Appleton getting $2.9M is insane. Thrilled it’s somewhere else.

Surprised he got a contract. 2.9 is pretty crazy for his production. LeBron Ehlers taking his time here. Rumors are it’s down to Carolina Colorado (puke) Washington and Tampa. also talk that he’s looking for guaranteed top line minutes. he will not be a Jet again.

The main reason we’ve lost 3 Grey Cups in a row in my opinion has been the offensive line struggling to protect Zach combined with Zach not being as athletic as he once was. If Vanderpool provides a significant upgrade to the offensive line then I think it’s worth shaping the rest of the lineup around that.

Bombers at Stamps early chat

Wallace played fine but the Bombers run game was weak in both those games he started. The OL absolutely dominated with Vanterpol starting. Maybe that’s why he’s back in. 🤔 - Today

Lawler.

Somewhat like Dobson and Lawler are probably doing....and wondering why they playing in a glorified highschool stadium as opposed to the best one in the country

To paraphrase Doug Brown, he's with his brother. They get to talk about each loss together and bond.

Those 5 are all ahl signings. Fagemo is interesting tho. 2019 draft round 2. Has some skills. Former kings do well here.

Always liked Mantha.

Slightly better version of Houston imo. Doesn't cheat as much, but isn't great. He played half a year last year, I don't think we will see much upward movement from him, hes 28 to. Dodged a major bullet. Yuupp. I get hes an electric athlete. But he isn't that guy and db isn't that position. The scheme was a big part of it. And the fact that teams kept throwing that way 1 because we had softer coverage guys, but also Nichols and Bond to the other side. I think he'd be doing similar to last year if he were here. But Edmonton D isn't like ours.

100% he was.

It's a long list, but off the top of my mind, Deven Thompson, WR/KR, would be an exceptional get. That guy is insanely explosive and a much better WR than you usually see from that kind of outlier athlete. Zay Paige, another diminutive kr/wr type. Denzel Mims is an incredible athlete with great size who was very productive in the NCAA. He went in the 2nd round to the Jets. He could be a real killer in the CFL as a SB. Garmon Randolph is a huge end who projects similarly to WJ, and was even a TE in high school. Shaka Toney is another great athlete with pretty good pass-rush skills. Bunch of guys in or through the XFL, and NFL TCs. Not as many early college career kids, it's a pretty mature list.

crazy amount for a corner...well amy DB for that matter but especially a corner The Elks games I have watched haven't even noticed him popping off the screen either for most part....makes you wonder if he was the benafactor of playing in a solid group and scheme...he's a good db dont get me wrong...but not one the highest paid defenders in the league good tho

Thanks Booch. Agree with a rotation of guys. I did not know about the PR limitations due to Global designation I want to see Allen in as well at some point I really liked having Ford on our CB position - but you are correct - and in the cap crunch we are in - cannot afford the 185+ that he would have brought in.
-
It blows my mind that any GM thought that would be a good way to spend money.
-
yup....you should see a constant influx of guys untill you get that one who actually can push for a spot...we are ultra thin at WR...Case is there...but pffft....he's not good enough...are we waiting/banking that Wilson comes back....and we seen what sterns offers in 3 games...time to see what Mitchell brings and then keep the best of the 2....PR the other and dump Case i believe we can have a max of 3 globals on the PR that dont count toward the 10 man Can/American component...we have Bailey already....so Weitz really can be replaced...or not by any global and we should be scouring for them...I'd be looking for a kicker who can do all 3 jobs too if they wanna carry more than 1 He's been solid and not hurting us in any way....and should get better....I'd still like to see Allen get a shot too as he seems like a real play maker....that being said Bridges is more than adequate but you never know what you got until you give a guy a chance in a real game too...I'm sure we will get an injury where he may getbhis chance and never come off roster so glad we didnt pay up for that....185k would have been too much for the positin he played
