Bombers at Als early chat
Super Duper Negatron replied to WinnipegGordo's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Reporters have their stories written before they even ask. They want quotes, not information. -
Hey, I got an "eye roll" from Noeller! Does that mean I've been initiated?

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
wbbfan replied to Atomic's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
i love seeing a guys hustle and motor pay off. especially a canadian linemen. -
why does it feel like some of these reporters are simply asking questions to confirm their own opinions? I get the need to ask them but its annoying how they try to put words in the coaches mouth rather than just letting him explain
-
As opposed to his play calling? Just kidding 😁

i’d say he was average for the cfl as a lt. which considering he is a G andy as been a project at T for the nfl and us is not a bad sign. he was really good at G this year. he’s worth developing at T and is definitely the future right now. in a perfect world i’d have rando at lt as he’s much better in pass pro and vanterpool at rt. but they didn’t do as well last year when pushed into battle at those sides. but it was a bad situation and early for both. either that, or wallace maybe kicks out to rt, or manu comes up. wallace also moves well and has seen snaps at C here and could play that despite his size. We need to keep looking for imp ol especially tackles, and canadians as always. but we have good options and modularity. i think we can see a fast turn around on the ol when kola/bryant/neuf pack it in. adams has been good, but his snaps have dipped hard. the 3 end front, and all the two canadian dls have ravaged his snaps.

One can hope…. Those glasses made him look like a moron.
-
Ah, so that's what Hogan looks like. I couldn't tell from the earlier photos wth the cap on backwards and the sunglasses. Perhaps, his play calling will mature along with his attire?
-
I appreciated Younger's answer when he was asked why they let both Bighill and Alexander go at the same time, given how important leadership and communication are. "The other side of that is the physical toll that the game takes. Either way, you have a challenge. Whether the challenge is communication or physical limitations - you choose your challenge."
-
Even adding woods as a extra dlineman would be beneficial, most teams run with 8 dlinemen, last game both our dline and oline looked gassed Also Adams hasn't been as effective recently, Younger has been utilizing both Smeckle and Thomas instead for run stopping
-
He may have been rusty or out of position, but I didn't see Vanterpool as exceptionally good at LT, and with an aging Big Stan, plus an increasingly brittle Collaros, that has to be a concern.

Man, I would love to see all of that…. And it’s so frustrating to know that likely none of it will happen.

yeah we have the guys here, and the skill sets to really set our defense on the right track....but sooooo stubborn clinging to guys who just dont make us our best....but Osh likes them....so they remain And agree...Wallace needs to stay on....yo-yopng him around is not the best thing for him....and who knows...could sit in his mind and be a deciding factor in him bolting Bailey can come on as the 45th guy for a Canadian...so take pick of Ball or Thomas...

It makes too much sense!

It sucks, I really Like Ayers and Jjones too. But we refuse to use them on D, and you just can't bury all your DI talent with guys who don't contribute on D/O. On teams, Ayers has seen a ton of double teams this year and is still making solid plays. I think his value for a purely Teams Di is the highest of anyone outside of Sergio. Maaaaaan, getting Woods on and Thomas off would be HUGE for our D. Woods and Adams inside more would be incredible. Take Kyrie out, and roll with the Jones' and Ayers with the Dime/wil package. And get Shay/Smith in some as well. Then the DL with Lawson and Schmek to rotate inside, Person and put bailey on to rotate on the edge. That front would be devastating to other teams Os. Getting Dandy on would be huge as well. Griffin is such a gem, excels in any play call, position, no matter who you have around him. He's Nichols 2.0. I'm interested to see what we do with Vanterpool when he is healthy again. I'm not sure Wallace will be coming off.
-
Yeah, I was thinking of Bailey on for Ayers. May see it on Labour Day to get Houston or another DB onto the roster.
