  2. Good thing we have that Bison QB in camp, at least there's an arm around for throwing drills, unless Danny Mac wants to step up...

  5. Also not sad to see him leave and thought there was probably a good chance he would not be on the final roster after camp anyway.
  6. I was looking forward to watching the QB battle. Certainly has the appearance of hurt feelings...but who knows what happened.

  9. 2 QB's leaving the team... is something going on behind the scenes?
  10. Decent arm. Decent wheels. 10 cent brain. Way too many bone head throws when he got his occasional playing time. See ya.
  11. Gonna need at least one more arm now... But ya I'm not super sad about this development.

  15. Honestly that is fantastic news. If he has that kind of mentality then buh-bye. Always thought he would never develop.
  16. Terry Wilson dtd with hurt feelings after the depth chart was released? Hodge says he left the team.
  17. Anyone hear why T Wilson is on the suspended list?

  19. Might be a busy day for Elgersma and Perkins after Zach finishes his series or two. Terry Wilson was just moved to the suspended list....
  20. I agree we've gone a little too far in using glue guy to keep some ppl. Just responding that you can't be entirely void of them either
  21. Today
  22. Its also important to note that it is a world of difference between getting 650k viewers on average for a league total of 43 games (UFL,) 660 games (Wnba) and 2,688(NHL). Also, in its peak, the Arena league was drawing between 700k and 1.3m tv eyes. Its also a whole other comparison when the UFL has a very low (for football) paid attendance, owns none of its infrastructure (stadiums, cameras etc) and the merch/other revenue streams are worse than the paid attendance. The new arena league, AF1 is touting massive increases this year in its viewership as well. The UFL is only a little more secure then the AF1. The UFL only exists as long as its owners tolerance for losing money survives.
  23. You absolutely do. But you need those glue guys to contribute, and you can't have too many guys whose contribution is unquantifiable. The rosters just don't have the flexibility for that up here. Id argue that some of our biggest glue guys in the GC wins, were guys who played at a high level as well. Kongbo, Hansen, prime Jake, biggie was a huge glue guy, etc. Idr seeing a depth chart from us in the pre season with soo few imp wrs. I think the club is extremely high on him.
  24. Elgersma QB2 👀
  25. I'd argue glue guys are different than the undefined intangibles guys. Hallett in his prime = glue guy. Undefined intangibles with no obvious skill or team benefit guy = Corcoran, Damian Jackson.
  26. You have to have those glue guys. They make a difference. It can be argued we may have too many but if you have none you are the Craig Dickenson Riders...lots of talent half arsing it.
  27. yeah sometimes I do wonder if Health issues do happen because of this kind of sport even if the crash doesn't kill you something else probably did
  28. NBA games draw significantly more than 650,000 on TV. The WNBA also drew more.
  29. This whole we love guys due to undefined intangibles BS needs to stop.
  30. There is not a doubt in my mind that we're going to be running a NI DT (Lawson) and they want to have a NI back up. That WOULD have been Shmeck, and with him down, Korny is taking the spot. I have absolutely no doubts this is how we start the season because it's ALWAYS how they've built their roster. I'm not saying Right or Wrong... Just saying they've always done this. Some combination of Jake, Lawson, Shmeck and Korny ... Always been a thing and likely always will be. Ceresna just replaced the turnstile of US DTs like Sayles, etc that have taken that spot over the years. I, too, would like to see more reps for last year's LB draft picks. It's time to see if they can be starters.
  31. yEAH....I hoping we seeing an offensive strategy shift. With some of the bodies we have that are athletic we could really exploit a lot of defenses who aren't accustomed to it The athletic TE too who automatically will widen out the defensive front...allow likley more inside gap control, and with a back like BO that be a huge plus for us And a big athletic TE who can basically just do a nice chop block/edge seal and then release into the flats or an out and up taking away a defender from the box would be another plus....especially as a true threat to catch the ball and do something with it
  32. Same here. I think the potential for running modern cluster/flex-spread/bunch style TE offences between 11 and 22 formation is tremendous. Especially if you get some big athletic Tes involved. The CFL lacks diversity in system and game plans to the point a mediocre job of running a modern style TE would take multiple years for the majority of teams to counter it. A lot of those athletic tweeners want to stay at TE now, and not move over to DE. (Like wj did.) And the NFL only keeps a couple TEs around, while so many college teams are running outliers there. The available talent pool has more quality at TE then we have at WR or DL. The motion up here also would make athletic big TEs deadly. Line up tight, flex to a spread but the TE gets to use the waggle as well. You could drag them in back field motion and have massive disruption in the tackle box defenders. You could Iso them and give CBs nightmares. If they play off and you screen now they have to solo tackle a giant, if they play tight 1 cut timing route and you not only have to close but you have to out reach said giant. They don't even need to be $h!t kicking blockers, if they can beat up on smaller wils, sams and other DBs that alone goes a long long way.
  33. I've been asking for this TE alignment for a while now being the armchair QB that I am. Would warm my heart. Throw in to this alignment having a true full back in I formation making room for BO and I've entered into football heaven.
