  1. Past hour
  2. a well earned win
  3. Jets making the most of their limited shots so far.
  4. Today
  5. Not a fan but a sizeable act. Better than some bad modern country artist
  6. his vets loved him, and guys loved playing on those teams. they were a serious draw to free agents. but at the same time, he kicked guys to the curb the moment they dropped off. didn’t matter what they did in the past or what they earned.
  7. I’m not a fan of either pick, but I think mgk is a better fit with the target demo and players than country. I mean, I think he’s pretty close to pop country, but atleast he’s in a better direction. Pass thing, they shouldve done some staggered release of tickets and added more.
  8. Pretty much this, for me. I was expecting some lame-ass country singer.
  9. Yesterday
  10. It's not country so I don't hate it but I'm definitely not a MGK fan. Was expecting worse TBH.
  11. MGK. What a disappointment.
  12. There was this coach who clearly valued talent. I mean the man once said that guys could play for him until he found somebody better. Who was that again? Oh yeah, 5 time Cup winner as a head coach, Don Matthews.
  13. Pearson on the 2nd line seems like a stretch. Yes, he had a couple points last game, but that is obviously not his norm. And why take him away from a line that was maybe building chemistry. We’ll see what happens, but seems like an odd decision.
  14. Namesy opens the scoring for the Jets
  15. our lady peace kicks it off. MGK headlines. https://www.cfl.ca/2025/10/16/mgk-to-rock-bud-light-grey-cup-halftime-show-at-112th-grey-cup/
  16. Anyone who dumps on Stacey Nattress as an anthem singer better drop to their knees and thank whatever God they pray to that we don’t have the Flyers’ Lauren Hart doing it. Tone deaf and nails on a chalkboard bad.
  17. Really sad hearing Ace has passed, he had a lot of issues with substance abuse and with Gene and Paul but he was a hell of a guitar player. Not the biggest fan of Kiss but you can't deny their place in the rock world both musically and theatrically.
  18. oh yeah TSN3 6 pm start time

  20. Glue guys have to perform no matter the vocation. That's been my experience. It's not an either/or. It's both.
  21. If you think selfish, me first players in football generally had short careers, you’ve soundly fallen out of touch. Their careers aren’t shorter than any one else’s, and their numbers in modern pro football is extremely high. Dickie never put any kind of stamp on those riders teams. that was all chris jones through and through. they didn’t flush the jones way of doing things till this regime now. That regime didn’t value talent over character, they recruited only for talent and at times seemed to prize the toxic head case types. It’s not a question of one guy more or less talented. Talent is a small glimpse production. Hubert last year wasn’t a tremendous talent, he was and is a very good role guy despite his talent level because he was smart, tough, and had good hands. The problem is we start guys no one else would. It’s not a potential talent thing, or athleticism thing, or a fit/production thing. It’s literally all of those with guys like kola and jake. They are so far below the average replacement level it’s terrifying. Look at a guy like christopher fortin. True rookie canadian starting, was the last pick of the first round. He is soo much better than kola it’s not even funny, but what’s worse, is he would probably be our 2nd best ol this year. Half our games he might be our best ol. Veresuk is also starting as a true rookie canadian, he was the second pick, but he’s out played veteran imports on our team. We plugged in guys like allen, and woodbey making our D better, months after continually trying to force fit bad players. We’ve done this every year for a long time. We kept hammering collin kornelson not just onto the AR but into high volume rotation over a bunch of better players while handily over our ratio requirements. These are heavy handed, undisputed downgrades we forced our self to endure because we didn’t want to play the best players. That’s not even scratching into repeatedly hammering guys like biggie and schoen into the line up when they were badly compromised in terms of health and un able to perform. It’s not arm chair qbing, it’s not conspiracy theorists or wild accusations. It’s now becoming so prevalent that even the complacent media are firing shots at our coaching. Roster management issues have always been the reality. We backed ended into an all time squad and rode it into the dirt. Every team needs glue guys. but you have to have the pieces to glue together. other wise you’re just glue, and we are pretty close to that now. Half our cap is tied up in guys who are fringe league guys.
  22. Absolutely... I'm assuming it's the GC half time show but absolutely could be a nothing burger.
  23. It's gotta be a balance. Glue guys are great... but at some point you need guys who can make some ******* plays consistently. We used to have that, we don't so much anymore. Too much glue and not enough wow.
  24. Notice how it says update and not announcement? It could mean nothing but I guess we'll find out.
  25. Thing with glue guys, it’s another way of saying not talented enough.
  26. I think that you have been voted off the island.
  27. Mitchell obviously doesn't want to be here- maybe he never did. A bad acquisition that has been allowed to fester, and if he is the best Walters could find, that is another nail in the coffins of both.
