  2. Who on here is going to want this? The vets that people speak about wanting back are guys who at least at one point "excelled" and were bright spots on the team. At no point that I can remember of anyone who thought Jake Thomas "was the man". My only memories of him going back is that he's a guy that "doesn't get hurt" and has been around a long time.
  3. I wouldn't quite say that, X is probably the largest social media platform for the targetted demo that the CFL would be attracting (male 15 - 50) and of all the social media platforms it is by far among the top for filtering bots and providing a neutral stance. A reminder that what your search interests will reflect on all social media what you see , so if you are reading racists material then it is because of your internet history. I use Twitter and what I see is mainly funny cat videos and lots of video game posts. CFL should have more of a YouTube presence (also full of bots) , maybe they don't own the rights but it would be nice to have classic games complete on YouTube. Either way I agree with BigBlue204 that the only way to attract new fans is the game day experience. It is going to be very tough down the road as kids these days are far less into sports and far more into electronics. Mix in with the declining population as younger people are no longer having families, it will be a tough road 20+ years in the future for the CFL.
  4. I picked the Riders just because it's the LDC. Even though we've turned things around lately at The Pas West (did Princess Auto acquire the naming rights out there too or is it still IGF West?), I still expect a loss and hope to be surprised with a win.
  5. He can't sign with other CFL teams. We have his rights.
  6. Smitty's is just okay .. we used to go there for all you can eat breakfast buffet when really hung over. It was a good time.
  7. I picked Riders mostly based on our injury situation. Having said that, I can absolutely see a world where Brady and the OL go off again. And Collaros always carries a giant bag of **** You's to hand out when he plays the Gappers...
  8. Yes. Good point. I think you are correct here. Heโ€™s gonna take every chance heโ€™s given. Whether it be 2 or 19
  9. I think it speaks more to the point about Elgersma (and his camp) being willing to exhaust *every* NFL possibility (no matter how odd the fit might be) before considering coming back to Canada.
  10. Wait until they see the morning big blue pick em poll! A bunch of die hard biased Bomber fans and 2/3โ€™s of them are picking a Rider victory.
  11. Iโ€™m at this point more interested in hearing about Pokey Wilson as he would help immediately and not in 2 years. Can he technically sign with say BC or Hamilton? Or do we actually have his rights. Or is dude playing the waiting game and getting no calls. Could he sign in the UFL? Is that a thing.
  12. Yeah kind of strange. The giants released Devito who is a fan favourite, and had a good pre season. I donโ€™t see the fit for the giants.
  13. Wilson. Winston. Dart. He ainโ€™t taking one of their spots. PR possible.
  14. They wish ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. Smittys is decent........Stellas my fave though......
  16. well I have since tried Stacked on McPhillips I should try their lunch menu one day I need to remind myself that sometimes it's not worth it to bring over easy eggs all the way home because those puncture easily
  17. Bluestone Cottage in Charleswood is decent
  18. Ill always love Sals. I dont care what anyone says. Still a great and cheap breakfast spot. Probably still my favorite pancakes in the city and their cinnamon buns are awesome aswell. Burgers are great too. Love them Nip's!
  19. I haven't been, but absolutely knew this was going to be the case. It's just "that type" of place. I can't believe I forgot Sals in my initial list. The one on Pembina, in particular, (with all the music memorabilia) is a great breakfast spot. Probably my #3 behind Stella's and Chicken Chef Dugald...
  20. Clementine's is just ok IMO. Tiny menu and too fancy schmancy for me. Always bonkers busy too.
  21. Today
  22. Falafel Place Salisbury House(say what you will but still a killer breakfast and cheap) Cora's OEB Breakfast Co Luda's Deli Danny's All Day Breakfast
  23. Bulletin board time Prediction Time: CFL.ca writers' OK Tire Labour Day Weekend picks - CFL.ca
  24. I'm not sure what Kramdi's injury status was from last week. I expected him to be on the AR this week. That said, I thought there was a good chance that Makonzo would also be added. Earlier we added Cobb from the PR and I'm not sure why they did that. Possibly that was in case Demski couldn't play this week. We added Weitz last week in lieu of a Canadian and I predicted that Cobb would potentially be added to replace the 2nd global player. Now I think Makonzo might be that player and Cobb gets bumped back to PR. This is contingent on Demski not being moved to 1 game IR, otherwise we might need Canadian receiver depth. If Kramdi is out, then Cobb might be the only other Canadian choice if we have to add 2 Canadians!! I expect Houston to play this week with the expectation that Lawson is moved probably to PR but possibly to 1 game IR. My thought is that PR is more likely. I'm feeling good that we will see the return of Schoen this week to replace Sterns who was moved to the 1 game IR.
  25. yeah....no issue and problem with going with Clercius...you need to use the younger guys and let them grow, that being said it's usually smart to do so with a nice viable backup who is a veteran of some sorts and a guy you know you can plug in and run with...we forgot that part
