  1. The Flyers will not trade Couturier straight up for Buff. For example would you trade Scheifele for Buff as he is considered by many to comparable to Couturier, both are 22 , Buff is 30 Couturier is ufa in 22-23 Buff will be retired by then.
  2. You assume they'd take him on without dumping contract $$ at the same time...... Find 2 players that the flyers would give that total 5.2 that the Jets would take. The situation of Buff's contract is going to make the trade tough and a lot of people will be disappointed when he gets traded. This could be moot if he signs.
  3. It's a 5 team no move clause... Not sure who they are but... Toronto,Edmonton,Montreal are probably 3 of them. Maybe New Jersey and Buffalo to complete list. You know what.. Buffalo for sure since KANE is there now but... I dunno, bet it's some big market place. Buff strikes me as a guy who would be more than happy to avoid markets with tons of media. Im thinking NYR or LA or even Philly, so many rumors linked to Philly that you'd almost think, well, why hasn't he been traded there by now already. Philly has no cap room and the players that we would want they would not trade. Dead right about Buff being a quiet kind of a guy grew up in Rosseau Mn. so how about sending him to Minnesota for Charlie Coyle. Only problem we would have to face Buff 5 times

  5. Trading Buff won't be that easy, first he has a nmc so the jets would have to get a list of teams that he would be willing to be traded to. Teams with a lot of cap space are bottom feeders and places that he would not eant to play for. Also rule out any Canadian team probably would prefer to play in the USA plus no cap space except Toronto. Trading him to a place where he will go and we get a good return will be difficult considering that he has one year left on his contract but not impossible. As to retaining dollars in a trade that will not happen even for one year that's not how TNSE works. They will also not take salary dumps remember the Jets are going with younger players and again doesn't fit with the TNSE model.
  6. Calgary comes back down to earth, everything just went the right way for them to many 3rd period comebacks. Anaheim tops again LA close second. In the central watch out for Dallas, Chicago up in the air.
  7. I think Ladd's contract is already in the can will be a nice way to start training camp with a signing. As for Buff the longer you wait the less you get not to mention he always gets little nagging injuries. He's good for the team and fans but the time has come for him to move on.
  8. You missed the part that i already mentioned that
  9. It's made for baseball. Where every seat at IGF is facing midfield more or less, every seat at SkyDome is pitched toward home plate, which is basically the endzone of the end facing the scoreboard. It's terrible for football. They won't have to worry about playing football there when they put grass in there and kick the Argos out
  10. The crowd in Toronto is beyond embarrassing they need to get to BMO and do some marketing.
  11. Wild just got the qb wearing 38 is playing inside lb now instead of safety
  12. If there ever was a time for a suspension that clothesline is as close as you get. Injury or no injury the intent was there and celebration afterwards implies he knew what he was doing.
  13. The only way Hamilton is not in the Grey Cup this year is if Collaros gets injured and is out for the year. They play smash mouth defence, have very good special teams, are extremely well coach and create their own luck. Take Collaros out of that line up without a running game and they are an average offence at best.
  14. Popp's lucky that he had trestman and ac for all those years. Now lets see what he can do as a head coach again i don't think it will be any better than the first go around. As for Higgins look what he was working with not a lot of talent and a few key injuries makes the move look bush league
  15. Buff's cap hit is 5,200.000 this year
  16. As of today Philly has 24 player contracts for 15-16, there cap space is 8,333
  17. Would do this deal in a heartbeat, philly just doesn't have the cap space
  18. Buff is over rated by us jets fans and going into the last year of his contract that will not benefit us in a trade. Sign him to a 6yr 7 million dollar contract and then shop him around. If not keep him for the season and trade him at the deadline. Signed long term he will get us more in return. If Ladd signs long term his deal will include nmc and i can see him finishing his career here and that's not a bad thing.
  19. So if this facility is built in 5-6 years who thinks that the price tag will be 890 million dollar.
  20. Ehlers and Copp have the best chance of making the team, that's if they show what the team is looking for in the pre-season. This teams has shown in the past you have to earn your spot on the team. The only other player who would have a chance is Petan and he would have to be out of his mind crazy good during camp, everybody else is AHL or Junior bound. Hey starting in the AHL or going back to Junior is not the end of the world.
  21. Ti Cats defense is mean and aggressive and play hard, i like that style of play after all it is football. Austin is the puppet master on that team and he controls everything that happens on the sideline. His players are an extension of his personality and there's nothing wrong with that.
  22. There D is aggressive and mean and there O strikes quickly and they make there own luck, they are for real
  23. Wishful thinking but Ottawa and Hamilton combo tonight please
  24. I took another look at it through the miracle of video review. We got called for contacting the kicker when Leggett? got grabbed and twisted/thrown to the ground, making minimal contact with the punter. Pfeffer, saw the play, went pfft, and rolled down for the call. I thought he was dead (I think he was laughing) Like I said last night this play really p!@#$%^ me off, personal protector grabbed Leggett twisted him and throws him at the kicker who becomes a ballerina and takes a flying leap. What really bothered me was that a official is looking right at the play calls us for contacting the kicker when the called should of been holding on the up back. I'm not saying we would of won the game but get the call right your looking at the play.
