  1. Past hour
  2. Expecting a pocket with this team isnwishful thinking. Collaros doesn't have a pocket to work with and neither will Streveler.
  3. I'm aware. The blitz the riders were sending often left the middle of the field wide open. A rec never filled it.
  4. I actually think we match well defensively, but we need the experienced corner in Houston to be succesful Guy is a good corner....sure he took a lot of chances and git burned at times...but if he reigns that in....we are worlds better....and are more experienced.....which helps everyone Hope to see Kramdi soley at Safety and Griffin at SAM....Even some use of Woodbey there and Griffin at that dime role he excelled at, and NOT Kelly! With 6 starters on offence and only needed 1 on defence....no need for Kelly to even be out there....Or Thomas/Korn for that matter
  5. Point taken about Demski, he’s gone above and beyond this year. Definitely not weak. I still don’t think he compares to some of the other WR1’s in the league however. We don’t have a Coxie/Lawler/Hatcher type that teams have to gameplan around. Zach I’d argue has been hit or miss. One great game (Edmonton) , 2 very good ones (Labour Day, Montreal) rest has been mid (@BC game, 1st half of the second game @Cgy) to poor (1st game @cgy, Banjo Bowl, second half of the 2nd game @cgy, TO game before coming out, Cgy home game before the injury). For an MOP salary, he’s being outperformed by at least 4 other QB’s making less than him (Harris, Adams, BLM, Arbuckle) I understand there are more factors at play and agree the supporting cast is not good enough. For the defence, I think my point remains solid. There’s a lack of playmaking there.
  6. we could even run 30 front, bracket both lawler and white, run a S in the middle, and have a lber in the short mid. defensively, hamilton gives us lots of options to counter them. If we don’t try to blitz or run 40s with two canadians or more.
  7. Today
  8. then we should mesh well as basically I do too....Ratio would be changed...players to facilitate it would be targeted....no position would be penciled in pre-camp save for maybe BO but even then if we un-earthed a Mike Pringle we'd be seeing a lot of 2 back sets and BO used in slot Loyalty would be shown to the team....not the player as well.....Thats the world I came from...You underperform....you're out
  9. Oh I know you would have...as many others too....Same here....said it many times banking on Schoen was a error....But this atempt to "extend" his seson...was just a flailing move was my point in my ramble lol....no point to it....doesnt put the best player out there...and basically eliminates him for 2026 On that 2 point convert attempt that went for the int to the house...Schoem couldnt cut and break on the ball as he should due to his limitations, and well we saw the result Another healthy receiver would have....and who knows...maybe we win that game in O.T and the chance for a home playoff game is still in play...Its not now unless we run the tabnle, and cant see that happening
  10. If we don't win this game, most every game after becomes a must win game. Not my biggest concern actually. If we get houston on, and he's smartened up, we need to run the 30 front dropping the rest. I don't think hamilton can beat the base cover scheme from last year. And they won't run. We can't get pressure, but if we play to cover on D we can keep them under the range they want to throw to. If we run 30 front neither should be in 1on1s. lawler also has as many games with under 29 yards this year as 100 or more. The huge portion of his damage this year came in the month from week 2-6. 491 yards and 6 tds in 4 games vs 556 and 4 in 8 games.
  11. I would have signed Lawler over Schoen. You know that. I think not re-signing Lawler this offseason was an idiotic move by our GM. 100% Yep...the Elgersma train has got to be picking up steam now. Strev is not good enough of a passer for this league. Either we use him more effectively or our season is over. Dropping him back in the pocket hoping he can execute the offence is wishful thinking. Hogan needs to design something for a QB with a below average arm but can run.
  12. or just sashay through it Not bringing Houston on ...he with experience and knows BLM and the receivers is boneheaded for Vaval....he's not ready yet, and may never be....his niche this yr is returning and it suffers when he plays defense Mitchell I would swap out for Echols and see what he brings....cant bring less and he has a nice skill set...Not sire what happened to Mitchell, or if its in his head now but just seems so tentative, and unsure, and shows zero explosion...let alone jump in his step I know we beat Jake to death but he doesn't help us out there at all...he's a body and takes reps...Korn too....insignificant reps at best....so why? We give BLM time in pocket....good luck with that Bring on an athletic Baily to help spell off our ends AND actually use Person for more than 6 reps....Drop Ayers...again for basically just ST use and get Adams/Woods on roster...preferably both and doable if we go 3 nationals on oline...and then re-assess how defence looked....cant look worse, and we already know Woods and Adams can play, and anyone who thinks Thomas and Korn brings more than either of them....likely even Bailey really is lost in the dark like Osh Toss Vibert in as well as the extra guy, he may surprise and you dont know unless you try guys. Due to injury we had to put an unused and really unknown Speller in and he Centered us to a Grey Cup win with lockdown play...who here would have predicted or were pining for that?....Nobody Just because Osh rosters them being the head coach doesn't mean they the best...we have seen that over and over his time here that a lot of his choices are strictly a personal like As with Strev....guy is less than a yr off reconstruction, so to expect him to run this yr like before....aint realistic, next yr tho....more than likely and needs to be offered that chance.....Has he looked bonafide this yr...no....has shown signs at times, but as mentioned has been hampered by scheme...OC/coaching and supporting cast He looked worlds different in his start he had basically 2 weeks to prep for, and if handed it over to him now and sole prep time....who knows, but we need to adapt who we use/what we do on offence and actually put in the coaching and prep work OC needs to wisen up...create a plan that caters to his strengths and others right now and if we have to pare down the playbook to what works...and what we do well...A lot of it is with BO dominance in varying ways....and work off that...Not much more we can do really...nobody is gonna float us a starter, and trotting ZC out there anytime soon is about as dumb...or dumber than us trotting out Schoen. He and the team need to think of ZC longterm health now....guy got knockedthefuck out last game....compounding the other huge shots he's took Fortify our defence with the best guys we have available that can create havoc/confusion Manage the offence with our bread abd butter and tailor it accordingly, and not try to be fancy The remainder of the season and any success we may have in play-offs (and I believe we can have some) is completely in coach's hands now...Time to show they deserve the accolades many give them, and coach this team and make the smart choices/moves 2/3rds of the season in the books surely has been enough time to figure it out and see who/what is the issues
  13. That's just a start, Booch would be a helluva busy guy because I would want the whole thing torn down.
  14. I think the only chance they do, is if Elgersma comes in soon and looks far more ready than you'd expect. In that case, you keep strev as the back up next year. Other wise, I think you pull the plug. Even though I don't think strev is largely responsible, He's been used as a battering ram far too much and been banged up, while not being developed. Idk who you get to build a system around him at this point, other than maybe maas who you have no chance of getting. If we had a target who could build with strev I'd say keep him. I think the options above jackson are pretty limited for oc. Maybe if AC is ready for a promotion, but idk if we'd even be viable for that. Or If dinwiddie gets fired but he also would likely get a mroe desirbale role/team.
  15. If you bbq well enough, the imp linemen (and ni) will appear for sure.
  16. which is fine....you adjust ratio geared toward your talent and roster...I'd easily flip ratio positions if it helps team..Thats what good smart coaches do...you dont let a talent walk out the door cause you like a guy like Thomas...Kolo....etc Osh....not so much...to him it is what it is no opinion or idea is necessarily a bad one.....save for the insanely absurd one....They all should carry weight and consideration
  17. Hot routes aren't designed to be thrown over the middle. Although they can be. They are all quick passes designed to exploit a defense who blitzes & vacates a space. The receiver would catch a pass when the defender blitzes & leaves said space.
  18. Our management also brought him in tho and our coaches kept him for 2 seasons over others. He will get his opportunity cuz Streveler will be injured also if he plays. Dudes got almost 2 seasons of holding a clipboard and diving forward. Pretty good gig honestly. Being paid to stand around. Like collaros won’t be back this week tho.
  19. Yes he is 2-0 as a starter but the Lions didn't exactly look like world beaters in week 2, and I don't know how much credit Streveler can take for week 9 with Vaval picking up 2 touchdowns, the defense scoring and 4 Castillo FGs. You aren't going to lose many games when you put up 40 points but generally the offense is putting up more than 7 of them. In the almost quarter and a half he was leading the offense yesterday, the only time the ball was inside the Saskatchewan 40 was while it was in the air into the waiting arms of a Rider DB or Returner.
  20. Knowing how our management works... Wilson will be given 1 quarter and given up on without a chance to settle in.
  21. So is just about every football player in the CFL, UFL & NFL where one hit could be career ending.
  22. He was a shitty choice. What's your point? I'm pretty confident that if the team keeps losing at least one or both of the GM & HC will be gone because the team can't go back to the fanbase giving Walters & Osh new contracts. It doesn't matter who we think could be candidates because we won't choose them. So, you can be pissed off demanding we say who should be candidates but no one cares. We can speculate but ulltimately have no say in who gets hired. .
  23. Yes, based on 3 consecutive GC lossess with the decisions Osh made on game day personnel & playing injured players. Yes, we were EXTREMELY lucky to win 2.
  24. Got hooked on Supertramp as kid by my older brother. I think this cover band from Australia has renewed recent interest in the group.
  25. And I’ll joke around contributing nothing other than my charming personality and making the coaches veins pulsate in their foreheads when I offer up my football ‘opinions’.
  26. Disagree. Collaros is a good QB who's not getting what he needs from his supporting cast. Demski is not a weak receiver.
  27. I'll bbq the chicken & keep the beer cold. They might want an American guard.
