Cooley might have to spend time on the PR biding his time waiting for a chance that might never come, Peterson already looks quite capable of backing up Brady, so it comes down to ratio. I'd love to see Pigrome and Cooley on the field at the same time, that would be fun.

Agree, Chase Artopeus had that Dru Brown vibe, cool and intelligent, maybe not as physically gifted as Wilson but surpassed him in effectiveness in one set of downs. They need to keep him around on the PR to evaluate whether he has real potential to develop or if he's just a gifted improviser that can get by faking it for awhile.

At the same age Dru Brown was the starter for Ottawa. He’s only 9 months older than Wilson. I don’t think there’s a lot of runway for Wilson to develop into a starter. A guy in his first pro camp looks more comfortable in the pocket. Would like to see some confidence from Wilson. Still a real hesitation to move the ball, then check downs to nothing because he held it so long. I get keeping him for the first little bit because of the suspension and Streveler coming off major knee injury, but we should be looking for another prospect.

That was the problem with Collaros early last season.

He does, but he is a lot farther along at this point than brown was. His touch was much better than last year and he did get the 3 step and faster timing done well. he’s un phased by the speed of the pros, pass rush pressure and really any thing. Guys cold as ice. Has an electric arm too. Gonna be fun to watch him continue to develop. At this point I’d like to see strevy start the pre season game 2. Then play Zach in q2, strev as much of the 3rd as he needs then Wilson the rest.

Like our 4 QBs. Chase should sit on the pr and get time down there until elgersma comes available any way.

I was at the game but reading now about the streaming issues, that's a joke. LRSD streams high school games on Youtube and its done by students at LRSD Arts and Tech.

The one issue I have with Wilson is I think he holds onto the ball a little bit too long. He needs to be quicker with his reads. He’s prone to taking sacks, I thought Artopeous did a great job of getting rid of the ball quickly

Wilson showed Great pocket presence in the Grey Cup.

I have no issues with it, I want to see shorter, quicker passes so that Zach doesn’t take a beating, and besides it’s pre season, it’s all about developing timing, and letting your receivers make a play. Regular season I’m sure we’ll see things open up a bit, but I think Zach was at his best last season when he was getting rid of the ball quick, I liked what I saw from the play calling today in terms of play calling and schemes.

Funny thing about the complaining about kick returns as some kind of franchise curse is we have the most total return TD's and fewest return TD's scored on us among CFL teams in the past 10 CFL seasons.

1. Jake Thomas. I missed the start of the game due to the CFL website being trash but I'm sure J.T was as always the best player on the field. 2. Our punter/holder. 5 for 5 on field goal holds. When you hold that well does it really matter how well you punt? Ask coach O'Shea he'll tell ya. 3. Our kick return/coverage. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Who's the last dangerous returner that we as an organization found? Grant was released from another CFL team and so was Stokes. That was my takeaway as well. The first hit that Wilson took was his fault. He needs to process what’s happening faster. I thought the 4th stringer’s arm looked good. Looked to me like he had zip on the ball throwing to the sideline. He should have had a td pass but Wallis got jammed at the line and was a step behind. The ball was in the perfect spot if Wallis gets a better release.
