  2. Trevor Harris extends for one more year... ...and Huff officially to Toronto in Senior Advisor role....

  5. PFF numbers are hot garbage. They take any random fan as analysts.
  6. PFF scores are fun when you want to support your own narrative but IMO you have to take them with a grain of salt. According to them, Willie Jefferson played the best football game of probably anyone ever at any level in week 9... he graded a 99.3 overall
  7. Everything I remember reading is that Vibert is a "natural" C... Or, at least, that's what he'd played in college. I was hoping he was the guy next year but not sure how polished he is...??
  8. Gotta try both....if we dont add in FA If anything we do know Eli is ideal in the TE sets and Short yardage...and can come in and take reps...so if he takes over at center...or is the 6th guy again...I think he is an important resigning....good to have that continuity and know what you have...I wish Vibert got some opportunities last yr...He has all the makings of a physical SOB on the interior...he was drafted as a center as well...correct?
  9. Not true. Our OL graded out very well in run blocking, it was pass pro they sucked. Look at the PFF numbers for run blocking for our OL. It sucks but BO just wasn't up to form for a lot of last year. I think part of that was the injury he sustained early in the season but he was definitely not the usual BO last year. Scheme was too predictable for sure. I am NOT advocating for a return of Kola. Just not sure Eli is the answer either. Vibert? maybe.
  10. And/or at times OC not being disciplined, patient enough to stick with the run and be a bit more creative with it?
  11. With the O-line he had, he was fortunate to get back to the line of scrimmage.
  12. The video highlights were not great cinematically, but a) he is built like a refridgerator b) he has explosive power and c) those offensive linemen he was up against were trash.
  13. This signing ought to silence fans who said the team was too old.

  15. worked for JT in practice hahaha
  16. agreed....now by design?...loafing....or deteriorated skill?....thats the bug question and we do see when he turns it on...he can be effective I'd be-resigning him with caveat that he gonna be a mentor/role player with rotational reps And a salary reflective of it, if he agreeable....Or heavy bonus incentive....Guy has value for sure and teams do gameplan with him in mind...but he needs to be in a 15 to 20 rep range...full out rush end reps...Not the 20+ he was doing Camp will be interesting...especially if it's a real camp...which we havnt seen in yrs
  17. So you're saying as long as he's lined up against Kolankowski, he should be fine?
  18. anytime your center gets spun around and more times than not is facing yhour QB....With guys in front of him...or going bu him...not a good sign....same with a dt getting spun to the side and again...more times than not his back to the QB and guys just sashaying by....not a good sign....both those are indicators of minimal talent if any...and weak players....and basically describes our two positions perfectly And makes sense as Kolo is an undersized unathletic center with short stubby arms, and JT is a uber unathletic guy, no technical skills/hand skills and weight he carries...grossly overweight has no benefit to him and his play...it's more a detriment to him With Lawson..Adams...Woods...Even Schmeck you saw no evidence of that...Same with Eli...and I disagree...he was hardly a matador, but that being said...he is a center and has nary had a chance to play....but hen he did he was just fine...and with more reps would settle right in...Is very athletic...not undersized...and actually has technique
  19. At guard... he's never got much chance at centre where our actual centee being a matador would be an improvement. Kolankowski spends most of the game wandering around like he's lost.
  20. Really a monster final year, first year post transfer is pretty meh. The film in that article is interesting. The good, extremely successful position change, very productive final year, better runner than you’d expect, big lean interior dl, has great instincts ability to read the play and gets off the line fast, has good hands too. The bad, he wins battles from the nose with finesse not power. He often used the same rip/swim into the A gap and just walked by a c and a guard. Mostly relies on shoulder check hits not good form tackles. The ugly, the level of competition on those ols looks real bad. He doesn’t look explosive or use power much. He looks like a big hs senior playing a bad jv team. Even for a d3 conference, it looks bad. I can see the fit as a guy who rushes the passer from a 3 tech spot (he’s not a cfl nose) if his slippery play and violent hands are as effective up here.
  21. Okay 1 of 237 DL signings we need this coming season to help TC become meaningful.
  22. I don't mind him thinking pass knock down because he's so good at it, what I don't like is that it seems to have become his default.
  23. Not sure what you have seen in Eli to have such faith in him. He has been a matador whenever inserted into the starting group.
  24. When playing from behind BO loses touches. However, in the games where we got behind early part of it was because he didn't run well. Is he the best back in the CFL? Could be, but not by much and he's paid as if he is almost twice as good as everyone else. He isn't and that's the problem. This isn't about BO's ability, it's about whether he is worth his astronomical salary.
  25. Personally, I can’t stand Wilson. Dude is crazy annoying. Interesting. Guy was really productive after switching from the O line.
