The ticket sales are reflected by the card quality. That being said, some people in the industry are pleasantly surprised by how many tickets have been sold and even without a sellout, the UFC is still going to make money - their fighter payroll will not be very high with a whopping 6 fighters making their UFC debuts (and another in his 2nd UFC fight). The big TV deal let them concentrate on quantity over quality and they have also seemingly gone out of their way to not create any stars, letting the brand be the focus, rather than the fighters. As far as their future in Winnipeg goes, I'm sure they'll be back eventually. Ottawa fell through because of a potential Senators game so this card got shifted here but they had other options so there's obviously a reason why they chose Winnipeg. Will it be any time soon? Doubtful... they prefer the bigger markets but even then, cities bigger than Winnipeg (Calgary, Edmonton) often miss out and go even longer stretches without an event.
