Most teams spent to the floor last year. This year they are spending to the cap. That iirc a bit over 1 million dollars difference. Bc is saving an extra half mil from Reilly too. -

300k is probably close to what jones Nichols alford and both Hallett boys combined for last year. -

Last I recall he got 150k a year but that was a while back I have no idea what he made in 21. I would say under 100k for sure. Walters doesn't like em but I'd do an incentive laden deal. If he regained his no1 production he should be paid as such. Agree. Maybe he needs to see the lack of market for his services. I could see plop throwing him 80 to 100k though. Borsa will be min and might be a pr guy. Seems like Harris might be gone. Gotta have atleast 2 nis and they require decent Pay. But if Harris comes back no contract is guaranteed you can easily trade Brady or augustine or cut one worst case. Aging vet wr with a dip in production that's the only way we sign em. Though the one from bc and dressler worked out OK atleast. -

Honestly wouldn't give adams much to come back. He hasn't been no 1 imp wr material for years. And even then was injury prone. He'd have to be a low risk high reward type deal. Glad we got Brady and Taylor back. Gonna be crushing if that's it for Harris. -

Don't forget LaFrance got like 155k on the strength of 1 game. Never underestimate the league over paying a ni that could start. -

I can only see 2 possible ways for it to be worth paying a wr qb money. 1 a Ricky Williams type situation. Some one whose an NFL star. Maybe a once in a generation situation. 2 you have hands down the best wr a league star who is in the nfl Window age and Canadian. Right now I dont think the league has a star wr in that elite tier. If Lawler was an ni I wouldn't see him as worth 300k a year under this cap. -

Pre injury banks and lucky white head. Demski is most like hines ward. Faster than his 40 tremendous blocker and did more than any one else away from the ball under rated ability to gain yards after the catch. -

By reports you mean the 2 sentences by Farhan lionguy the bomber hater who was driving the same alleged wedge with collaros and the Bombers. The same guy guaranteeing the xfl merger last year with the loss of all Canadian rules etc. The same guy who repeatedly accuses us of cheating any time we sign any one. Even despite all that his allegations don't sound like the mafia at all. And if he had such a good connection with the bomber brass or some one behind them then he'd a had a lot more breaking bomber news. Like the trade dead line or player signings. The leaks he delivers comes from agents an hour or 2 before it's ratified with the league. “Coming out of the lost COVID season. Harris was admittedly distracted and his preparation wasn’t necessarily as all in as it needed to be,” Lalji alleged. “That led to some frustration in the building and there’s a belief that it also may have contributed to his injuries that forced him to miss a large portion of last season.” I wouldn't take this guys word on any thing other than what the Lions owner or xfl managers had for breakfast. Jake Thomas laughs nervously. Jake Thomas laughs nervously. -

It was injury related. They hoped he would be healthy to come back at some point but didn't seem to happen. Not at all. 0 chance that if some thing like that happened that it'd get out of the room. But also no way Harris came in out of shape and sassy. -

The right fa one of the best ol coaches and lots of ni talent and time. If you look back at our starting Nis it isnt a lot of junior call ups. Goosen no2 same as sukh then Couture 10th desjarlais no4 gray 8th. Eli would've been that high or better too if teams knew he was coming back from injury in College. And the whole hadrick is a much better tackle than guard plus bond being a monster at guard for us. The riders have been trying to fix that ol for years with free agents and draft picks. Same with bc and edm and basically every one. I think the big difference other than great scouting is culture and development. Culture and leadership mean a lot in football across the board. But no place more so than the ol. A guy like dickenson in ssk can't build a great ol. -

Idk, this off season negotiation period seems like the theme is "lets break the bank." Thats a good move, I like it. -

We have a big time stud ol prospect in the wings too, laim dobson. But its always a pretty safe bet to say we or any cfl team will look hard to add linemen in the draft. Yeah theyve built that way, the next step is the hard one though. But then we've watched as guys left in FA over the past few years and been doing it already. This season might just see some harder names go. -

He should prepare to hold out and be ready to settle for mid level money and a good bonus. Maybe hold out till they stop pissing around with 250k offers to lawler and offer that cash to some guys who can keep him off his ass. -

Some one, I don't recall who but credit to them, said in another thread I think that this is how the stamps stayed a dynasty. They didnt get overly sentimental in their attachments and never let feelings get in the way of progress on the roster. They didn't over pay their vets. If they got a huge offer else where, the next guy up was just as good or better. It takes a LOT of trust in your organization to do that. We've seen so far that the bombers have done that at several positions. None the least of which being DT, DB and OL. I'll add to that idea, doing the opposite of what the stamps did is how the 2001 bomber team collapsed in the years following. We didn't find and replace vets, we got stuck in this "we are good enough, just keep it together" mode. As if Walters and the rest of the mafia didnt have a hard enough job just keeping a core of a team together. They also have to know when to stop chasing a great player like maybe lawler or stove, and develop the next one. -

It really is. If they sign lawler to the reported offer, that would have to be the most expensive WR core in modern cfl history. I'll be really disappointed if stove leaves. But if we get Drake nevis back and save money that's the next best thing. Both Sayles and richardson are poised for monster years next year. I really hope it comes in blue n gold. Take my money on that line too. Not just because of the lack of depth or questions about rourke. But the fan base too. They couldnt draw fans with Reilly, go tell the fans that Rourke is QB1 and try to sell season tickets. You'd have to pay to have them hauled to the dump. -

Thats true, its not that they dont have the money, it's that they are going to create the exact same situation they were in. Trying to win the offseason and make the splashy moves rather than fill all the roster holes. -

I feel like BC has learned nothing from the Reilly contract. But it's just my suspicion. That said if a DL single handled dismantled my OL I would probably go after him hard too. Funny to see BC trying to buy a DL now, after spending 3 dollars in macdonalds coupons on it last year. But they did the same thing with their secondary last year and it didnt work out great either. -

only what 45 hours from ottawa to vancouver? shouldnt be a problem on the 3 games in 7 days schedule. 😆 You're right. But I don't like ottawa, and I like masoli even less. I hope we slap them around hard enough to make up for missing out on the free bingo spot last year. -

@gcn20 Look at the names sheridan, mudge, krenbrink, jermese jones, gyetvai, elewonibi, orlando bobo, benedict ibisi, scott harper, andrew carter, goodspeed, parenteau, ryan bachman, corey annett, mike abou-mechrek, val st germain, dom picard, obby khan, garrick jones, belton johnson, kyle koch, paul archer, alexandre gauthier, andrew greene, matt o'meara, bobby singh, ryan donnelly, and darryl conrad. Mudge was the first guy gone from that list and is probably the best OL. Point out the Hall of fame worth guys and guys who should've won most outstanding linemen. The point out which of those guys would've cracked our roster in the past couple years. The only guy on that list who would be that good was garrick jones. And he was here part of a year iirc then in the NFL. 80% of that list wouldnt make it as TCF. You'd have to take the best of those guys at their best to make a top notch OL. That list has a decent chunk of solid - good while here OL, But even when the line was good they over achieved as a unit with some great coaching. -

It is. The OL we had at the dawn of the khari era was already old. Guys like moe elewonibi played for a couple years after the wheels fell off. In 03 it was average to good. 04-06 that OL was one of the worst we ran out in the past 30 some years. Our offense continued to work because khari and glenn were mobile and got rid of the ball in a hurry. 07 it gets better but is average at best 08 it was worse.
