  2. according to the Bombers site... the only DL at 6'7 is Willie... unless there are some guys not listed yet... are you reinventing the wheel... or just making the three LB positions the way they were 15 years ago? I hate to be a stickler... but this is clearly a top 7 😉 I'll go: Stan, Biggie, Collaros, Harris, Yoshi... had to make a few tough decisions to follow the rules (Jeffcoat and Willie, for example)...

  10. I know you mentioned Ottawa but didn't really get into details... they had a really nice FA period adding Allen, Reavis, Eberhardt... but their biggest addition was getting Dinwiddie

  12. Didn't he already sign in Hamilton right after his Toronto release
  13. One qb still out there , with a lot of CFL background is MBT........He can throw fairly accurately but the rest of his game has big question marks....I think we'd have to be in desperate mode to bring him in....soooo hope we find something in tc that'll work
  14. Our Man Tait's latest 1st and 10 column gave the impression that the Bombers are unlikely to approach any of the veteran back ups that are out there. Likely to let all of the recent signings duke it out in camp and see who emerges. The only issue I see with that is, there are only so many reps, so how can you really tell who's standing out?
  15. Today
  16. I think we definitely won the early going in FA.....The one spot that has great implications going forward is at qb......Maybe one of the recent pivot signings, surprises the hell out of us in tc ...Other than that, Elgersma might show up and prove he's the second coming of Rourke or better...A lot of question marks for sure ....however our early signings certainly must have caught the eye few potential qbs. who see us as definite contenders....Will we see a resurgence comparable to the New England Pats????...contender to pretender and back to relevance....Time will tell but so far I like what I'm seeing
  17. This might have been the most Habs fan heavy crowd since the 80s. Back then CBC French would show the Habs at 7 on.a Saturday night instead of the Jets(who rarely played Sat. for some reason) so I can kinda understand why that was plus before the xpansion in 67 you either were a TOR or MTL fan in this city. 45+ years later, most of the original 6 fans are dead or in a home so I wonder why we’re there so many fans at the game. I have a theory. It’s cheaper to fly to WPG, rent a room and get game tickets then it is to buy tickets in TOR or MTL 😆
  18. I just assumed everyone knew about that. It's the only way to go... Thankful for it!
  19. I remember attending a Jets 1.0 home game against the Habs and I was running late and as I entered the arena outside of ice site, the crowd erupted so i thought alright Jets scored but nope as i entered my entrance to my seats 1-0 Habs.
  20. Mine was a huge Maple Leafs fan. He had buddies that he'd phone with after checking scores in the paper - similar to this forum, actually. It would've been in the 30s, 40s & 50s.
  21. What bonus? He wouldn't have any bonus until he signed a new contract. That doesn't happen until he is either released or he reaches FA. Team never put in an after the season roster bonus in the final year of a contract. The only time we see the roster bonuses are on the first years of a multi-year deal and most are timed for about the middle of January. It would be epically stupid if 3-4 days before FA, Ceresna had a bonus due on an expiring contract. If that were the case no team would have offered him anything until that bonus was paid. But like I said, there is almost zero chance that Ceresna had not cashed in on every dollar of his expiring contract prior to the window.
  22. Does transferring his rights transfer his bonus?
  23. The neg window is set up that if a team and a player come to an agreement they register that agreement with the league, the team is obligated to follow through at that point if the player does not re-sign with his current team who has a 48 hour exclusive window to try re-sign the player if they so choose. The GMs MUST honor any deal negotiated in the window and filed with the league. As I understand it, and I may not be interpeting it correctly, The player is not obligated to sign any deal and can go to FA if they so desire. They must however inform the league that they no longer intend to sign the deal negotiated and they cannot talk to any other teams until the opening of FA.
  24. Maybe but sounded like Kyle didn’t wanna go any higher. But I’m never going back the past is in the past.
  25. And I say hey what a wonderful kind of day we can learn to laugh and play and get along with each other.
  26. Winners = Winnipeg and Ottawa (both improved areas of need ) bombers got the best OL and DL available. They also improved cdn depth slightly by signing Nield (more than slightly) and grabbed a realiable veteran cornerback. The only question mark with the bombers Is backup qb but options appear limited. Bombers signed all their important free agents and every one is well minus Kyrie Wilson but if the worst move is signing Kyrie who is a solid veteran leader to a 1 year deal. Then yeah bombers are winners Losers = Hamilton and Saskatchewan ( they lost the most players) maybe Toronto also as losing RD and McManiss is 2 huge losses. The rest id keep in the neutral to stayed the same category.
  27. I’m here without you baby, you’re still on my lonely mind I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time. RIP Brad Arnold.
  28. Plus Montreal is an iconic original 6 franchise. My grandfather was a huge Canadians fan. Huge.
  29. He’s gonna eat ‘em raw this season cuz he’s a tiger cat.
  30. That blue dot thing does the trick. I'll be using that.
  31. I see. I’ll take a look. An alternative is clicking the blue dot for a thread that has unread posts. It will take you directly to your first unread post. I use this all the time, I only see the first post on new threads.
  32. He's signing somewhere, just not Toronto.
  33. When I open a thread I need to scroll past the 1st posting to click to advance to the last page. Not a big deal, and I am not sure if that can be changed since the threads' titles are a part of the 1st post of each thread.
  34. Rest In Peace, Brad Arnold. To die so young. Very tragic. Eff cancer.
