Much to the dismay of others, I'm an extrovert but that isn't a must to be a good coach.
Introverts have their own styles to teach and coach.
Actually I think athletes and coaches are judged by media to be introverted when they are really just being cautious of saying something that can be twisted by the media. I am not pissed by the Bombers losing in 1972 but I am still mad at being misquoted by media in 1992.

We got good pressure on Fajardo in all 3 games. His legs helped him out immeasurably. The RIders OL is not good at all and were HUGE beneficiaries of Fajardo's legs. Without his legs I could see us with a snowman of sacks.
Is there going to be enough sow to make snowmen or even snow angels?

Clements was a natural introvert , intellectual...maybe a little dour. Lots of fans mistook it for not caring so when things went bad and Clements said little or nothing fans got snarly.
Nary a defender when he was run out of here in 1983.
I don't remember that but he is a coach now isn't he. He must have got over the introvert stuff.

Sean Salisbury 2.0!
Actually ZC reminds me a lot of Tom Clements. Even down to the easily and oft injured part.
I like Zach but he does not have the form that TC had. I don't actually know if he had good form but it looked like it back then. He was deadly on the run which is not little thing. Zach is not at that level but nostalgia also distorts like beer goggles. This is so fun thinking about the good times instead of recent failures. I have never felt older. Damn you all.

That could get down right sadistic...
Mr Roberts was in a time warp. He thought he was in the 50's and the football thing was side gig. Who needs to train?

Funny you went there. When I saw that "blows" thing I thought I usually just bet a ten spot but hey to each their own.

Never had broken ribs but I had something I'm quite positive was an oblique strain/tear.
Awful pain
Me too. Undiagnosed to be sure but oblique strain was not fun at all. I also have some back issues since I was 10 so pain is not unknown.

This is my ultimate revenge game as a fan. Who else remembers the 1972 Western Final? Who the teams were? Where they finished in the standings? The horrible way the Bombers lost that game? For us old timers with lonnnnnnnnng memories, just how glorious will it be if we beat the Riders in their home park? In front of their fans? And how good will it feel for us to break their hearts???
The teams are the same but the standings reversed. They're hosting instead of us. Pressure is on them to win in front of their own fans in their House in front of a big crowd. I've waited 47 years for this game. Please Bombers, wash the stench of that loss in 1972 away finally. FINALLY!!!
Looking at the roster for 1972 I definitely remember the names like Mini Mack and Big Bill Frank and Don Jonas too but I can't remember individual games. I tip my hat to your holding the bitterness for all that time. I predict you will have release this weekend. You can laugh this Sunday like I am sure we here all did last Sunday.

NEVER...never underestimate your opponent.....We have to file this win AGAINST cAL
Pulled muscles in your back can be a real bugger....You think that you can do what you usually do...you baby the area...but when you ask the back to perform a little out of the ordinary...sometimes just a bit ...it can double you over...Fajardo is in a binder... IF they're not putting us all on they are in a deep pile of doo doo
I thought it was obliques ie abdomen but the same applies. Everything involving throwing or running is going to be affected by oblique problem. If Fajardo has oblique problem I can't see him being effective at all. Even his little spin wouldn't work as well.

I think some of us are a bit over confident. We may hate the Riders but we have to respect them. No swelled heads by the players. Hopefully, O'Shea & the coaches keep the team grounded.
Luckily none of us are playing. We can be as overconfident as we like. The best parts of being a fan is bragging about something you don't contribute to and watcing the other fans cry.

I love the CFL, NCAA, and the NFL but have difficulty keeping up with all of them and, by the time the Super Bowl is over, I'm done.
The only reason I have any hope of knowing what's going on in the NCAA and NFL is because I have nine year old at home obsessed with sports and statistics.
Also, I know what's happening in the NFL this season because the 49ers are relevant. Otherwise, I'm just a casual observer until December.
I don't follow NFL much but I know the Patriots lost and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy but not as fuzzy as I am going to feel watching the Bombers drinking wine and chewing some classy finger food.

That's just for salary cap purposes though. Hard pill to swallow if they're paying three guys.
For MLSE this is not a lot of money. Leafs and Raptors are huge moneybags. A little coin spillage would deal with Argos salary issues. The embarassment of empty seats is more of an issue.

And I am of the opinion that Hervey ought to have been fired as well. He really hamstrung the Lions with his personnel decisions.
You and anyone who has done addition and subtraction as well as watched a few games.

They could probably pull these out for you:
I'm sure there are still lots at the Bomber store available.
My bet is that there is a bunch in a third world country used to line the chicken coop.

That was great. I am amped for the game. What I still have to work...

Sure the rules have swung too far to the offensive side of the ball but the casual fan prefers offense to defense so the customer is almost always right.

Bob was the best ever !!
Renovating house too !!
Over 20 years ago I lived on Clare Ave a couple of houses down from Bob Cameron who was living in the house that the Riverview park head lived in (Winnipeg history). You could see huge cracks in the foundation and walls. If he got that thing in livable condition then he was as good at renovations as kicking. I was too shy to talk to him. I always feel like a kid fan instead of a grown ass man.

all you guys trying to find a way to sit there and watch it on your 6" phone screen........ffs, we have the best radio PBP crew in the league by a mile! Take advantage! Seriously, at our cabin at Victoria Beach, one of the amazing, simiple pleasures in life is sitting around listening to CJOB Bombers football. During intermission we walk down our front steps and jump into the lake for a quick dip, then come back up for the second half. Cottage life is all about being tech-free as much as possible. Go old school this weekend with the Bombers broadcast.
I am leaving for the cottage in the morning and I sure hope I can get CJOB reception. The cottage is a house in the woods with no cell coverage (I am not roughing it at all) and I will get the internet set up on Tuesday but its frigging Tuesday.

I was at the game. Sitting in the end zone. I just stopped paying attention after half time. And left mid way through the 3rd to wonder around while trying to not puke. Just absolutely horrid.
I had plenty of games like that in the early ninety's but that might have been due to do with pre game pitchers of beer and guacamole at the Chi Chi's.

Tim Burke was the worst head coach I have ever seen this team have and that's saying something.
Great defensive coordinator, absolutely terrible head coach.
Does the name Mike Kelly ring a bell?

I disagree, If he indeed did get tainted supplements and can prove it by getting his remaining stuff tested or stuff from the same lot number.
He salvages his legacy as one of the best RBs to play in the league. The only reason I can see for him not doing it is if indeed there is no tainted supplement at all.
Hey I don't blame the guy, players get nicked up and he is a huge part of your offence so the pressure on him to preform must have been huge.
Do I think he took them by accident? No I don't.............let the shrapnel fly.
If the contamination is hit and miss then even testing might not show unless you test a large number and who is going to pay for that. He has already taken responsibility for taking a non certified supplement. He has not suggested that someone spiked his coke (although Ben Johnson might have had a point there)

Reggie Slack. Went to the Regina because they like to collect our addicts.
Mini Mack was the best addict that the Bombers employed to the best of my knowledge. I don't remember him going green but if he did I probably would have wiped it out of the memory banks with the Men in Blue pen.

It did seem like Bo was lost. But even if I had the knowledge to analyze why, the wine in my system would short circuit any thinking.
