.
  20. I think if there were a limited number for each game, that would be a safer way for them to do it. That being said, if you would otherwise only have 26,000 in the seat, and now you get an extra 2,000 kids, that doesn't really cost the team anything, and they make money on concessions, so unless there would otherwise be a sellout, I think it's a win-win for the team.
  21. Doesn't the 6 game expires after WF? If so, they may be keeping him for the Grey Cup.
