  2. I actually agree with Helle here. We went out and signed washed up bums to play with other washed up bums. I’d be pissed also but I’d prob recognize that I personally didn’t have the best year either despite having smoke blown up my ass by some MAGA folks. Connor has always been an arrogant conceited prick, the guy refuses to accept any sort of criticism. Always been like this. The reality is he’s going nowhere because 1. He’s pretty right in his general opinion and 2. Goalies get nothing in return. This will be an interesting off season. Perhaps one of the more important ones… I’ll also say you don’t need all of Iafallo names and Nino taking up spots either. 2 of 3 must go by any means necessary. I like AI but he likely has some value where Nino and names have none. Nyquist is exhibit A for what Helle is actually talking about by the way. Can’t disagree with him. I can’t be upset with guys who want to win but teams with lesser goalies have won Stanley Cups so it’s not like Helle isn’t replaceable. Personally my untouchables are Helle 55 81 Gabe Lowry Josh Salo. Let’s throw in Koepke now and Rosen. That’s it Everyone else is on the table for upgrades.

  6. Elgersma said his job is to help Winnipeg win the Cup. Correct response.
  7. Yeah...and he finally has put himself in the right environment to make said strides. Not that I think he will get another NFL opportunity anytime soon...if ever really, but if he was to maybe get a sniff it will be from being up here and showing he belongs on a pro field and can be successful. That being said he prob won't show any of that potential for at least 2 yrs and even then woukd be pushing 27 and still considered as a project down there and will have aged out. No team will invest money and time..especially in a Canadian College kid who if he ever shows starter or number 2 talent when that player will be pushing 30..not gonna happen His top end ceiling this yr likely is a number 3 guy running short yardage and accumulated tds doing so..but we have seen u can get that with any big body behind center..not always even a qb...that in itself won't get you a sniff...
  8. I'm not sure his suspension starts ticking down until he's under contract. Anyway, it was a minimum 6 games and could be more. Not a great opportunity for other teams to considering a player not available for that extended period.
  9. Having your feelings hurt because somebody reacted to your comment is hilarious! Naturally you'd blame it on politics which makes it even more hilarious. Thanks for the laugh, I for one appreciate it.

  14. Chad Kelly needs a wingman too
  15. Ok so I got a moronic eye roll for my post. What does that mean? Explain yourselves Helle-haters. I pray that this isn't due to some extremely stupid political reason but I know it probably is, and that's just awful if true.
  16. .................and some Jets too.
  17. my hope is that the biggest reason we picked him and did it early was we liked the intangibles from the interview and conversations with his coach. If the kids soft skills are as good as his raw arm talent, he’s got as good a chance as it gets. I don’t expect any thing of value on the field this year from him. I’m hoping he shows a bit more of what he did in nfl pre season, but mainly that he shows great strides between now and next years camp.
  18. Obviously I hope TE turns into Rourke but I just can't imagine a world where a CIS QB has the ability of an NCAA Div 1 kid.... But... Maybe TE is the best CIS QB of all time? Time will tell.
  19. We * out **** but not boner. lol TE will be Rourke 2.0 but better. One can hope. No harm no foul.
  20. Yesterday
  21. A number of Bombers sitting cageside for UFC Winnipeg. I see Patty, Wallace, Eli, Demki, Oliveira and Walters.
  22. He looks the part...passed they "eye test" curious tho as why nobody kept him around for at least a yr to develop tho...guess we will see first hand in a month...maybe he doesn't have the aptitude or process ability at pro level...maybe back to the game he knows we reap the rewards...I pulling for him but with very tempered view
  23. The reality is that we have had multiple can't-miss quarterbacks come into camp and flame out, so the odds are against Elgersma. That several NFL teams thought highly enough of him to bring him in is reason for optimism but certainly no guarantee, but if you are a Bomber fan, you live on hope.
  24. oh look Koepke is staying
  25. Nailed it. When Ajous suspension is up, how long before the als sign him? I Bet they already made the call lol
  26. I think this is a great point if TE sticks around and maybe that is how ZC progresses into coaching.
  27. When a professional athlete like CH signs a long term contract I’m assuming before he signs he gets some assurances from management and ownership that they are fully committed to winning. Fair. And if they show they aren’t as time progresses then a discussion is needed. However time it has been only one season that has passed since winning the Presidents trophy and there are no guarantees in winning so needed patience, persistence, individual/team accountability and commitment to the ultimate goal is mandatory. So being the highly skilled conceited questionable self aware prick that he is, I’m thinking he is less focussed on this and more of the it’s everything and everyone else are the problems so when winning doesn’t happen predictably the real CH shows up thru exit interviews and such. Being probably the overall best player on the Jets do we want him highly influencing the culture of this team. True leadership comes out when the seas are angry not calm. CH is a great example that simply being a highly skilled athlete in a specific skill, in this case goaltending, does not make you competent in other areas that doesn’t involve goaltending. I’ll step down from my soap box now.
  28. No don't trade him for a bag of pucks. Good grief, this is why we can't have nice things. I am for trading him if we can get some big value back, AND we have someone coming up behind him. Now would be a good time to maximize value for him for sure.
  29. he wasnt really made to kick anything over 40 yards...thats what...his consecutive streak record the league blkathered on about was a load of horsepiss as he kicked what...5 maybe over 40+ yards? confidence dropped when made to kick real FG's....basically
  30. agreed...should b....better be....and if it's not based on Walter's work....then cutting the head off the coaching aspect who is the one in charge of roster...player retention and deletions....game day preparedness and adjusting has to be done...and basically confirms where the main issues lie....and I'd do it in the last 3rd of the season if we on outside looking up....and get the head start going into Grey Cup week to let any interested parties know we in the market....or do our own back channel tampering...as it's a common thing anyway so for us not o do it is just dumb For now will give the benefit of the doubt based on moves and guys we moved on from...coaches we didnt retain (tho one is still lingering around...and god knows why) Now was that all Walter's doing and removing temptations?...guess we shall see when final roster is posted after TC and how the first 3 or so games go and if it's just becoe the same ol same ol...just with a new cast of characters I am skeptically optimistically at current, and think maybe some have learned finally and its adapt/evolve...or die...we shall see....but looking forward to camp and intend to try and get there several times to see first hand...I have no faith and trust in the media based on what I see from them when there...and what I read after the fact...and Tait's articles albeit a good read and well done, and enjoyable...are a lot of fluff pieces based on his marching orders
