  3. we a vet team as it is so his "vet leadership" is neither here nor there.....he should be looked at by coaching staff in the light of, what does he offer us right now, and next yr.....and can that same minimal contribution be replaced with a younger player...one with upside...or possible upside and at a lesser cost....especially with how we construct our ratio in that a National DT isn't really a need...and this should have been done 2...3 yrs ago already It's not a knock on Jake as a guy....moreso Jake the player now...this is pro sports and thats the nature of the beast...It's not charity
  4. Don't care about the NHL. Only the hard cores here will watch & discuss.
  5. Jones was just an awful individual when it came to a lot of things but let's face it, you reward loyalty if you can still play effectively. You don't create loyalty by playing guys who can't do the things they used to do as well anymore just because of longevity. What does that do for the morale of the younger guys forced to sit it out on the sidelines while an aging & fading veteran still gets the majority of playing time? Where the loyalty there? Where the development? Where's the continuity of replacements when it's time? Lots of frustration from the younger players & that could explain why we can't seem to keep our guys for their second contract. Wally never did this. Neither did Huff. Don Matthews from all accounts was a great coach to play for. The veterans loved him but if individual performances of some of those veterans began to slide, those players were gone. That's how it should be. Someone like Jake Thomas should be told it's time to go. Give Jake a nice send off during the season but otherwise sayonara, goodbye.
  6. You have to wonder just WTH the Bombers are thinking. Pressure helps the back end. If you already have a talented defensive backfield hen hurrying passes from opposition qbs just eats offenses up. He had company last year.
  7. That's what happens when the football season is moved up 2-3 weeks & training camps start mid May. We have the SC playoffs going on in Canada. Everyone is paying attention to that. Especially media. Camps should be starting now with the pre season in June & season openers July 1st.

  10. I mean we can at least put this out into the universe! #DareToDream #AvailableToWork
  11. I hope Ed is at least paying you to be his hype man
  12. i plan to go a bunch by end of month....so you all will have to get my take haha...O've actually been useasonably busy this yr so havnt hung out most of camp like yr prior He doing o.k...But he also in the "employee of" so has his talking points I am sure he is fed He tends to also go along and support whatever Osh feelings on things are too....so there is also that aspect.. yeah....agreed....he toes the line...gives a few more words on what is said in coach/player interviews From exerience at camp...and practices during the yr the local reporters for most part aren't watching anything other than when they hear some whooping or hollerin from players on a nice play....and if they were watchig have no idea of even what they are...or need to watch to see who is actually legit...Thats why it's nice to have forum people there who take an interest in the players...especially new ones to see how they doing...and also can see first hand how some the vets are coddled and gifted spots over guys who worked thier asses off...and are actually better...but not a fav vet
  13. I love ET's work but his reports aren't what I want to see. Like his day 10 write-up, for example, was 95% about Schoen getting healthy, 3% about Willie and Adams acting crazy on ST drills & 2% about Lofton coming back in & a handful of guys sitting out. There was nothing about who's standing out, who had a rough go, who's practicing with who, that sort of thing. Like did absolutely nothing happen that day? To me, that's a not a TC report, despite the name of the article. Blue Bombers Training Camp Report | Day 10 - Winnipeg Blue Bombers
  14. I had a Doug Brown Bobblehead probably from around 2007-2009. Recently moved and it broke during the move. Tried looking on line but had no success just checking if anyone on here would have and willing to sell,
  15. I know I'm an unabashed fanboi, but I feel like Ed's actually been doing even more than usual this year. He's not only doing daily reports but also has weekly wrap ups with "Who Stood Out" and he's even been doing a podcast on YouTube with his take on things so far. So while I can't speak for the other outlets, Our Man Tait has been putting in a concerted effort to really cover it as well as he can.
  16. Hi yeah, I own 3 of them. One is bloomin onion/poutine Mini donuts/lemonade Deep fried: cheese curds, corndogs, cheese cake, oreos, chocolate bars, basically anything you can deep fry I've considered a lot going to the states. My spouse is a nurse. I travel all of western Canada from june-end of September. If I left her for an additional 3 months she'd skin me lol
  17. I'd settle for some unfounded hype right about now. 48 hours out from the 1st pre-season game and I've heard very little about camp. Other than Tait's "Training Camp Reports" (which don't really report all that much), there's been next to nothing. Feels worse than usual but maybe it's just me?
  18. Well so do I, the business attached to it Asia City has some good stuff too I had their shake fries yesterday, and regarding the Rice Dogs I recommend Whole Mozzarella as for the other stuff I'd add Gamsung (potato) around them because it will feel like an order of a Hot Dog with fries...even though fries are on the menu there
  19. I think so, I've never been but my co workers have all enjoyed it and recommended it. Do you have a food truck? I had met a guy back in the day who would do all the festivals/carnivals in Manitoba during the Summer and then would drive around the State fairs and whatever in the warmer States during Winter and he would make a killing. It was a fry truck with I think hot dogs and he lived in a mansion and had lots of big toys.
  20. 3 receivers who basically just had to stand there.... yeah that sucked.
  21. you mean ChungChuns?
  22. Talking mainly about the hype machine. Around here we tend to hear a lot about some guys and bupkus about others because someone went to camp one day....lol
  23. Not quite true. Wilson was getting a lot of reps with the 1st team offense early in main camp last year so there was some talk. He was also listed as one of our neg listers in Sep 2023 and then signed to a futures contract a month later so he was already on the radar prior to last year. The problem is that we don't hear a whole lot about camp in general anymore - doesn't matter if it's an established vet or a rookie.
  24. We didn't hear a whole bunch about Ontaria Wilson last year either. Most ppl here were kind of who is that after he made the cut last year. I don't remember hearing a lot about Dalton Schoen until the last half of camp in his rookie year either.
  25. TSN only showing East games in PS. We've got half decent weather finally in central AB, so I'm actually looking forward to sitting in the yard with a drink and listening to OB all afternoon. Gonna be a good day...
  26. It was good for the first pre-season game, I think they tied the audio to the Lions radio network but not entirely sure. Nope.
  27. isn't this weekends game one of the two that TSN is showing?
  28. Yeah. Pretty much seconded my thought process. I'll take a long ponder at it and If the right situation came around, maybe. I just want to work in the winters. I'm restless and want to start another venture
