  1. I don't care what astrologists say, the summer solstice is today and summer starts now!
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the problem with this solution be that the incoming landlord could hypothetically charge pretty much whatever they want? I mean from the perspective of the Bombers, at that point their only alternative would be to build a new stadium. Wouldn't doing this effectively be giving the new landlord a monopoly on professional football?
  3. Very good points - not to completely derail this topic, but interestingly enough it appears the litigation by Triple B against RAYMOND S.C. WAN ARCHITECT INC is still ongoing. For anyone else looking for dirt on Triple B (or anyone else for that matter) the Manitoba Court Registry offers a free, publicly accessible search engine that lets you search by name for any court proceedings. It doesn't provide a whole lot of detail, but you can at the very least see where a litigation stands, and if it is still pending. It can be found here: http://www.jus.gov.mb.ca/
  4. I don't think anyone would disagree that the stadium fiasco has cost the Bombers, however the idea of the Province forgiving the debt just so the Bombers can be back in the black is just silly. They've managed to carry the debt thus far without issue, so I don't see why they'd need a helping hand to begin with. Even if they were in trouble financially, the crusade the Pallister government is currently on is to eliminate debt for the Province - not create more of it.
  5. I know its not a popular opinion, but I'd be fine if the Province just paid off my mortgage and gave me a pass. I'd be a very wealthy citizen if that was the case, I suppose it doesn't matter since I don't have to be profitable, as long as I'm breaking even, paying my bills and being a solid citizen.
  6. The 'Riders balance their books the same way the liberals do.... they don't
  7. I think it's actually "Signer em et le comprendre plus ****!" If at your job you received say, 3 months salary from your employer then were let go and you worked in a very competitive field, would you be in a hurry to go out and take the first job offer you could find? It's the off-season, I know we're all impatient, but for all we know maybe Muamba is simply doing some soul-searching before putting ink to paper.
  8. C'mon cut the guy some slack... nobody looks good playing in green and white.
  9. I didn't know the 'Riders fight song was on YouTube!
  10. Oh alright then, carry on...
  11. I am disagreeing with this as a sign of protest for you changing your avatar picture. I miss that goofy wolf-thing already.
  12. Obviously it's not a big deal if the receivers come up short on 2nd down - we'll just call a fake on 3rd down!
  13. Obviously my opinion is biased as a Winnipeg local, but I think developing talent for our team is particularly important. Lots of players speak of how much they love playing in Winnipeg once they get here, no doubt some of that talk is sugar-coated. That said - if we can develop young players while they have cheap contracts, they tend to like it here. This in turn makes for an easier bargaining process down the line when those players want to get paid. Just my two cents.
  14. This is quite simply amazing.
  15. You are correct, the team will go through its fair share of studs and duds. My point is how long each of these guys managed to stick around - 1. Carmichael - Played in 10 games in 2017 where he was woefully inadequate. Interestingly he was replaced by Walker, perfect example of the team successfully moving on from a bad player. 2. Addison Richards - Was with us since 2015, he didn't even play a snap in 2017, also he dumped us (he retired). 3. Davis - Also here since 2015 and has since been cut. 4. Kris Bastien - He was with us for all of the 2015 season - he still hasn't played a single snap in the CFL for any team. We cut him just before the start of the 2016 season. I think we need to learn to cut our losses on players that just don't cut it and move on when something just isn't there.
  16. I would argue they also found Carmichael, Addison Richards, Dominique Davis and Kris Bastien whilst digging.
  17. Even a blind dog finds a bone once in a while.
  18. Given the following function: f(x) = x4+64x3-20x2-1244045x a) Find the equation of the line tangent to the curve. b ) Using the equation from (a), calculate the value of the line tangent given that x = 55. Show your work.
  19. Even a high Duron Carter isn't stupid enough to waste Grey Cup weekend in Regina.
  20. Clearly, there are people in the world that simply don't know how much they don't know (i.e. they're oblivious to their own ignorance).
