Jets at Wild... 3PM

Goalie

Apparently his alma mater is wishing him congrats on his first NHL start tonight. Haven't seen any confirmation anywhere tho? I think it's the smart call, if true. Helles Bells are ringing, time to answer.

Former #RiverHawk goalie Connor Hellebuyck to make his #NHL debut today for the @NHLJets at @mnwild at 4pm #UnitedInBlue #AlwaysARiverHawk

Have to make mention and acknowledgment of Mark Stuart who recently (last game) recorded his 1000th blocked shot in the NHL.

1002 blocked shots! That's a lot of blocks.

He's had 5.3 blocks for every 60 minutes (6.1 career) he's played and he hits 10.2 times for every 60 minutes (7.4 career) for games this year.

Keep your head up when you face him...

Peluso sending an early message.

Best Jets fight Ive seen in a long time.

Can't get to a TV.... Did Peluso kick some ass?

Im at work listening.  Sounds like the Wild player scored a few shots and Peluso turned the switch and whooped him.  Announcers said Wild player had his hand up to protect his head waiting for the linesmen to break it up.

Nice.  I'll have to look that one up later.

That was their best game all season by far, complete 60 minutes, strong defensively, very solid possession numbers for sure. If they play like that from now on, They will make the play-offs for sure. No doubt about it. That's the Jets team we have all been waiting for. Helle didn't get a lot of work but he looked big in the net and confident, didn't have to make any spectacular saves but that's the type of goalie he is, strong positioning, made a couple nice saves when the game was tied, only goal that beat him went off stuart..

Trouba just had his best game all year and I wonder if the Hamonic trade rumors sort of affected his play? Might have, Several reports today have said the Jets have said they aren't trading Trouba for Hamonic. He responded with his best overall game of the year, Big BIG GOAL for Ehlers. Perreault starting to heat up now too, Beyak mentioned perreault really didn't get going until about game 20 last year, looked like the same this year as he's had 2 strong back to back games. Goals in both.

Jets looked really good. Like i said, play like that every game from now on and they will be in the playoffs.

Side Note: Wild took a time out with about 2 minutes left, They showed Hutch on the bench a bit, didn't look like he was very happy at all.
