I'm not going to beat the 4 stripes attendance into the ground but when you have their biggest cheerleader on tv claim that 35k are at the game when you clearly can see big empty sections and you could still find tickets available on the selling sitess, it's misleading to claim a sell out.

I don't know why they said that. I never watched it on tv so can't confirm or deny what was said.  I would like to comment on 4 stripes.  I like it, good original nickname.  well done

they can announce whatever they want...but when you see huge swaths on tv in upper deck totally empty then that tells me nope..no sell out...same with other sections...but I guess all those people in those sections decided as a group to not come for some inexplicable reason eh Rip's? ;)

and not to beat a dead horse to death...with noting else to spend $$ on at a professional event there should be no reason at all to not sell out every game...

I was there and it was a good crowd. After the rain hit I'd say maybe 18-20k fans were still there.  There was a solid 30 in there when game started, believe what you want, doesn't matter to me.

I would suspect that Toronto's defence cannot possibly play as poorly as they have the last couple of games. You really think it was your offence that was the kill shot against them? LMAO....The Toronto defence was literally stumbling and bumbling around and didn't even know what their assignments were. You could see them trying to figure it our pre-snap on a ton of their plays. Fajardo took advantage of a defence that was so assignment poor that their were missed coverages on virtually every play. In all honesty, I think we would have hung 70 points on that D.

I am not hyping our offense up at all.  Just mentioning a far superior one like yours should have no problem inflicting far more damage. I humbly await

Yet you pump up Collaros as better.

I can see you are one of the I know you are but what am I guys around here. How am I pumping Collaros's tires and when did this occur. It bugs you that what I say about Nichols is true and you know it so you fire back about everything else but that.

And yet, we beat you in the WSF in your stadium. Matter of fact, it was sooooo easy.

LOL.  NIchols passed for 169 yards and you beat us 23-18. Thanks for making my point Matt's mom

His awesomeness continued the following game against Calgary with a whopping 156 passing. You lost because Harris couldn't carry team in that one. Matt can't win when the running game doesn't do it for him

Are you seriously pushing Fajardo into the light of scrutiny after his first victory ever?  Do you really want to go there?

I am not pushing Farjardo, more like reminding you how bad your guy is. Go there?  Where are we going?

How come we can't talk on a rider board like ripper talks on here ?........ wow..... hey ripper tell you er friends over there they are a bunch of chickenshits....

The majority of the people don't mind at all. There's always the I know you are but what am I crowd on every board. I don't get along with everyone on the board myself. Was banned one time for calling Duron Carter a idiot.

Aside from the occasional misguided jab, Ripper is respectful on here. Nothing he’s saying in this thread is out of line. I realize he’s a Rider fan on a Bomber forum but we’re being a little juvenile. And yes, I realize he often sings a slightly less friendly tune on RF.com.

I am way harder on my own team than I am on anyone else's.  I want to win the cup every year. shouldn't be a problem should it.  Right now we are still trying to hammer out how Gainer got addicted to crystal meth

Its kind of what the riders have done as far as qbs since durants departure so yeah id agree. Or you could search the riders forum for his name and see how many posts pop up pining for him.

I've always like Fajardo. He could be really good. Thus far its a tiny sample size against some real bad defense early in a season where all the teams are showing rust. Look at what offenses with elite qbs and talent have done vs our d, vs what every one has done to the als and argos. The biggest disparity in the league right now is in defensive play.

The big thing for any pro but especially a qb and a mobile one at that isn't how they start. Its how they play after the defenses around the league get film on them and adjust play calls to counter them. Weve seen tons of flash in the pan qbs like this. Both davis and fajardo are over achieving. I dont expect either to  end up with a year average any thing similar to what they are doing now. Should we see streveler  this year it will be the showing of if he has taken the next step and cant adapt  beyond what defenses do to him.

Also the fact you facetiously miss spell his name to fire shots tells me you arent the most secure in this very recent bloom of Fajardos.

Not really the type of thing contending teams worry about. If streveler doesn't play at all this year, it means very good things. Then we find another in the off season. Just like we did with our OL, and JSK, and S, and whitey etc. Wolves don't concern them self with the opinions and actions of sheep.

At this point, Fajardo is nothing more than promising. Anyone who has watched can see he has looked very good, very good indeed. Small sample size, no film on him etc etc. Hoping that continues but who knows.  As far as your other guy, I don't care which way it goes, I only asked a question about whether or not poster was fine with letting him walk. I see that you are and that's fine, others may not agree with you by seasons end

He also played injured for most of the year so what's your point?

When Fajardo has as many wins as Nichols as a starter we can talk.

My guess is the Bombers put up 200-250 yards passing and 150 rushing against the Argos. As that is what Lapo likes to call.

Probably. 250 likely pushing it, more like 200 but yes.  That's about what it will be. Guess we will see how the numbers look at end of the year.

First of all, its Streveler, Ripper. Spell his name correctly. Second, I think it foolish to assume that there is no plan to use Streveler more over the course of the season or that if faced with a choice in the off season, Walters automatically keeps Matt.

Sorry about spelling. I try haerde in futurr to nott offend u.  When I did I ever say they would automatically keep Nichols?

Despite the lop-sided win for the Riders, I still maintain that they and Fajardo are not good. Yer granny could have beaten the hapless Argos and I think they might actually  be worse than the Burke Bombers that still cause many of us to wake up screaming in the middle of the night.

Toronto in your barn in two weeks, should be zero reason a far superior qb of yours shouldn't have any trouble laying more than 430 yards passing against them? Especially considering he has never done it ever in his career.  I'll be watching intently

while it's sad to say, and nobody wants to see any player get hurt, it does make for an easier transition to a new future QB.... even when they struggle you get to lean on the fact that you had no choice and fight thru them, where teams generally fight that difficult time as long as possible...

Be a tough sell to the fan base but wouldn't it be nice to see Shreveller start 3 games to see what you got before you have to decide on Nichols. Shreveller's deal is up at end of year, are you ok letting him walk?

Yes the "hit" was dirty but....I question if the Riders win be in the win column had Collaris stayed healthy.  My 2 cents the Riders had to move on from him and Simoni forced it to happen. I don't see Collaris winning the job back even if healthy. I believe the Riders will be a better team in the long run, in saying that though I truly do hope that Collaris has no long term affects from this.

    Agreed
