  1. Past hour
  2. Is anyone watching Three Body Problem? I heard good things about it, so started watching and was hooked immediately. Some fairly heavy sci-fi if you're into that. I've resisted the temptation to read a summary of the book so I don't know what's going to happen, but hopefully there is payoff in the end, unlike X-Files. If there isn't at least it's only 8 episodes instead of five years waiting for something big to happen
  3. Blaise Bryant. Hell of a back. Wrecked his knee in the second to last game 94. Underrated reason for the playoff flameout that year vs Baltimore. He was a great receiving back that year too, like 120 yards from scrimmage per game type back. Played a couple more years but was busted up...and best QB those couple years was Reggie Slack. They started about 8 different guys. The end of Cal Murphy's run. In 94 they went to Keith Woodside who was a washed up NFLer to replace Bryant for playoffs. I'm pretty sure Dunigan hated him, no chemistry anyway. Totally ****** up that offense which was one of best in CFL history for the playoffs.
  4. well at least Vegas didn't have a team when 1.0 existed
  5. I hope for a beatdown of Vegas... But I am expecting another loss. I still haven't recovered from my Jets 1.0 trauma.
  6. Today
  7. So who am I to believe? 3 points or 3 wins?
  8. So am I really the only one that randomly remembers the Grey Cup and feels like someone just kicked me in the junk?
  9. Remember when Cody Fajardo mounted a last second comeback to beat the Bombers in the Grey Cup? I don't. It never happened. * rocks back and forth sobbing *
  10. I think there's a second tier of all-time running backs for people like Washington, Mimbs and especially Fred Reid. Will always be a Fast Freddy fan, he and Terrance Edwards were two guys worth watching on the terrible Bombers of 2009-2010 and his big game against the Lions is one of my top ten favorite bomber games. I think if Chris Garrett hadn't have torn his Achilles, he would've been a great CFL running back. That dude looked complete to me -- power, speed, and moves.
  11. I own several monthly issues, most of them are Year in Review issues (I'm a sucker for History, I used to collect People Magazine's YiR issues until 2015 because everything went downhill from there and I didn't want to remember what a crap year 2016 was) I'm interested to see where things go from there, that book store that was attacked to Portage Place (I think it's closed now) had the final monthly issue (before the magazine's brief reboot in the mid 2000s) I just wish we had a photographer like Eisenstaedt these days he practically made that magazine https://deadline.com/2024/03/karlie-kloss-life-magazine-relaunch-bedford-media-1235870602/
  12. 5.1 40 for a 320 plus pound guard is actually good. It’s about 90th percentile in the nfl. The average nfl guard runs almost a 5.4 while weighing 314. 7 guards were faster this year at the nfl combine and not insanely. In the range of a tenth of a second. I find it interesting that we are looking at an imp who likely only projects as a guard.

  14. When we officially get there (and I am on record saying it will happen! - just won’t say when, lol) I will be sure to announce it.
  15. Yes thanks but sorry as a lifelong Jet fan until I read clinched a playoff spot never comfortable.
  16. We have not clinched yet. Based on our current points total and the projected points that St. Louis will collect by season’s end (estimated by using their current winning percentage over a full season) we have likely accrued enough points already to get in, but it is not official yet. So far, only the NY Rangers have officially clinched a playoff spot.
  17. I didn’t realize we have been guaranteed a spot in the playoffs? I thought we are still working on a magic number needed?
  18. Just finished The Gentlemen TV series on Netflix. Never saw the movie, but if you are a fan of Guy Ritchie this one will scratch an itch.
  19. Finally got around to watching Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem with the family. It was a lot of fun!
  20. Keith Khalil SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS Outstanding on reach blocks, showing good initial quickness and flexibility to seal the backside. He’s a heady player who is quick to recognize and react to twists and stunts up front, and Keith shows a good sense of timing on combo blocks. Dips shoulder and moves his feet to get outside leverage when needed. Strong and low coming out of his stance, effective in short-yardage situations. Fires off the snap quickly, and he shows the flexibility to get out and seal on reach blocks. He’s at his best, however, in the phone booth. In the run game, he plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Keith can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space. Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move. Fires out of his stance with a good pad level, consistently winning at the point of attack. SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES Tends to slip off blocks when going against bigger linemen, and Keith too often finishes plays on the ground. Drops his head too often on contact, which causes problems against swim moves. He's athletic and a pure left tackle whose high-hipped frame and waist bending might be exposed against pro rushers
