  2. Teams that lose them due to poor rostering...repeatedly....thats who....and good teams always look to add to roster...continually get better...and add pieces where they may already have guys...who aren't as good....again...that's who we should be in his ear now....guy is a baller and will be 2 yrs removed now from his injury...so should be the in back to impact form...27...in his prime....versatile....a no bainer
  3. https://3downnation.com/2025/12/22/b-c-lions-release-pending-free-agent-lb-josh-woods/ This should we pursue.
  4. Yeah, I get it. Am i happy? No, I make no bones about it. There's stuff that goes on (especially last year) that I didnt like. I've never been an "In The Canadian Mafia We Trust" kinda guy. Like a cvertain someone is. Expect more of it until I'm convinced the three in charge turn things around. BTW, I generally take as good as I get. And guess what? I hope I'm wrong. (I'm acvtually a little bit excited about our chances with the moves made. jake to me is meh... But the others, right on. Now, if we have a big free agency, we might be back to taking on the Riders & win the West. So, yeah, I'm kinda thinking we may have a chance. We'll see. BTW, as to my negativity... Do you ever see me criticizing Zach Collaros? Do I ever say he's washed up like I constantly read on this forum, ad nauseum??? Nope, I still believe in the guy despite the noise created by you & all the other posters that don't. I happen to think he has one more run left in him & I hope he shows up all the nay sayers on this board. Like Trevor Harris did.
  5. to be honest I hadn't heard of him either (that's why I didn't post it)
  6. Think everything we need to know about Hogan came from Lapo on a broadcast when he said something along the lines of "that's a whiskey bottle play call.... because if it doesn't work everyone in the stands is going to throw a whiskey bottle at you"
  7. You're also incredibly negative around the whole year. Yeah it was a bad year and a real downer but their record was pretty much where they were.
  8. Hogan threw his players under the bus a couple of times. A coach needs to fall on his sword for his guys. Not blame them for losing.
  9. We won some games we had no business winning. There was more of that than the team losing games they should have won. The whole year was a downer.from watching Dobson & Lawler walk, the lack of free agent signings to the putt putt putt offense we had. I've never seen a more uninspired 10-8 team as there was last season.
  10. The Jets are absolutely not going anywhere... That's patently absurd. A tank and rebuild could absolutely be lived through no problem.
  11. Sorry to hear but just why don't I care? Can't you stick to people we know? I've never heard of this guy before. This has become a name dropper thread.
  12. We'll never know then true story & there's no one in the media wanting to find out.
  13. When the fans turn away from the team there's always a danger that the owners may say they can get a better deal elsewhere.
  14. Today
  15. No I'm not arguing that either. If you overpay players, you're gonna pay for it, either by not being able to afford better players in FA or by going over the cap.
  16. There's got to be more to the story of how last year work out in regard to hiring the OC.
  17. Stick to your day job that was terrible
  18. How often do teams that played in the Grey Cup go on major spending sprees in fa the following offseason?
  19. Guy is more respected than you are.
  20. Sorry for disliking suckage...this is the only place in my varied career where less than adequate is tolerated and the norm Jake was halfway serviceable maybe 5..6 yrs ago but even then he was bottom teir..we had a decade to upgrade the roster spot...chose not to....not how I roll that's fir sure
  21. Yesterday
  22. They just don’t go over enough to lose draft picks. The salary cap stuff is wild tho cuz nobody on here really has a clue about it. We don’t telly know how much is promo money and other money anymore. Things have changed. Unlimited promo money now really. Bombers making big money. They ain’t saving it all.
  23. He won’t tho since the other owner of the jets is the richest owner in the nhl. Chipman and Thompson are committed to Winnipeg and the downtown hence all the upcoming developments around the area. I mean really.
  24. We exceeded the salary cap in 2 of the last 3 seasons so we are spending the cash.
  25. I think we're missing a positive, Jake will no longer be getting a huge number of reps on the Dline. This means more reps for Lawson and hopefully we actually use Smith and Shay on D to take some of those reps that went to guys like Jake.
  26. Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver also have a million times better night life and city vibe. Some players want to do more then just sitting in a hotel room.
  27. Can someone break down free agents and re-signing of vets for each team and how Winnipeg on average has spend more then others. Because EVERY year on free agency on these boards people go bananas when they see Edmonton spending $50 k more for a guy like Ford, how Hamilton over paid for Lawler, how every other team blowed a tonne of money on over the hill guys.... It's a myth that Winnipeg pays more then others, if anything we are known to be a "cheap" team who isn't dropping the coin that other teams have.
  28. We tank & we're a good one foot & a quarter more through the door that leaves Winnipeg. We can't survive with crowds of 12 & 13000 just like the old Jets couldn't. Chipman can sell this team for over a billion dollars to some American outfit to move it to an American city with 4 times the population. Just watch what happens if we tank.
