PS Game #2
Not sure Osh' mindset going into these games..no vets get any work and we have had rusty starts due to it....And why give TE most the game, you see what he is about..Live arm...some pocket awareness but needs a lot of seasoning, and needs to just relax and let play come to him,,,,We then have Perkins playing with all crap really, so tough to gauge. I think he will be fine, he just needs to also settle in and play his game and not worry about show casing his arm...there were a few times he had acres of yards he coulda ate up but was too occupied with trying to show some passing chops and forced..or awkwardly tossed balls he didnt need too...play his game...roll outs..sprint outs...RPO stuff and his passing will look a lot better, as history in 2 leagues and college will show... Fredrickson as well...all game...while others got reps here and there...sure he caught a few but also muffed several and was basically fed 80% of the passes tonight...and did nothing with it really...both games...and basically does zero after the catch...like running in mud...The one drop was a direct result of his lack of athleticism and vertical...couldnt get his big body up to make the catch. Singer has won and should b the 5th receiver, as he is a returner, and sure dropped one he should have had but is explosive and has big play ability, and pair him with the starting Offence as the 5th guy...he will look damn good. I sure they will PR Fredrickson tho as they have some fascination with him I do not see. None of the oline guys made a case to be a starter...who and what they keep will be interesting Dixon and Jenkins I think made roster..who is the "starter" and who the DA is the question...and really irrelevant as both will see lotsa reps...as both can slide inside. Fletcher too made a case for PR at worst...versatile...moved well....was disruptive. Reese as well PR at worst....Best get off of any end we have and has a motor....Clinton too should be kept...he's good...fast...closes like a bullett. DB's are a crapshoot...We know we set with Holm...Nichols...Moxey...that other corner is the only question...Looks to me Williams is front runner and just looks most ready. Also have to consider Lamont as we know Osh likes his vets, and he did nothing to play himself off the team and that was playing with scrubs and guys who will be cut. Place him with the starting group and he would be just fine. And the fact we had Jaylen Smith in a 2 man safety role at times, and Vaval will be a DA and likely DB backup we prob don't DA an extra DB so it frees up Dline help. With Griffin...Smiths emergence...Kramdi at safety if we sustain a DB injury Griffin can easily slide out to one the spots and Kramdi or Smith take over SAM.... One thing i find odd was that all this talk and hype about Daniels...we basically ignored him and had zero involvement of him in passing game...like wtf?...See what he can do catching and route running...unless we hiding it for the real season it was a bit perplexing...and If they don't plan to use I have a a hard time seeing an AR spot for him as he really showed nothing in his reps we couldnt get with an extra olineman, or using MCI or Clercius as a TE Glad I was in my seat and didnt have to watch it...The use of the new scoreboards was good tho...basically full screen of plays....minimal ad interruption. And the new ribbon boards below the ring of honour and at field level are pretty nice and slick...stadium looks good...best in league by far for game presentation

PS Game #2
It was the worst pre-season stream yet. At the beginning they didn't have CJOB in sync. The play was over before they started describing it. They showed folks in the crowd instead of the plays. Showed ads while the play was going on. Pure amateur hour.

DAZN doesn't fix that problem. Your son will now be able to easily find 20% of the games. Big whoop!

Around the NHL 2025-26
Dear Hockey Gods Hurricanes in four every game blowout with Carter Hart pulled 4 times and JT losing his mind and embarrassing himself on national tv. Thank you, appreciate it. Amen.

PS Game #2
Yup perfect example that football is the ultimate team sport when it comes to the BB’s success or lack of and in this case scouting and being held accountable for their piece of the pie.

2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
He didn’t bring politics into the conversation he said saying negative things about Alberta. You just assume it’s ‘politics’ when sometimes it’s not.

2026 Bombers Season
My strategy is make friends with tech geeks and lavish them with praise.
-
New TV Contract
My contribution to a grassroots approach in building our league is hammering our 22 year old son to convert to the CFL from the NFL and hammering our 25 year old daughter just to take interest in CFL football. I’m not having much luck, I need a little more customized help from the league to catch the attention of this generation.

New TV Contract
Well TSN on cable has almost 9 million subscribers just in Canada....which doesn't mean people are always on TSN, but they have it. Then add the TSN+ people. TSN+ also has a lot more value than DAZN. They are kind of in active competition over NFL, but either way Bell gets paid. DAZN has 20 million subscribers in the ENTIRE WORLD with almost all of them in Western Europe. It will be a lot of work to get people on DAZN for one CFL game a week. DAZN app itself needs a lot of work. I did one season for NFL on there and switched back to my cable provider for Sunday Ticket/RedZone because there would be weeks that I couldn't get most of the streams on DAZN to work. CFL will just be one stream at least so maybe they can handle that easier.

2026 Bombers Season
No, most people aren't tech geeks & won't bother.
-
New TV Contract
For now, the CFL has stability & increased revenues & that's alright.
-
New TV Contract
I’d be curious now what percentage of TSN CFL viewers watch on cable vs stream through the app. For cable cutters TSN is a paywall too
-
New TV Contract
If a league like the CFL is going to stream, they better go all in on it. Playing 3 games a week on cable and 1 game a week behind a paywall is just about the dumbest setup to get uptake. Can't compare to NHL or NFL selling individual games to Amazon or Netflix because those apps are ubiquitous....everyone has them. And they offer a lot. People buy the DAZN to watch one thing. So you need someone to care enough about the CFL's SNF to now download, subscribe, pay and keep finding it. So yeah it will be nice for the families of the players in the US (who actually get ALL the games on DAZN), but that's not a driver of revenue. This actively makes it harder for Canadians, the people who watch the CANADIAN Football League, to watch games. I don't dispute that the CFL is trying to exist in a broadcast environment in Canada that doesn't really support it's operation. There's two main broadcasters in Canada and they are both actively working to get out of producing live sports. Even more of a reason to actually take the gamble in a way that might work with a streaming partner. But I truly don't believe the future board chair of Bell running the league today is working in best interests of the league.

New TV Contract
They could get a tv deal for $2 billion & you'd find something to complain about. Like Toronto would lose $35 million instead of $25 mill. There's no way that TSN could be exclusive broadcast rights anymore. Things had to change. Tell me, since you seem to hate this deal so much, what would you have done? What kind of package would you have put together?
-
2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
Well, have you read the pathetic bitching on social media over this tv deal? As well as all the rule changes?? That is neither hate or age related. It's fact & nothing new. And just how you can bring politics into this conversation is incredible. Oh & guess what? It's called having an opinion without rage baiting like ageism or hating on Alberta.
-
New TV Contract
Well if they are willing to cut their TV ratings in Canada by likely a half to 2/3 on the Saturday game for a few thousand potential US viewers they are even dumber than we think. They got one big cheque. Now Montreal and Toronto will only lose $12 million a year instead of 15. The celebratory self back pats can’t go on too long.

PS Game #2
It's pre season. Get a grip.
-
New TV Contract
You guys that ***** & complain about everything. Do you have any idea how much of a pain in the ass it is to watch the CFL on its own streaming service in the US when it's not on CBS Sports? My son has given up watching as it really is annoying. He has no idea when the games are being played. This deal with CBS Sports only gave teams a hundred grand or so each season & is one of the leftovers of the ******* Randy Ambrosie screw up years. The DAZN deal will be easier for fans to subscribe to to find the games.

2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
Fwiw it looks like Dru Brown had a good night for Ottawa. Only one incompletion, and two TDs with 0 INTs. Didn't play a ton of time but looked very good while was in.

PS Game #2
I guess I watched a different game, I thought their was a lot of positives in tonights game. The score really didn't tell the full story, the secondary for which I assume none of these guys are going to start was the reason for it being lopsided. I really liked the pressure of our d-line and the solid tackling from most of the guys. On O , the makeshift o-line did a great job protecting both QB's. Singer looked like he belongs. TE made the right decisions and good throws. Perkins didn't help his cause but looked much better after trying to not force things. I wish that they had given him the 3rd quarter, that was a big mistake from the team. Clearly he needs to be moving around and won't succeed as a drop back passer. Special Teams looked good. Overall we looked good against Rourke and company and outside of some crappy play by **** players like Stuart, things look good. Now the fact that so many of our vets basically didn't play at all during pre season... that might be another story.

PS Game #2
Yeah that one handed pick six by a LB right off the line was a pile of ****. I think it's right to be excited about Elgersma. There's a lot to work with there. His numbers look like **** but we're talking like 8 drops in 2 games, a couple walk in touchdowns on big plays if the receiver finishes his route. Singer seems to be the guy getting the most raves, he made a lot of drops and struggles on the vertical routes.

PS Game #2
I think the overall showing from "new talent" this year is pretty poor. It's been bad for a few years now. I wouldn't expect a lineup of rookies to be competitive but you're always looking for the wow moment from a rookie and I can't say I saw a single one in either preseason game.

PS Game #2
Yeah, the calibre of video we got was only acceptable if the guys doing it were volunteers.
