  3. Dude just turned 24. He was drafted less than a year ago.

  5. If he doesn't get another NFL camp invite, he should be here for camp. He got a lot of workouts and no offers. It's hard to say if that's a good thing for camp, but it sure seems like a bad thing for him since he doesn't have one currently. If he doesn't have a plan to be here for camp and doesn't have an NFL camp invite, I'd be shopping his rights hard. If he gets another NFL offer, I'd be shopping his rights soft and be looking to flip him as soon as he was willing to come up mid-season. Mid-season QB drought is real. Having a guy like him is an asset to a desperate team. I'm not losing my mind over his lingering down south. The amount of time he's spent out of football and off the field, the time it's been since he played a regular-season game, all of this reduces his value to me. You expect a Canadian QB who played CIS ball to be up here fairly quickly if you draft him. Choosing to sit out for workouts, a UFL non-roster spot, and NFL combine cup holder raises red flags about his intangibles. And he needs to be a high-intangible guy to succeed. He's a depreciating asset hiding behind some smoke and mirrors. The whole thing hasn't come apart, but it isn't far from happening. It is far more concerning to me that we gambled a 2nd on this guy and didn't seem to have a hot clue about this.

  9. From everything I've read, the talent in this draft is very deep, but almost TOO deep in so much as the GMs have their work cut out for them trying to figure out who will actually ever play in Canada... Sounds like a lot of guys will end up down south for at least some time.
  10. Training camp comes and he is still not here, then i write him off, till then who cares? He is doing this on his own dime.
  11. The visa ain't coming .....and neither Is Elgersma, at least here, up till this point in time....The kid is floating in limbo that could last for a long time...Hardly a way to take care of your future
  12. Hopefully we draft guys who project as starters or at worse rotational players and stop picking guys solely for their st prowess.
  13. and doing it all for free lol
  14. yep. I wonder if the team knows that. He's getting some thing now atleast for development. Not just sitting on a couch waiting for a call and doing the odd work out.

  16. Yep, this drought has been worse than the post season one. One of the few things you can count on in the cfl is draft is teams rushing to pick OL. Once the first one goes, we will see a run. And we will see teams reach to get them. Top end of this ol draft is pretty strong.
  17. combo of all 3 me thinks...but he has gotten some bad guidance since the 2025 CFL/NFL season ended...Dude in all reality has had no real significant play time since his last University season...and his one NFL camp and the position on depth chart he was at...got no real developing there either...and his couple workouts after that again amount to nothing...Likely was about 20 mins of showing of/how he can make the common throws in the NFL game and what kind of ball he threw...He could have got more useful work playing flag football in a beer league up here
  18. I think we all agree these mocks are usually terribly inaccurate... but I'll take this and even Hodge's mocks.... because, at the very least, it does provide some insight into the prospects at this years' draft... also, agree that any content is good content at this time of year...
  19. The visa ain’t coming.
  20. At this point he’s either delusional or getting the worst career advice possible. I’m guessing UFL also don’t make enough $$$ for him to get his visa otherwise it be done by now. Even god is like dude go home to Canada.
  21. sauteing and marinating nicely eh?....doofus
  22. Yup. No doubt Chevy prob would win in a cup with a team in the south. There are tons of restrictions. Thing is tho when guys do get here they want to stay and the guys who don’t? Doesn’t really work out for them with their new team either so you gotta find a way to get them here cuz for the most part they stay when they do. Seems like we popular with Guys who Like the fishing and hunting and outdoors stuff. Surely there’s more in the league. Restrictions are real for Winnipeg and all of Canada and even buffalo as parayko refused to waive to go there and they are finally good. Be much better league if they didn’t exist. Only sport who has them. NHL is weird tho cuz nobody wanted to go to Florida when they sucked. Phoenix is nice. They sucked also. Just yup. I dunno. Weird league at times.
  23. Here’s an update on the future bombers star QB who has gotten no real reps in 2 years almost now 3DownNationCanadian QB Taylor Elgersma inactive again for UFL's Birm...Taylor Elgersma will not make his UFL debut with the Birmingham Stallions on Sunday as he's officially been listed as inactive against the Houston Gamblers. AccHmm UFL attendance ?? 2025/2026 Trends St. Louis continues to lead, drawing over 30,000 to the Dome. The 2025 season saw an overall average dip to approximately 12,000–15,876, reflecting a 5% drop from the previous year.
  24. Islanders fire Roy. Replace with Maurice’s pal De Boer. Isles currently out of playoffs but 1 point back of Philly for 3rd in the weak east.
  25. Also it’s interesting what happens when you eliminate loser points. LA has 19 Of them. That’s insane. We have 12 but still, 19 is insane. OTL. Yup Take that away and LA is eliminated and Vegas with their 16 OTL points are fighting in the wild card. Crazy. Nashville kinda on a roll tho so gonna be hard to catch. Gotta win out.
  26. Also 3 American OL likely means Wallace isn’t starting unless he’s at center which seems unlikely cuz you know Neufeld will be at 1 guard spot and if not Neufeld is a solid versatile vet. Good 6th OL really. Is Wallace worth keeping as 7th OL Or 6th? Or does he have more value in a trade. He not start? He’s out of here. I’d look at trading Tony or Kyrie also. Just because perhaps you get better value there.
  27. I recommend travelling, I've met many many people in Winnipeg who have never visited anywhere and are completely oblivious at what the world is like elsewhere. I can't remember who was #2 or #3 on the least desired places to play, but I'd imagine Edmonton would be near those numbers. -30 winters, absolutely zero night life, Canadian dollar, higher taxes, the worst "outdoors scenery" as in it's boring and flat, worst amenities for richer people, country bumpkin atmosphere, below average places/entertainment for families.... why in the world would a 25 - 30 year old single guy with money and/or guy with a young family want to pick Winnipeg vs 30 other options that offer far more. But in your opinion one single poster on a forum who speaks nothing but the truth is the reason why a free agent would decline signing with the Jets. Not to mention for years it has been reported that lots of players have Winnipeg on the no trade list for destinations. Chevy has a huge disadvantage compared to most other GM's when it comes to bringing in players to the team. To put your head in the sand and say it's the poor attitude of someone like me is a huge case of loser denial. Unfortunately the truth hurts. Chevy takes what he can get... if Chevy as the GM of Florida, Vegas, Utah etc... he'd have a much easier time constructing a team.

  30. 55 should be in mvp conversations if jets get in. No joke. Dudes been beast mode day 1 and hasn’t stopped. How he didn’t make team Canada is truly beyond me.
  31. You think the downtown isn’t the same in most places? Think dudes just chilling downtown here walking down the streets lol. Honestly. You know it’s funny a few years ago I saw Carey price actually giving money to someone. An indigenous lady beside the arena. I don’t think it’s a problem for them. The visitors are here for less than a day. They know the spots to go. It’s not the first time they been here. Is the airport to downtown hotel thing a problem? Yeah it is but I’m pretty sure meth heads and homeless ppl exist everywhere so yeah. Thats not why they don’t come here. I’ll give you a hint…. Minus 35. If Connor McDavid wasn’t in Edmonton nobody would sign there either. Canada is on the no trade lists really.
  32. I mean. Why. He’s a good coach actually. I mean dude coaches team USA a few years ago. I don’t have issues with torts. He’s refreshing. Vegas tho is a **** show. He’s politically incorrect and the world needs more of that. Guys like Blake wheeler said he loved playing for torts when he coached team USA so who knows. I think he just expects players to work hard and if they don’t he’s pissed. His issue is more media than anything. The media ask dumb questions. Him and Friesen would be fun in reality. He’d put old Paul in his place.
