  4. Team looks much better on paper across the board from last year. I think there's a lot of roster nitpicking going on, which is completely fair, but preemptive. The sky is not falling.

As if we have an option for a backup QB in the recent free-agency 🤣 McLeod Bethel-Thompson Caleb Evans Shea Patterson Tyrie Adams Dustin Crums (MTL) Matt Shiltz (Retired) Jake Dolegala Harrison Frost Chris Streveller (Retired) Jack Coan (SSK) Jake Maier (OTT) Logan Bonner Chase Brice Jeremiah Masoli

  10. It makes no sense to me the allure of being a hardcore Golden Knight fan. Their whole organization gives off a cringy gimmicky shite vibe of slots, crap tables and stupid b rated shows with the actual hockey being a distraction and background noise catering to fair weather ‘sports’ fans wanting to be entertained in between their gambling activities. Feck I loathe this organization. Go Avs.

  16. If the Bombers could win ten games with Hogan at OC I am sure they will win more with Condell who actually seems to know what he is doing. The defence and special teams should be just as good this season as last year. Sure there are depth concerns but after cut down day when every team has 45 players they're all razor thin at at least one position group.
  17. I was gonna start another thread about this, but since you brought it up.... How would posters here rank the CFL Starting QBs? Rourke Alexander BLM VAJ Collaros Harris Dru Kelly Faj How does that shake out for people on here?
  18. Most teams are in a similar situation at QB. Davis, Harris, Adams, Rourke - injuries to any of them could sink that team's season. And some them are known for getting hurt
  19. As of today, in my known expert opinion, the oline is better with the addition of Broxton and Kolo's departure. The defence should be really good. Brady is excellent. Wilson+White+Demski is a nice trio and I like Nield. The questions are how does Zach play? Can we stay healthy? How do we manage the ratio? Do we keep loading the roster with STers who can't/don't get reps on offense or defense? Best case, we win the Cup. Worst case we miss the playoffs. Likely case, we're somewhere around 10 wins and don't win the Cup.

  21. It was honestly a sincere question from me... Trying to figure out if we're already cooked for the year and shouldn't bother watching the games. Maybe the defense can win them all? But it sounds like, at best, we're a 7-8 win team struggling to not be the one team who doesn't make playoffs. That's less than heartening...
  22. You don't have to be an "expert" to see we still razor thin at QB and a significant injury there likely kills our hope "Expert " sentiment isnt required either to see that after our 5 best recievers.. we are razor thin..zero experience let alone depth and no real front runner with exceptional talent to make a difference..which also goes back to the hope ZC has a renesaince again..but he also is a guy who doesn't thrive with inexperienced and less than stellar talent around him at this juncture The draft..was ok'ish but took a flier on a guy early who we didnt need to, and is a question mark for sure and is only gonna be a bit player as well while missing out on some guys who could likely contribute immediately...then went and took another flier on a guy already signed in NFL and back loaded the rest with a bunch of guys who really won't Crack.. or have no business cracking roster..just more low to no upside guys that we already had a slew of...that being said we nailed free agency so that's a good thing

  24. marty york level expert hot take there. We all know we are counting on a resurgent zach and any thing less including a significant injury has us cooked, short of another zach level miracle with one of the back ups or a trade. 1-2 imp wr injuries/busts will do about the same. If either of those happen, we are probably a 5 win team. May 7-8 if it happens mid to late in the year. The Defence should be exceptional. Even if things go bad on D, it should still be pretty good. Teams too.
  25. I'm willing to give all the changes a chance to see how it works out.
  26. The Bomber medical staff & Osh cooked him last season.
  27. 650000 in the US is terrible. That's like 65000 watching the CFL in Canada. The only reason they average 15000 a game is because St Louis pads the attendance average & even then, the Battlehawks are drawing significantly less than in years before as are the Washington Defenders. As far as the NHL goes, most markets are averaging 90% capacity at home for attendance. The UFL is failing badly. Just one guy is keeping that going. The owner Steve Repole who thinks operating a league fron a central location is better than individual owners, coaches & scouting. Yeah, it's working out great so far, isn't it?
  28. Yup. That's what the sentiments of the "experts" here.
  29. Yeah, no idea when games are televised. The UFL is a hot mess. If Johnson has a vision of merging with this zombie blood sucking money league, that'll be the end of the CFL. Pro football will cease to exist in Canada.
  30. So what I've gathered from MBB after one week of camp is that we completely pooched the draft, our recruitment on offense was garbage, and we're one offensive injury away from going 0-18...?
  31. Have to see in a game I guess...he has an average vertical and his speed in combine was 4.7's and don't see the elite body control some other receivers who run 4.6 to 4.7 have to compensate for the lack of being a real burner...Kenny Lawler for one, and you had generally a better than 50% chance he would go get a ball if you got it even remotely close to him. I didn't see him be able to get much separation in drills either, and his footwork isn't elite either. Sure there has been some mention of him making a big catch here or there, but that was also a matter of his not getting separation and against a lot of guys who will never play up here. So what should have been just your standard pitch and catch skelly play seemed more impressive, that's not gonna happen against CFL vets, or teams starters. But am curious as to what he does in a pre-season game(s)as some guys just go off in games, but look pedestrian in practice, Also wanna see what the QB convert TJ Davis brings as that could be an intriguing guy and possible use as an option pass potential, and is good with ball in his hands making people miss so could be used in jet sweep type stuff...plus he has returned kicks. So hopefully he gets a lot if use in pre-season to show the versatility we need. but right mow I would take Wheatfall over any guy we brought into camp this yr, and I sure Condell would have had a use, or known a way to use him. Hopefully that impression changes after pre-season game 1
  32. How would Jabari Arthur factor into this conversation?
  33. He'd probably drop the phone if we called.
  34. From what I have heard, Fredrickson has all the tools, but needs polishing. May he will be the next Shoen, but younger and more durable.
  35. I like the extra games...sure the meat of the season may seem redundant...but also can consider it a kinda season long round robin type thing to seed all the teams. The absolute worst team really has no business being in the post season picture, and some of the lesser's a lot of times just run out of time, and were constantly improving...a lot of time due to new coaching and systems/players taking a while to gel...so now they get that extra little time. I can see it making for quite a few more meaningful games as some the lower ranked teams will be jockeying for seeding now...whereas before at times, especially in the east the top 2 teams had their spot secured by labor day, and the bottom 2 were totally just playing out the string....not now
  36. and sadly what went on here last yr...is the cause of a career that was ruined...we rushed him back due to poor recruiting, then allowed him to keep going on a re-injured knee, again due to poor depth and poor judgement.....sad He was a good signing and at good value...BUT we should have had the foresight to not consider him until at least Labour day/BB and allow him a good 14..15 months of recovery and eased him in in a rotational capacity....He'd be still playing today and likely going into this yr back to pre-injury Schoen as that specific injury tho you can come back within the yr...the player doesnt truly become 100 percent the former player until the second yr post surgery Imagine having 100 percent Schoen this season with White...Pokey...Demski and a Neild/Clercius combo...His when healthy 1300+ yards and 13 td's per season average sure would look nice right about now at 29 yrs old Man we sure screwed that whole situation up...basically due to piss poor rostering and recruiting
