  2. Also, I doubt pubs and restaurants are going to have a subscription to show that in their venues as opposed to just throwing tsn on one of the tvs.
  3. In the states you have to have subscriptions to about 4 services to watch every national broadcasted game for the NFL.
  4. So Dru Brown demoted to 2nd string by the looks of it. I wonder is this is just Dinwiddie mind games, or just wanting to get a way better look at Maier? Not sure what to make of this? Will Ottawa keep Brown at his salary to sit as 2nd string? Keep in mind they have 3 other QBs that looked very impressive in preseason game 1. Would Ottawa cut Brown loose or trade him? Would we be open to bringing him back if there was the possibility? I WOULD. At any rate, whoever shakes loose from Ottawa, I would be very interested in bringing in and having a look see. They can't keep them all. Dinwiddie is very impressive in his ability to guru QBs. What he got out of Arbuckle the last 2 seasons after his career looked DOA, how he got Kelly playing very good ball in a short amount of time etc.
  5. Because the greedy fucks who make decisions don't realize that people don't want 1000 subscription payments to watch everything. They want 1 or 2 places to get what they want. More than that piracy is more attractive.
  6. I actually don't think Wilson was ever as much of an after thought as all that... I think the backup spot was wide open to whoever wanted to take it.

  9. I'm just looking around the league at everyone's potential 3rd string and not seeing where he would latch on. Maybe I'm undervaluing his SY, but I see a whole bunch of young 3rd string guys who have actually looked quite good in preseason so far and some teams 4th stringers that might catch on before Wilson. We know he isn't going anywhere based on his actual QB play thus far. If he agrees to PR somewhere then maybe....
  10. So in order to watch the games starting next year, one has to pay for either cable and DAZN or TSN and DAZN......we no longer have the ability to watch all games from one source....If I got this correct then I don't like it.....how many casual eyeballs, heck even dedicated eyeballs are really going to drop that extra money.... Extra revenue is nice for the teams but I don't see this generating any extra viewership....

  18. I'm really curious to know why everyone seems to think DAZN is so low on the totem pole. They're huge outside of the US. Their NFL service in Canada is great. I hate the price, but the quality is amazing. no kidding lol just such unawareness
  19. Isn't every NFL game on DAZN in Canada?
  20. True and this revenue better result in helping grow and enhance the league and attract talent viewership etc versus lining the pockets of capitalist pigs. Again starting off my morning outstanding! Good morning all!
  21. If anyone is curious like I briefly was if this deal was implemented this year it would affect Week 18 (away at MTL) and week 19 (home vs Calgary)
  22. I wonder who the broadcast team for DAZN will be. Will they use TSN guys or will they need to hire their own talent? Not that the TSN broadcast is a gold standard or anything, but if they need to hire a whole crew for one game a week, how bad will they be?
  23. Today
  24. yeah...When TE signed...Perkins coming up...I think writing was on the wall. I think tho he will latch on...experience is currency and he does run a good short yardage
  25. yeah I been with same one for yrs...never any issue
  26. More money in teams pockets...i guess when you look at it on a teams bottom line...its a win
  27. Ya, I don't like having to use DAZN too but if the $$$ is really good for the league and will keep the league alive, so be it.
  28. It's a good deal for 6 years but when DAZN finds out that nobody is subscribing, they won't be back for a round 2 after this deal is up.
  29. DAZN is where desperate leagues/promotions go to for a tv deal. Not a good sign at all. Zero casuals are going to buy a DAZN subscription just to watch Saturday night CFL games. Had it been Prime/Netflix it would have made sense. In a time when technology has moved so far ahead... I keep going back to the illegal streams just to watch the few things that I enjoy.
  30. I really don't think Wilson was ever in our plans and he was a dead duck coming to camp and brought in mainly because we already had him under contract. The fact that we would rather have Streveler throw 5 passes in a game than to give Wilson time on the field, pretty much told me all I need to know about Wilson's prospect of continued employment. Will Wilson catch on somewhere else? It would take a monumental amount of dominoes dropping league wide for it to happen imo.
  31. Love that the spot rates for Corus, Harvard and others just went up... Radio broadcasts on Saturday night is A-OK for me ... The one good thing will be that this is expected to be a significant windfall for the league (I saw the number $500 million over 6 years floated around but that's just baseless Internet talk) and the salary cap will be going way up. It won't last long though when DAZN finds out that nobody's going to pay for their service ..
  32. Yes, they've had fights on there for years. They've aired a ton of big boxing matches (Canelo often has his fights on there) and have even shown UFC stuff (for non-US markets) in the past but it's mainly Bellator, PFL & KSW for MMA.
  33. Yep the loss of Rigmaiden has very much affected us imo. We just aren't finding the impact players we need to keep the cupboards full. We can all grouse about letting our guys get too long in the tooth, but nobody is behind them pushing them out.
  34. Would be a big boost to any potential expansion fees as well
  35. This is true
