  1. Even if they are running, I would expect to see a lot of run blitzes. As others have said, the cats only prayer is if they can get the short passing game going and chain together first downs. Which is some thing this D doesnt give up any more, and that the cats couldnt do vs the 19 bombers.
  2. I think thats about right. STE at rb and back up in at dl. Which is a huge drop off on D. As for O, I dont think they will run more than 12 times any way. But I do like jackson a lot more.
  3. If biggie and mos dont win dopty and coach of the year thats some all time highway robbery.
  4. Inb4 we have to send a million bucks to the argos because they have no fans and need to go over the cap again to try and buy a contender. Having community owned teams profit share with mega wealthy privately owned teams is idiotic. The league was propping up teams for years, its all the same thing by another name. Gotta off set rogers spending 200m on the jays 2022 roster. If any thing the league needs to do better by the players. Most if not every star in the league just took a pay cut this year after getting nothing in 2020. The NFL is making significant raises to PR money for the next 4 years. And we have the XFL and USFL in the next 2 years. Not to mention they just played a shortened schedule with multiple 3 games in 6/7 day stretches, and dealt with all the covid procedures. Rather than prop up the corpse of a dead franchise (toronto) or give free money to the super wealthy, we should give back to our players. Revenue share with the players, and move the vet guarantee date waay up. The league can afford to lose a team. The league can not afford to float money to teams with cash rich owners. With no toronto the league continues. With no prairie teams it doesnt. This isnt about getting cash to mtl, or bc, its all about TO. Right now that ownership group has been the worst move the league has made in a long long time.
  5. The quality and depth the OL has now is insane. I havent seen an OL soo good and deep. But now so is running back. And we have arguably 3 elite wrs who are hold overs. They play book has evolved and improved soo much this year. At times we've seen brilliant wrinkles like the quick wr screens vs edm in the first game, or the PA timing routes to demski, or the pa digs to lawler and bailey, the jet motion screen, and in general the best down field passing big play threat we've seen since prime khari to milt. I think sayles is still a great db and I miss having him. But Idk if he could take a spot this year. The dbs have been insane. And again, especially with rose back, the depth is off the charts. The versatility is huge too. Darby would be one of the top couple of Ss in the league, and BA is the best. We are seeing maybe the best version of Biggie ever. Jeffcoat is having a career year, stove is at his best (which is scary good), and we have great depth on the DL too. Kongbo and sayles have been tremendous when given consistent reps. The depth and progress of hold overs is why the canadian mafia are going from a championship winning group, to a dynasty group.
  6. And they are gonna do it again too. Masoli and evans will be arguing over who has to go back in and brandon banks is gonna houdini and be half way home by half time.
  7. Pretty much. His team wasn't good and they used a poor rb by committee system. I don't think he gets a look in the draft. But I do think he gets a tc inv. I'd say he's a half year to year and a half guy.
  8. A bit of bomber news as Liam dobson our 3rd over all pick this year was an honorable mention all sunbelt player. He started all 12 games starting at 3 different positions on the ol. Rt rg and LG. He took snaps at center as well.
  9. Your tldr is on point. We also have Kyle borsa coming back to camp in 2021. He's extremely versatile and athletic. He should pretty much be a lock for a pr spot based on his ability to catch run and return kicks with that speed.
  10. Only if he gets star qb money up Here. The nfl pr salary is going up 2300 bucks a week for 2022. That's about 210k for a season on the pr. Combine that with the taxes up here and the break even point has got to be like 300 or 350k. And it's still going up. 2021 to 2024 will see the nfl pr salary go up 30ish percent. That could have a big trickle down effect here in the cfl. He turns 27 in January. So he's got a couple years before he ages out too. Mbt kicked around prs and training camps for a long time. Strevy could well do the same. It'll Come down to If he wants to play. Unless the nfl goes back to 3 qb rosters I think his chance to every play is slim. If he does come back and starts for a year or two he could go back to the nfl and have a better chance. But I don't know if he comes back up here to back up. I'd love to have him back though.
  11. It's going to be interesting to see where these guys land.
  12. I don't think so at all. I think if we win another cup the chance he retires is high. I love the guy and I want him to have a great life post football. I'd love to see him coach. I don't want to see him go all emit Smith playing way past when his body can hold up. Lucky and sheed must've been the 2nd best roommate situation in 19. Talk about two peas in a pod. The best of course being the epic bromance between woli and stevy
  13. Oof. Life time suspension. Bluto do you have any view on ray? Did you get to see him practice or in tc or any thing. I mean they say he's unblockable. But in game action he's been awful. Do you have any thoughts on if he's actually been hurt or if he just sucks? You guys are a qb away from being a perennial gc team. That d is very good and the offense has tons of weapons. It'll be interesting to see what you guys do in the offseason.
  14. The only difference between the 19 riders ol and the 21 ol is the 21 was young and the rider fans knew they were bad. The 19 ol was old and the rider fans thought they were better. The riders aren't 1 ol away. Not even a prime Bryant away. If I was them I'd be going hard after gray and Eli. Or especially desjarlais if he's a fa. Nothing and I mean nothing will fix Fajardo. Doesn't matter what line or wrs or running game he has. This in ability to throw 20 yards down field is between his ears. No outside force will change that.
  15. They are but the 21 wr core is a shadow of its 2019 version. Honestly this cats team still seems broken from the 19 gc. They have none of the swagger or confidence. The only thing worse than being cocky and thinking you have it won before you play is being broken and thinking you have it lost before you play. I feel like the cats have gone from cocky to broken.
  16. I think we should have 3 independent judges. They each view and make a decision. Each one gets a vote and democracy wins. No more protection of refs calls. The judges call the play as they see it. That was the such an amazing decision. I thought dude was crazy for passing on free pizza for a year. What an MOP move though.
  17. Being in the stands it's much easier to get stuff wrong than at home. But that play was the most baffling thing I've seen. Seriously. And I watched a bunch of Tim Donaghy refed nba games that were fixed. Plus way too many angel hernandez called baseball games. The cfl needs to do a serious overhaul on the command center system and fire every decision maker involved this year. The reviews are soo bad this year there is no point to even having them. I might be wrong on this one but I'm 90 percent sure I'm not. On the roughing play where proulx couldn't get the team names right 91 for the riders rolled up on one of our ols knees from behind late and about 15 yards away from the play. They gave the Bombers a first but didn't move the ball forward. Unless I'm mistaken and they called it off setting but I was sure they gave us the first. That play was Dyson Esq and should've drawn an ejection. Also the side line judge on the west side kept over ruling the spot of the ball from 30 plus yards away. Some of the worst spots I've seen this year. Not just for us though bad across the board. The lack of all kinds of holding and illegal block calls was sickening too. They botched the too many men call on the fake punt too. Idk why we didn't challenge. That rider slide but didn't come close to getting off the field in time. This one was close all through out and turned into a great game. The best the post season of 2021 will probably have to offer. But man the reffing was horrid.
  18. How is it not news either holy crap. Kick that loser out.
  19. And in the 2nd half in looked like every one of those people showed up and got loud. Amazing game. The fan base deserves a star too
  20. Wth was With that booth review catch by Duke. I don't expect much of the booth but that was criminal
  21. 1 Harris. Beast mode game. He tore the riders front up all night. 2 2 jeffs. 2 tackles 1 sack 1 ff each. 3 biggie. All over the field making plays. Prime biggie performance in a huge game. Hh the big missed kick return by Grant. Really put mo on our side. Crunch of the game. Ba on the side line with biggie smashed a wr on a screen. Block of the game was yoshi pushing his man about 30 yards down field on a keeper then tossing him to the ground.
  22. I was pulling for als or argos vs us in the gc. After the covid violation and bs none punishment and the cats cheating the ratio I wish Montreal had won. Or even ott. Hate the east division.
  23. Gotta be at this game. West final in Winnipeg in December bout to trounce the 4 stripes. Remember if you're loud you won't be cold.
  24. Gonna be an interesting day for fans coming in from out of town. Least it isnt icy leave early go slow and you don't get cold if you stay loud. I hope the province sends plows out early today to accommodate Highway travels.
  25. How Many games has Andrew harris missed? He's had to integrate 2 different rbs and a bunch of wrs for demski and adams. He's had to start a back up qb with no experience and a game with 3rd string ol. The offense of 2019 was also not based around collaros and his skill set. The offense this year is heavily adjusted to collaros. The 2019 offense struggled a lot it relied on the best kicker ever and a great d to win. He's taken an offense that for years was the worst at going 2 and out overly reliant on pounding Harris into the ground and none stop check downs. Buck took that and had the leagues leading passer the highest scoring offense with the most explosion plays. Bill bellicheck says that luck is the residue of hard work.
