  1. I agree. The Bombers have yet to beat a team with a winning record so at most they may win one more game and that is Montreal. But Montreal has been playing much better so even that is in question.
  2. The problem is he is the coach, the boss, not their friend. He doesn't put the fear in them that is needed. I'm not saying he needs to be a tyrant but winning is all that matters and not the feelings of the players. So far, while more players have been attracted here MOS has not turned this team around. He slowly improved the record but that hasn't brought the team any post season achievements whatsoever. So really he has been no better than previous coaches brought through.
  3. I doubt this regime will do anything about the coaching. Now or after they lose the next 7 games. They are all as stubborn as MOS.
  4. They moved the Banjo Bowl to Saturday a few years ago.
  5. Based on what we have seen right now I would say win, win, the rest are losses. No cross-over.
  6. In three games of which he won one. So what happens if they throw Streveler in and he does exactly what Nichols did? Who do you dump the blame on then. I completely agree with them not starting Streveler. I don’t agree with them not using him more though. Way too many people are making way too much of what Streveler has done. That is what the fans do though.
  7. He didn’t throw anyone under the bus TSN paraphrased, incorrectly, his comments. The full transcript is out there so best you read it. Or didn’t the apology on TSN in the pregame sink in.
  8. I will disagree on this point. He has done it before but right now they don’t run a lot of quick release type of plays. Especially not short plays that have long play potential depending upon what the receivers can do after. The only quick stuff they do are those brutal screens to to WR.
  9. As often as he can. If he holding the ball too long that’s not always on him. That’s a coverage sack and you need to adjust your O. Nichols scrambled a few times in the last game and even ran when he needed to.
  10. Gotta agree with you on this. However, I have to wonder too what they are being told to do when the QB is in trouble. Are they told to come back? It seems to me that instead of getting open at different levels they all seem to go deeper. I do think our receivers are okay, not great, but they are not stepping up as much as they should. Yes there are crappy throws and missed open guys but every QB does that but the one thing I notice, no matter the QB, we don’t often don’t get the help on scrambles as other teams
  11. The biggest issue I have isn't so much Nichols but the lack of hot plays. We don't have them and it has hurt us in the last few games. That and the lack of motion of the pocket.
  12. I am just not sure at this point if he would make a difference. But at this point I guess I would be willing to see what happens. They need to shake things up. However, what hell do they do to shake the D up?
  13. Honestly? I’m not convinced that Streveler can add much at this point. I don’t oppose him playing more but you know that ain’t gonna happen. We need a bundle of help in the receiving department and some serious help in the secondary.
  14. They were clean. The end zone replay shows it was a clean return
  15. I though so at first but the replay showed all initial blocks were clean. Players were not in their lanes though.
  16. I thought that was obvious lol. Most of the talk was whether the O or D cost the game when it should be very obvious that they both did
  17. Don’t count on that. Montreal, TO, and Hamilton are hot on the heels of the 5-6 Bombers. Besides who really cares anyway when this is clearly a one and done team.
  18. I blame this on the entire team. They played well in the first half. Both sides of the ball failed in the second half. Yeah I can **** on the defence because they allowed the points when they needed to stand strong.
  19. Except this “slump” is 28 years running in a 9 team league. That is futility. While you may like to remain optimistic I tend to not keep the blinders on. I will remain concerned as what has transpired so far this far and hope they can get rid of this trend of mediocrity.
  20. I would think the wrong time to trend down is just about any time. There is time, but not much and I will remain deeply concerned until they show a reversal from the last 16ish games.
