  1. Past hour
  2. Couple of points. Peterson was a Ti Cat draft pick this year but somehow he ended up here, thankfully. McInnis & Hatcher are elite receivers. They're going to make catches that other receivers won't so no surprise that they had a couple of big catches even though for the most part we bottled up the BC passing attack.
  3. They should just leave Rourke in BC, dude has big problems playing at PAS
  4. Oh yeah one more thing. Why don't the Lions ever play Betts when they come to town? They could have really used him last night! Lolololol
  5. Was at the game. Didn't notice anything that would indicate Brady was hurt. So hopefully it's not too serious. Strev doesn't have that burst anymore it would appear. But he seems to be able to read the defense a lot better. He played really well. Wasn't perfect, but as good as we could have hoped for imo. Peterson!!! Damn. I dont know why but I was under the impression he was a global player. Where did he come from? Thought the O play calling was solid. Looking forward to how it develops over the year. Like Booch said, Viva Vaval!!! That guy has burst and doesn't appear to be afraid to run down field. Defense was fantastic all night. Some BS penalties cost them early. And im not sure how that long TD wasnt at minimum accidental PI. If a defender accidentally makes contact on a WR knocking him down, that's PI on defense. Have no idea why it wouldn't be the same when reversed. I haven't been his biggest fan, but outside of 1 or 2 punts. Sheehan was solid. Almost pinned them at the 1 but otherwise was keeping them to the sideline. Buck seems like a nice guy, but I wasnt a huge fan of his playing and his work as OC got worse and worse. Showed nothing that impressed me last night. 1 or 2 plays that had a BC wr open, otherwise Bomber Defenders were smothering wrs all night.
  6. Other than his cheap shot at the end on Strev Yeah they were damn good...small sample size but if 3..4 games in they are much the same it be tough pulling those dudes apart Griffin was never in risk of not being on roster...he allows us to do so much of what we do...can play all db spots and SAM and is one of our best form tacklers
  7. Lions started 4 Americans on their OL.....and still got caved in, by the Bomber OL
  8. So great that they took those airhorns away from those asshat fans in Montreal. Funny how the Als fans didn't miss them either. Sounds like a good time was had by all last week vs the Argos. As usual. a small group of fans spoiled it for everyone else.
  9. There’s no way the OL changes aside from injury. Take out Sterns, play one less American on D, drop Ayers or the returner….all things that happen before the OL changes. Just had 450 yards of offense with basically one half of Streveler in rhythm (never affected by rush on a drop back) and all but one drive with a guy who was playing against the Bisons 8 months ago at tailback. We can live without edge rush. OL is priority 1000%.
  10. Darn, I never saw this last week or this. Gonna have to pick this up next week. late start, strong finish...
  11. This game showed me why I'm glad Buck Pierce is the hell & gone as OC. Stev's best game of his pro career. He showed he can play qb. Changed up his fundamentals this off season. He showed that if you give him the entire playbook & not just make him a one dimensional raging ground warrior or gimmicky qb he can make the throws. For that we can thank LaPo & his protege Buck Pierce. Lapo had at least a bit of imagination with Streveler in 2018 & 19. He actually used him the best at the time considering back then his limitations as an actual qb plus his inability to read a CFL defense. Pierce OTOH was just sadistic expecting him to go out there & take the punishment that he did. I'm excited for Jarious Jackson as his position coach.
  12. Today
  13. Maybe jake's been sneaking on here & reading what we think of him. Giving him some motivation.
  14. The parabolic mic picked up Streveler giving Betts **** in the fourth quarter. That's okay, Betts isn't even a Top 5 DE in this league. All he can do is rush the passer & we pretty much shut him down last night. He makes way too much money for what he gives the Lions.
  15. and now I've got Now and Forever (Carole's version) going through my head too early in the day (yes I've seen League of their Own) https://people.com/betsy-jochum-last-original-player-league-of-their-own-dies-104-11753567?utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&utm_content=photo&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_term=684b8657ce73920001a6865f&fbclid=IwY2xjawK41X5leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF6UER2a0l5Wk55VlJERkR5AR7EiHxkqRqEH0bOGVxV55dG6vFrTCWzyvwRjd7eMagsOusiaIQ9Z1ZtNd-V2g_aem_XpEjlgkxvDPgpDG3XhjzLA
  16. How the hell was that hit on Strev by Betts after he threw the ball away while scrambling in the 4th not a penalty? The ball was well away when Betts hit him. The reffing in this league...ugh...
  17. Goalie is a legend in his own mind...
  18. Big ups to Strev for demonstrating to Buck that he's a real QB. HH to youtube hero Calgary Stampeders Classics who uploaded the game about three hours after it was done.
  19. I actually completely forgot about him until reading your post. He was completely invisible.
  20. Damn that aged poorly...thank goodness
  21. I think that boat just sailed, haven't seen an O-line that good in many years, just what they need to keep Zach safe and handle the CFL's top D-lines. Benefits the running game as well, which is the driver of the Bomber offence, with 3 strong RB's on tap they're going to march at will and be virtually unstoppable, should be well over 100 yds. every game.
  22. Big time, Hogan passes his first test. He called to Strevs strengths, didn't push him too hard, very efficient play calling. This shoulder chip better be the size of that catfish statue in Selkirk
  23. I’ll give a shout out to our whipping boys, I thought JT and Sheehan had decent games. JT had reasonably consistent push and Sheehan had a 46 yard avg. Streveler had a better game than I thought he would. A couple of short lob throws to the sideline that could get a receiver killed, and a bit of luck he didn’t have another pick or two, but overall was pretty good. Vaval was very good in the return game, but also lucky. You don’t get that lucky often where you recover your own fumble twice. Can’t play a returner you don’t trust, so he needs to clean that up. HH to Vanterpool. Based on tonight is an upgrade on Dobson.
  24. Betts did exactly nothing, in that game
  25. Jake had a very good first half...
