2026 Bombers Season
I'm all for starting 3 imports if that gives us our best lineup and then if Wallace becomes the 6th man even better as depth...but not at the expense of a import receiver when we dont have to. Starting an extra an unneeded Canadian just because is pointless and doesnt give us our best lineup. And sadly with Osh we know thats a distinct possibility. Same with I hope we dont waste a roster spot on a 7th oline guy as well with Daniels now here and other big bodies in MCI and Clercius...again that would be a wasted spot on a guy to not be used unless 2 olineman go down..and for most part teams deal with that with a convert off of defence. If Scmeckle is actually ready for season and we choose to dress an extra canadian dt...well there's his role...backup DT..emergency oline guy and interior knife on short yardage...

The difference is that the "old man" and me show up here everyday and contribute more than drive by belittling to this forum. Something you used to do as well Mike. It's ok to have heated exchanges on a discussion forum that stem from demonstrating differing opinions. Interjecting yourself into them as your only post content...well..it comes off as petty. I do agree with you on your only football content you mentioned. Go Bombers go!

2026 Bombers Season
As others have said, there has to be a reason the club has so many American Olinemen in camp. We don't seem to have the depth to go three Canadians there. Yes, you could start Neufeld/Eli/Wallace but your depth is what Vibert? Seems a little shaky. Starting Demski+Nield with Clercius and Daniels rotating in a spot, with Cobb as a back up makes sense to me.

Not that i’ve seen. I could see us starting 2 and having clercius/daniels rotate as package guys. Whites played 5 years in the league and could be used rostered as the naturalized player. So we use that and have half his snaps counted as a canadian with two other americans, then have clercius/daniels play snaps to keep the ratio.

I think the problem is that our Canadian depth at OL is not great. I don't even know what our PR will look like in that regard. Very likely we sign a cut from another team after TC. So while we potentially could start 3 Canadians, we are likely going to be relying on our Americans this year.- Today

Jarvis was never a jet. If the jets picked him he wouldn’t be playing with Sebastian Aho and Ehlers and the jets were 7 wins from a cup in 2018. If Chevy picked Jarvis instead of Ehlers does Ehlers leave Winnipeg? Cause Jarvis would be on the other side of his line.- 2026 Bombers Season
Have we explicitly said we are going to run 3 starting National receivers this yr, or is that just Tait's take on things? Even with starting 3 imports on the Oline if we choose....with the 2 other lineman...BO...Demski and Neild we don't need to do that when we can conceivable have 2 of any combo of Kramdi..Lawson...Shay...Smith...Gatkouth...Bailey...on the filed at any given time...Or actually utilize the Nationalized American. Having a 3rd National who in all honesty wont really have much an impact, or take much attention from the defense does nothing for ZC and until he show's he's not overdone toast, he needs weapons...not bodies. We gonna have Canadians on the field anyway on defence and most likely with most snaps 2 or more the way we rotate guys constantly....so why handcuff the offence needlessly? With Clercius here...MCI...Peterson...and now Daniels thats more than enough National depth on offence and maybe the new kid we drafted shows up well and steals a backend spot...Plus we still also have Cobb....meaning there is no reason we even need to have Corcorran around....Unless he comes into camp and all of sudden looks like the second coming of Ben Cahoon...of he makes it on roster cause "he works hard"...he "has a good attitude"....thats pretty weak sauce cause everyone here should have both those attributes...to actually go with actual professional talent- 2026 Bombers Season
Imagine having 16 OL in camp and only 5 being Canadian. If you told someone 20 years ago the league would shift that drastically toward having Canadians play at LB/DB and receiver/RB vs OL/DL they wouldn't have believed you.- 2026 Bombers Season
I too have had the perception that MOS plays favourites. So you’d think that if that bias is real that players would be pissed and pick up and go elsewhere ASAP. But I am re-thinking that theory. I asked AI for a list of players who left the Bombers to play elsewhere for various reasons in the past 5 years. Here it is: Dru Brown Ottawa Demerio Houston DBOttawa REDBLACKS / Calgary2024/2026 Janarion Grant KR/WRToronto Argonauts2024 Rasheed Bailey WRToronto Argonauts2024 Jerreth Sterns WRMontreal Alouettes2026 Eric Lofton OLHamilton Tiger-Cats2026 Keric Wheatfall WRHamilton Tiger-Cats2026 James Vaughters DESaskatchewan Roughriders2026 Alden Darby DB/LBOttawa REDBLACKS2022 Jonathan Kongbo DLToronto Argonauts / BC Lions2023/2026 Enock Makonzo LBToronto Argonauts2026 Casey Sayles DLHamilton Tiger-Cats2023 Dakota Prukop QBEdmonton Elks / BC Lions2024/2025 Peyton Logan is still FA, Shea Patterson Montreal Jake Dolegala Hamilton Josh Hagerty BC Lions. And, other than Dee Alford who started on the PR but then became a star and left for Atlanta, along with Chris Streveler and Sergio Castillo who got some NFL time, the only ex-Bombers to land in the NFL after PR spots on the club are Brandin Bryant (2018) and DB Matthew Jackson who was on Bombers PR last season for a month last year then signed with the Tennessee Titans. Jackson is back in Blue Bombers camp and listed as #4 on the depth chart at CB. So I am not sure how many on the above list left the Bombers feeling insulted because they were snubbed by MOS. We made a mistake letting Janarion Grant get away IMHO and that hurt for a season until Trey Vaval showed up.- 2026 Bombers Season

Britton seems like appropriate self awareness. From what I saw he probably didn’t belong in a CFL training camp.- 2026 Bombers Season
I just really wanted a guy named McCutcheon on the team... Sad about that. Otherwise, let's get main camp rolling!- 2026 Bombers Season
Britton the only one on there really worth mentioning. what’s the story with jaworski tho. Osh was asked about him and hinted maybe he’s not actually retired. Britton? He might be for real tho as he was all last year also pretty much.- 2026 Bombers Season
Wonder if Britton retired or “retired” although he wouldn’t be a counter either way so I’m assuming it’s legit- 2026 Bombers Season
Yeah I D aw it as a good humourous reflection from the past too- 2026 Bombers Season

I took Mike's post as a joke and thought it was so funny.- 2026 Bombers Season
the thing is with some players hype, and the perception (and a lot of times correct) that a guy has it and should/could be playing is that in the CFL, especially with a rigid roster framework/ratio idea and or a very biased Coach (which is and may still be an issue here) better players are gonna be cut adrift, or get no opportunity and the bad taste of knowing you got cut for a scrub or a favorite is a big factor in PR refusal...and rightfully so....just way it is in CFL when you have a ratio, and also an overly Patriotic Canadian head Knock.... All that being said am looking forward to some days at camp...will throw out my opinion, and take it for what it is...my opinions and looking forward to DL/WR and LB battles, and a what we do on Oline and Receiver....with our "overall depth" especially on defense I hope we dont go 3 import on Oline and 3 cabadian at receiver...that makes us a weaker team and the trade off in production at both spots doing so isnt big enough to make it worth it Especially if later this yr or in 2027 one of or both of Manu and the kid we drafted stroll into camp...along with likely more Wallace development and Vibert being ready to play in prime time. Plus we need a 6'3" or bigger receiver with skills to win one on ones to augment or wr group....we have lacked that for yrs now but have been burned by guys like that...a lot- Around the NHL 2025-26

Any releases yet? And I guess humour is subjective cuz that wasn’t overly funny. More kinda stupid and a waste of time kinda like attending camp so it all makes sense. There’s been plenty of years we all pick a dude and declare him the man then he gets cut first time he can. It is what it is. Who cares. Football is back. I’d love to see a surprise early release of a lb but that’s not gonna happen.- The TV Thread
Yup, streaming it right now- Around the NHL 2025-26
Nik Ehlers & Seth Jarvis 8 wins away from a cup. Chevy- The TV Thread
Best episode of television I have ever seen in my life. Some of the best actors on the planet cameo-ing and putting on a clinic.
