got a good glimpse at what the Jets are capable of in that game.

I thought the goal was more on Ehlers than Stu. Stu took his man out and Ehlers just stood there and watched Winnik grab the puck and take it to the net.

What about Armia? Letting him seize up on the pine? I'd much rather see him playing for the Moose and working on his game than riding the pine with the Jets. He was supposedly playing well the last few weeks but why call him up to not play at all?
 
Postma? If he isn't going to play or be sent to the Moose, trade the guy and give him a chance elsewhere..... (or trade Myers for Hamonic, wrap up Ladd in a package for Duchene and sign Buff).
 
It makes more sense to trade or demote Hutch and keep Pavs if Helle stays up with the team. Depending on Helles progress, you trade Pavs when you think Helle is ready for the starter's job and bring up Hutch or Comrie. Just a thought, does anyone think Paves would be a good number two goalie making 1.8m or so a year for a a couple years? Play in about 30 games a year.

Trade Hutch, keep Pavs here until Helle is ready for the starter's role.

Hutch has been pretty awful since the all star break last year actually.
Just looks lost. No confidence. Big rebounds always. Fighting the puck big time. Always losing his stick too. He had a very good 20 games to start his career but since then he's been pretty bad. He needs to make a save or 2 at times like the other goalie did tonight. He didn't. 833 save percentage tonight. That's pretty Damn awful. The first goal... no chance. The others tho... especially the 4th goal against him.... Weak and a huge momentum killer to boot
He's a below average goalie like pav. With average goaltending we probably win thus game.
Not sure helle should have started but... he should next game for sure.

They should try Armia with Ehlers and Burmi. Maurice won't tho. Pretty obvious that the players lack faith in hutch

I'm thinking he gets the start tomorrow.

he's put up 8 points in the last 10 games....compare that (or his past history) to some of those stats I listed earlier. (not bad for a 4th liner!)
 
Torts is like Keenan, comes in and moves out a star player to show who the alpha dog is.

It's unfortunate that this team gives up the easy games like this.
Losing points here will bite us in the ass later in the season.

If defense is what we need now then Hamonic.

Huge moment in Hutch's career. If he falters he'll pretty much cement his position as a career backup.

6 assists and zero goals in his last 30 games. That's trouba. He ain't getting big money

I really hope Helle takes over the starter's role with no questions asked. I know the topic has been beaten to death but the Jets need consistent above average goaltending ....they haven't had that since coming from Thrashervile.
