Everyone seems to be giving the Riders the benefit of the doubt.

Sure Collaros was absolute garbage last year, continuing his downward spiral to sub-mediocrity, but...

Sure Jones was the linchpin that kept their defense organized but...

Sure their offense looked like hot garbage but...

Sure their best receivers left but...

Sure their best two defensive players left but they picked up a couple of old guys, so...

Sure they dumped a very good positional punter but picked up an old NFL punter, so...

Sure their offensive line was old and tired last year and now they're older and broken but...

But nothing. So what. They're going to be really bad this year.

    Hamilton by 20 points.

We beat them both times last year and have won the last 5 games in a row against them.  They have 15 rookies on their team and you are picking them by 20?  Ok then

so the same except for the massive difference in scoring and turning the ball over... I think you need to re-evaluate what you want out of your quarterback.

They both threw 13 interceptions, so not sure what you are getting at with turning the ball over.  What I want out of my qb is a lot more than either of these two qb's can provide.  Nichols was crying when the fans boo'd him, ya he is a leader alright.

whats their win loss records though over the past 4 years...and who's the chubby one?

NIchols.  I thought that was obvious. lol.  I don't know win loss records I never bothered to look it up.  My point is the stats don't overwhelmingly favor either guy.  I actually don't like either. I'm not a big fan of Collaros but understand why he is here, need a vet.  Nichols is overhyped beyond belief, he will never win a cup as a starter, not good enough

The results will speak for themselves. Nichols cried himself all the way to the WF after he walked over the riders the last 2 times he played them. Including Collaros and his fantastic performance in that shut out.

**** the riders, **** their fans. 2-16 starts tonight.

    1-0 starts tonight

18 td passes versus 9 td passes is identical? Flunked math did we?

I actually did quite well in math, how did you do in reading?   I said nearly identical, I didn't specifically pick one number and claim it to be fact. I looked at all of them at the same time, you should try it some time. You will get better at it with some practice.    Both played 14 games,  3146 yards versus 2999 yards.  392 att =254 comp versus 382 att = 234 comp.  8 yard average versus 7.9.  18 tds 13 int versus 9td  13int.  Basically the chubby one threw 9 more tds.  career overall numbers are also very close.  It wasn't a secret last year our offense was having trouble scoring, anyone who has ever played team sports knows its never one thing.  A variety of factors goes into success on the field or on the ice

So in other words when fortunes turn or weather is bad people stay away.

Mosaic, we were all told, was built bigger to accommodate the unique passion.

The patented Rider fanbase standard switcheroo..."we're the best/we're no different than anybody else"

Of course its bigger, we average over 32k per game

So you wanna make it back to back days talking out your ass? You gotta go back years to find a time Collaros was worth anything, and it certainly hasn't ever been in Saskatchewan. I anxiously await these so called hard facts.

So if you actually look at their numbers, nearly identical last year as well over their career's.  Don't see a strong argument on your end to make your claim that Nichols is clearly better. The evidence is just not there, pain and simple

  8. 1 minute ago, 17to85 said:

Well actually Nichols is quite a lot better than Collaros. But go ahead, let me see your argument, it's been a long day and I could use a laugh.

I've been at it with the entire site already today about Ambrosie cheating to help you guys. I'm tired too. Tomorrow I'll regroup with some hard facts and evidence to support my position.

Yeah well Nichols is basically just a younger Glenn at this point so what's your point?

My point is he isn't any better than Collaros.  Neither will lead a team to a cup win. You are commenting that Glenn is better than Collaros, what about Nichols??  same argument could easily be made

  10. 3 hours ago, 17to85 said:

Yeah except I didn't say Glenn was better than Bridge, I said better than Collaros, which is probably still true. Or do you buy the crap about him being better this year? Guy is into full on Buck Pierce territory, except in the case of Pierce I think the spirit was still willing while the flesh was weak, Collaros seems much more broken mentally too.

Kind of a funny comment considering you have please don't touch me or boo me or I will cry Nichols at the helm

Hey Rip, we know you are joking....sometimes not sure about some guys on your own site......you know, the ones that were crying, a while back.... about the CFL's ongoing conspiracy against Chris Jones and the Riders.

For me, the Canadian Mafia stuff is a constant barrel of laughs.

    You are welcome to post......

ps...over the years, have always used my name, because at this stage, I like to think of it....like a good brand of gin.

I appreciate that you do, at least I know who I am talking to there and here.  The Canadian mafia stuff is definitely true, Dave Dickensen said so
