I certainly hope they get rid of the coaches cap. It was a dumb idea to begin with. However, I have a feeling the “major announcement” will be much more than that issue.

I would be fine with almost all of these changes. Although when you change a bunch of things at once it is always hard to tell which ones are working.

I honestly don’t know why you think that they’d be holding a press conference on a Monday morning to announce replay changes. This is obviously a much bigger deal than you’re making it out to be.

Then again normally when ppl announce significant changes it’s not with 5 games left so if it’s immediately implemented then it’s 100 percent replay related. It’s something to do with replay or roughing the passer penalties cuz honestly you can change rules all you want but a significant change is protecting the starting QBs cuz nobody paying to see backups play. Thats a league wide problem and would make sense. Or AI reffing.

Personally I think revenue is unique to each market. There isn’t anything they can do to all of a sudden make 30000 ppl go to game’s in toronto. Same with Calgary and whoever else not Winnipeg or Saskatchewan rules? There’s 5 or 6 games left. Field size? That is more work than people think and would cost money. 1 division actually might make the most sense here. Or it’s a merger but that ain’t gonna go well. I think going American when ppl dislike everything American right now would be the beginning of the end here. Read the room guys. We avoiding the USA. We don’t want to be them currently also what works here may not work elsewhere. Wade has created a social like environment centered around a football game cuz the soccer team ain’t drawing ****. Meanwhile in Toronto the soccer team draws but the cfl team don’t. We need a person who lives in torontos perspective to fix that mess.

They're messing with a game that needs mo messing with. They need to do things to make the game better by getting rid of the coachss cap. Marketing needs to be better on a ntional level. Those 2 areas need addressing. Not moving the goal posts to the backof the end zone. So, I agree. For a league that wants to up the scoring if they do that, it'll kill it. Why do I think the boys & girls from Genius Sport are behind this?

It's going to be something dumb like... end zones reduced to 15 yards, uprights moved to back of the end zone and no rouges on balls that go out of the end of the end zone. 15 yard end zones still keeps them unique. Uprights at the back of the end zone means teams that were kicking from 45 yards have to make it to the 30. No rouges out the back of the end zone gets rid of the weird bitching about missing field goals for the win. End zones 140 yards apart might make it easier logistically for shared stadiums with Soccer or to attract sideshow NFL games for... whatever reason.

Thanks it was ugly but I'll take it. Ottawa stadium is actually pretty nice. It's weird having two totally different sides but they make it work. I bought tickets on the old side and it's definitely showing it's age but there were a bunch of empty seats behind the Bombers bench so we just moved there. I also really like the surrounding Lansdowne area. There is a huge pedestrian area with a bunch of different restaurants right outside the stadium. You can walk out the gates and sit down in a restaurant within 30 seconds. The Bombers stadium is really missing a surrounding area like that. You can tell Ottawa has a good core fanbase. It's too bad they don't sell more tickets because they've got a pretty good thing going there.

ZC can arguably be still called elite...and for most part looks like a 2nd yr starter.. forcing stuff from poor schemes...basically looked like crap So if a successful savy vet looks this bad...its the system and lesser extent the players he forced to play with...that's facts Can you see a formation...blocking scheme and detect what the primary..even secondary option is...and or when its deviated from...and what certain pre snap motion is trying to detect outta the defence...and when what the reaction by defence basically tells you that at times a certain call is doomed from the start? I do not know how you can pass an accurate judgement on any quarterback when there are all these problems on both offence and defence as well as coaching and recruitment. Streveler looks pathetic and there is a good argument to be made that he is done and that can be said of Collaros as well. We have a few really good pieces to this team but propose that we are past the tune-up point and that the deterioration is so widespread and profound that we need to do what the Stamps did. Tear it down and rebuild.

was he one of the people who said it was a done deal with the xfl too? It’s honestly been too long. Mid season announcement, I expect any changes put in place to kick in next year. this could be the last grey cup under proper rules if people are right. I sure hope not.
