2022 CFL Free Agency(Rumors/official signings)
Sard replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I could see Bailey stepping into that role as well. -
I don't think it should necessarily be more than 2 doses, more like a 2nd or 3rd dose within the last x months. We know that the efficacy of the 2nd dose is good for the first bit but it wanes over time, so fully vaxed would depend on how recently you've been shot.

Oh for f#$& sakes... if the Canadian women's hockey team can play a whole game with masks on, is it really that oppressive to ask you to wear a mask to go shopping?!?

I think it's also because he's still chasing the NFL... not going to commit to anything in the CFL if there's still a chance he'll get an offer down there. -

He can't actually sign with BC until free agency opens tomorrow. -

Assuming he does ok this year, what happens to the rest of the team when his contract is up and he needs a healthy raise? -
I lose what little respect I might have had for them the second I see the American flag there. I just don't get it.

Fair point about the federal liberal party being pro business, but they also put out the CERB, which was a totally socialist thing to do. If it's not Conservative, it's bad. She's one of those people who believe that as along as you work hard, you will succeed. Ignoring the fact that there are people out there who have suffered trauma and have large barriers to success due to the way our society is setup. Some people out there who are the hardest workers, will never be able to achieve success due to their circumstances (ie. race, background, connections).

I have a step-mother-in-law in AB who can't stand Trudeau for the fact that he's a Liberal. Basically in her eyes, if it's not Conservative/pro-business, or if it looks anything like socialism, then it's bad.

I actually thought Leggs was good to go in the last game they had him place kicking before the brought in Mourtada. -
Keep in mind also that the vaccine mandate for truckers just came in... empty shelves has been an issue for a while. I'd also like to point out that the truckers that are protesting are only about 3% of the truckers in the country, so just a very vocal minority that are able to be louder due to the right wing nut jobs that have latched on to their "cause" and added their voices to it even though they really have no skin in the game.
-
Articles and complaints about stuff like this drive me crazy. 5G wouldn't be the issue, the frequencies that they may be using to deploy parts of the 5G networks could be, but the technology itself isn't the problem.

A cabinet shuffle that puts in a better Health Minister wouldn't be a bad thing though... I can't say whether there is someone better qualified to do the job, but there's the small glimmer of hope that it's possible.

Pretty sure Obby Khan is well known. He's not the candidate for the area yet, but he's thrown his hat in the ring for it.

I think the most annoying thing that I keep hearing from them is when they pat themselves on the back about how we've had the "strictest measures in place for the as long as we have". At the end of the day, I don't care that you've put a bunch of restrictions in if a bunch of people aren't following the restrictions and not being punished for it. Enforcement needs to be ramped up and it has to have some teeth behind it (ie. actual collection of fines and such).
-
Fair point on the naming. I actually like that it's the QR code that needs to be scanned because it's harder to fake that. I also believe that people who legitimately can't get vaccinated should have one as well so that they aren't limited. The process to get that though should be heavily vetted.
-
I hear you on this one but it can become a slippery slope. I'm not a fan of the slippery slope argument, but there are some easy ones that are a very close comparison that make that a tough call. Everyone knows that smoking isn't good for you, so if you choose to smoke, should you be denied health care? When it comes to triage though, I can see it making sense to prioritize everyone over the unvaxed. I definitely agree with the vaccine passport idea where privileges are limited (ie. attending sporting events, being inside private businesses, etc.)

I like the idea in theory, but I seem to remember Walters, early in his tenure as GM, saying that he doesn't like incentive deals because it's too much uncertainty for the SMS and makes it a lot harder to manage. -
Since nobody else has posted it yet today.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if this is a great reference for the Bombers if it's implying that they would make the team. -
Or today at 2pm. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-covid19-return-to-school-update-1.6303606

If that was the case, the Darwin awards wouldn't exist.

The reference to it being ok because it's a naturally occurring plant is kinda BS though... Cocaine comes from a naturally occurring plant too. It has been proven many times over that cannabis is harmful to brain development for users under the age of 25.
