  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah not really a fan of keeping so many guys at practice if you're goal is to eventually get ready to play real games in like 2 weeks. Either have some guys getting so few reps it's pointless or you're splitting reps so much you're prepping really no one to play. Need to be able to evaluate by now to get down to 3-4 guys in all the position battles.
  3. I believe @Mikesaid barriere had been on the neg list for some time so I’d imagine he might stick around. Be silly to cut him after 1 appearance when he’s been on the neg list for years.
  4. No offense but who cares about what Mullinder says??? He gets paid to pump the Riders & he does it. I just wish we had a choice of what broadcast team to listen to. Of course, anyone could have turned the sound down on your device & put CJOB on. If they cut Pigrome after that one game he played then Barriere's days here are counting down fast.
  5. they could be yeah...or they could be a role guy too....fact of the matter use of it is only gonna benefit your overall roster...any discussion that it wouldnt....is just nit picking and arguing for the sake of just that...arguing... some people can read....and decipher....kudos bro....
  6. Poor assesment and scouting, and not digging in and looking at...everything...I re-watched a bit more this aft...He looked totally like a guy who been in league already...was actually shocked, as figured he's need a good season to acclimate...maybe not...he's massive, and not in a sloppy way, and moves well which aids in his aggressive play....we stole the best Oline guy in draft yup....doesnt pay to read clippings and assesments not of yhour own....also he could have had poor coaching and never been mandated to work on technique.....but he definately looked game ready as a very good 6th at the least...and a jumbo package mauler....Imagine Eli..Dobson and Neuf on short yardgae with Wally squeezoing Bryant inside and collapsing the edge?....god lord

  8. Ok lurker coming out of the bushes for the year here…. The players all describe O’Shea as being “a players coach.” He’s loyal to his players, even if it’s sometimes to a fault. They’re not seen as just a number to switch in and out of the lineup every week like some teams. And then how many guys do we see take a pay cut to stay in Winnipeg? Loyalty breeds loyalty.
  9. Today
  10. I wondered the same thing. Not one rookie that has played his way off the roster? It's a very curious loophole in roster management.
  11. 100% baffled too. The knock on him was he was raw and needed a good bit of polish, and a lot of his fall was based on weight/speed combination. Im sure Marty has done a good bit of work with him. But for progress that fast he probably has really focused on being more sound due to excel at this level. He could get by with ease on size and athleticism in college. Some times increased competition is what a guy needs to hit the next level and some times that happens fast. In One of the interviews with him here, he was asked about weight. He said the bombers didnt mention his weights at all. They clearly weren’t concerned with his speed. He said he’s cut down on his own but isn’t going crazy with it. He’s just eating a bit better. Hence the being down about 9-10lbs. I think at 315 ish he’d have elite speed for an interior ol.
  12. And there's a flag on the play..... wait.... wait... we are being told its just a towel.
  13. They seriously couldn't find anyone to release?
  14. Injured olineman Kendall Randolph had be re-added to the roster. The Bombers transferred Castillo to the suspended list to make room for him.
  15. 344 is definitely on the high end for the CFL. I think he'll end up playing at 335 but he sure looks like a pro to me already. He started in both guard and both tackle spots at University of Buffalo. That says to me that he can pick things up pretty quickly. With his size and strength and the fact that he is in camp with the Bombers in year one, I'm baffled as to how he dropped to 17th overall. He started almost 40 games at a Div 1 FBS school. I don't want to get too excited but this is looking like a total steal of a pick.
  16. He was 344 at the combine. it is for the cfl. Neufeld is 310 and 6’6.
  17. Is pigrome even playing football? Didn’t Ottawa release him a long time ago? That ship has obviously sailed.
  18. I think what @Booch may be trying to argue is that MOS is slow/reluctant to allow younger americans to get on the roster/get a shot over american vets who have been here for awhile or who may need to be replaced. Yes, some 1st years have started but its been in cases of open competition to replace guys. Schoen when we had an open receiving spot and he won the competition Alford and Nichols when we had two open spots because Sayles and Rose had both left for the NFL. Strevy because Matty was hurt.
  19. I think you're talking in circles here, man. Of course they earned their spots. There are always circumstances which dictate when guys are given their first opportunities.
  20. Watching the rest of the game. I'd like to see Barriere get one quarter... not sure if it's going to happen though. Late in the 2nd half he looked "better" and overall it was a bad showing but he didn't look completely useless like a Boltus or a Brink from back in the day. I think it was a lot of just bad nerves. Wilson looked far more ready after he settled down and from what I saw we need not Pigromes or someone else air lifted to the city asap. Lots of fast moving guys on D, I'm very anxious/excited to see who they keep and if any of these guys can be the next all star to play for the team for a few seasons.
  21. The Americans you're using would've been on the roster and starting regardless.
  22. It was hard to tell, both defensive halfbacks looked to be in the area. I think Bane lined up as the closet slot on the boundary side.
  23. I don't think Wallace was 344, when drafted. You also have to remember he's 6'5, so 330lbs isn't a bad weight.
  24. Tell us how you really feel about Mullinder? 🙂
  25. pretty bang on assesment....that was putrid all around back to the game....has to be less than encouraging watching that as a Rider Coach/Management and realizing....wow...we have a ton of work to do
