  2. Elgersma didn't do much in that pre-season game. He ran a mostly high % short yardage passing game. The numbers look good but I watched it and he was nothing speclal. It was one read and out of his hands kind of stuff.
  3. Hes 28 though. And not the prototype like elgersma is. Or have the stand out pre season performance. It doesn't guarentee any thing, but at his age, he would get another look for sure. Im really high on Bailey. He should've been on the roster most of last year. Not only can he be a good rotational piece, he's a good teams guy as well. He will. A bit more polish down south and he might get here ready to be a qb3 going into a camp.

  5. The thing is that you can only keep so many guys on the roster and futures can definitely be helpful sometimes when roster spots are limited. Is a 3rd rounder likely to come in and beat out any of your incumbents? That's the question you ask, if not then a futures pick can be the smart pick at that position. Lots goes into the equation, whats our roster makeup currently, what is our projection for our 2nd and 3rd year NATs? How deep is the draft? One shouldn't think that Elgersma is a flyer either. He is a guy chasing a dream that is going to end up here. A NAT QB with a high ceiling and a high probability of being in the CFL sooner rather than later is NOT a flyer. So, in short I agree with your assessment that rounds 3-4 you go realistic fliers, and then hail marys after that IF the draft is not deep or you don't want to draft someone just to have to release someone of equal talent already on your roster.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bombers took a futures pick with 20 or 24... that's the range you take a "realistic" flier (like Elgersma)... especially with 9 total picks this year... round 6/7 is for the hail mary future pick... like Gio Manu

  8. Elgersma will be here eventually. You guys are getting panicked about nothing. Best thing that could happen for us is that he gets another NFL camp to develop.

I heard this might be coming. He told a buddy of mine that he wanted to just coach full time. Good for him... He's an absolute beauty of a dude.

  13. I hated it then, and I hate it now. We had a chance at some real Right Now value and, right now, it seems like we pissed it away. Hopefully Elgersma pulls his head outta his ass...

  17. CBCWinnipeg public service recommends lowering default speed...The City of Winnipeg is recommending lowering the default speed limit in the city from 50 km/h to 40 km/h..

  19. That’s my line!
  20. I really don't mind if we reach with the extra pick IF it's for a guy that is a bubble NFLer. If we have to wait a year or two I'm OK with that.
  21. Walters yeah....but is the guy who just luvs his canucks also going over the talent ....I just hope we don't look at it as a 'throw away' pick like we did last year....We need all the help we can get NOW...I believe Elgersma was that pick in 25' ....just sayin'
  22. Always room for Canadian linebackers.
  23. An extra pick, what STer is Walters eyeing?
  24. 3DownNationEdmonton Elks, Winnipeg Blue Bombers awarded extra picks...The Edmonton Elks and Winnipeg Blue Bombers have been awarded extra picks in the 2026 CFL Draft, the league office has confirmed to 3DownNation. Each year,Bombers get an extra pick at 20. Not sure if any other picks have moved but that would put the Bombers at 4, 13, 20, 24 for the first three rounds.
  25. Oh please no politics. I'm melting.
  26. No better time to start then now! Activate which is next door is also a good workout and a lot of fun.
  27. Bailey likely slides into the rotation for sure. Not sure he is a FT DE starter but will probably be a nice complimentary piece to our DL.
  28. yeah he was very assignment sound and the perfect compliment kind of guy Lawson is real good...And this yr with actually help not named Thomas beside him gonna eat...He was I believe one of...if not the top Inside guys in terms of pressures and collapsing the pocket league wide for Canadian DT's Another totally under radar guy is Bailey who likely gets a roster spot this yr as rotation....the more reps he gets he gonna pop off the page alot..He has a real good combo of speed and power....Looking forward to his progression this yr
  29. Vega wasn't a great pass rusher but he did a lot of the other things really well. Yea...his career was way too short.
  30. I thought Jenkins and Jaworski showed a lot of promise in their brief appearance last year. People also underestimate Lawton He's more than decent - especially if he has some good linemen beside him You know Ceresna is going to draw some double teams allowing other dl to shine Am looking forward to seeing this group play
