Scraping out a win just validates Osh and his ineptness...and we will continue on like the last 3 yrs and be exposed again in playoffs...if we actually get there but if we lose again tonight...or next week...basically gonna have to run the table to get first place as CGy has tie breaker on us...and right now sask looks like they will whip us And I not counting on Adams to fold up like a cheap tent in Cgy...B.C under the old regime maybe...we will be struggling to get 3rd this yr
-
It seems ridiculous to describe a game this early in the season as pivotal, but it sure as spit seems to be. If Bombers win, they will have gained a reprieve. If they lose to a wounded opponent, the team is essentially in freefall. Scraping out a win will do little to silence the critics.

I think we have 6
-
Riders having a good start to the season just like last year. They have a good D there tho. We don’t have 8 team sacks probably all year. They got 8 last night.
-
Outside the Calgary series, we are 3 and 0. Have the season series against BC already. I mean yeah the last 2 weeks are concerning but we’ve seen VA especially start very strong many years and ultimately fail. So maybe losing to Calgary shouldn’t have been a surprise. Perhaps how we lost was but O’Shea ain’t changing things at 3 wins and 2 losses. Ppl always say the season stars around Labour Day. I think I’d rather be peaking later in the year than July tho. Just saying. We actually have the best red zone O in the league. We just don’t get there as often as other teams tho. D problem the last 2 but generally the D is our strength. Certainly was last year. Only difference on D is no BA and no bighill and no ford at corner. Thomas starting isn’t new I don’t think so the D minus BA and AB got this bad? I doubt it cuz they were good the first 2. Didn’t look great against ford and Edmonton tho either.

And just perusing that chart again...our receiving crew is butt ugly...and all we have is Corcoran of all players as backup...BO better be going off game in and game out if that's what we roll with...and if he gets hurt...good lord we are screwed We i think screwed anyway as Osh still thinks things are fine

Streaks come to an end so it's time the Bombers streak ends loosing to the Argos.

GDT- Bombers @ Toronto
Super Duper Negatron replied to JohnnyAbonny's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I said this was the first away Bomber game for me but I completely forgot seeing them get stomped in the rain on Labour Day years ago. Blocked that one out of my memory. Let's hope this one goes better! -
It just blows me away that they can get curb stomped like the 2 calgary games, including coming off a bye where historically this team has done tremendously well, and make absolutely no changes...
-
Feels more like lowered expectations. We’ve been rocked back to back and have made essentially no roster changes. We are less healthy than the first Calgary game too.
-
13 month wait (this is for Coyotes vs ACME) and it better be worth getting angry over it getting shelved
-
Today, we should just run the snot out of the ball. Argos D is very effective bringing pressure but they are 7th in defending against the run - average of 118 yards per game given up on the ground. Let's mix it up and give the rock generously to Brady, Chris-Ike, Strev, Demski = Victory. Go Blue!
-
Kick coverage has been really strong.... and I mean i guess it should be since they built that area at the expense of the defence.
-
K, I agree to a certain point. And now, in the spirit of this is what’s fun about fandom… debating the details 😁, I offer the following quibbles: Holm has been good but our secondary has been atrocious the last two games; Demski has been fantastic among a receiver group that is overall meh; Wheatfall would appear to be a decent deep threat, but is likely hamstrung by a weak supporting cast, porous O line, and a QB’s ever degrading escapability and arm strength/accuracy. Hard to know, then, how much these realities have impacted Keric’s overall effectiveness but I would submit that, to this point, if he is our best deep threat our strength in this area pales in comparison to the serious contenders.
-
True! But more like average inside 45. And arguably a bit weaker than average on the 1 pt convert. 😞 sorry!
-
This is a must win
-
Sergio is excellent from 50+
-
Trying to answer that question is kind of depressing. ..Holm has been playing relatively well. Demski is having a good year, though shouldn’t be the 1 option. Wheatfall is a good deep threat…Honestly that’s about it.

Hate to be a deepsix downer and hope I’m wrong but I foresee loss #3 tonight to 1-6 Argos. I mean, other than Brady, where are we strong?
-
Sounds like a good game plan. I believe we can win this one if we just don't screw up too many times. That is the great unknown IMHO - how many times will we screw up? But at end of day even a small victory would be greatly appreciated. I will take a field goal at the end to win it for us!

Bombers at Argos early chat
SectionKBlackout replied to WinnipegGordo's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Honestly after 2023 we should have made some hard decisions and focused on this year and hosting the Grey Cup. I get it would be hard moving on from some guys, but we let a young stud QB go, and kept guys like Bighill, etc around longer. It should have been the time to cut the cord then. -
Hopefully we are not the elixir that the Argos need to get rolling...but the other way around...a loss here...and oh boy...there's something wrong with something
-
Wait! What are you saying??? There is no Santa Claus????? 😁 But in all honesty I can not help but agree. We shall see what evolves today facing a poor Toronto team.
