Rider defence looked like crap and a typically bad ref job by Murphy.  
 
Sunseri started to play decent in the second half.  Good to see.
 
Touchdown catch by Dressler was a fantastic play.
 
Anyway, sometimes your team gets lucky and today the Riders were lucky.

Hey sucka! Always lovely to see the gutless trolls show up and try to cause a ruckus.Sunseri? He's got to get rid of the frickin ball. Standing around like a statue made the O-line look worse then it was. The TiCat interior defensive line is a beautiful thing (and Nationals too).
Offence and special teams were weak sauce. Defence? They had good coverage but Collaros was squeezing the ball into tight coverage all day with a quick release and good scrambling. This is the Collaros the TiCats wanted to see.
It's going to be tough without DD but there was plenty of blame to go around.
Peace and enjoy the bye week. It'll give you guys a chance to heal up.
Also, note that I wasn't on here acting like a jack ass after the Lion/Bomber game.

I've heard Brandon get trash talked by Sask folk plenty of times too.  Mainly due to the constant whuppings the Wheat Kings hand out to your WHL teams.

But I think the fair question is, how much depth do you expect to build in one offseason? 
 
Realisticaly, every GM is going to go through bodies until they get the right guys .. if you look across the league, the teams that are successful have established rosters.  We are middle of year one of a massive roster overhaul.  We aren't going to have great depth overnight.  It's going to take time to build a solid base .. then after that .. begin upgrading talent at the back end of the roster.
 
Again, anyone who thinks this is going to happen in one or two seasons is sorely deluding themselves .. and when you factor in the sheer number of injuries we've had this season, I think it's reasonable to say we are getting a LOT out of the bodies we have in camp right now.

If you recall, Willy's first start a couple years ago vs Mtl he struggled big time as well.
That said, Sunseri's performance was very disappointing, it's like he just stood there like a statue. Easily one of the worst Riders QB games I've seen in over a decade. I think he gets one more shot to prove his worth then it's time to move on to Doege or Price. With the very good team that we have, it's tough wasting time on a QB that might get better.
Good news around Regina though is that it sounds like Durant could be back in time for playoffs. Fingers crossed.

If a team can put up over 150 yards on the ground at will it is an issue. The Lions don't exactly have a Calgary or Saskatchewan level O-line so if they are rushing from 160 the scheme is being exploited. This could be really ugly against Cornish.

You know Calgary are a bunch of clowns when you see there little end zone dance whilst getting thumped by 19 points.

I think Grigsby is just starting to get his football legs back up under him self. He showed a bit more power over the past couple weeks. Got to remember he did not play football for a entire year and was playing a different sport not training to play football..
