Kyle Connor has 48 point in 27 games an average of 1.7787 points per game .

Dylan Larkin had 47 points in 35 games for the same team last year for an average of 1.343 points per game .

Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his last year of college for  an average of 1.775 points per game .

I see Connor making the team in the fall and actually signing in March and getting a couple of weeks on the Jets roster at the end of the season.

I am hoping to see Connor on one wing with Wheeler or Ehlers or Armia on the other wing with Scheif or Matthews at center.

Going forward... Connor Scheif Wheeler Armia Ehlers and Matthews/Laine/Puljujärvi look like a pretty solid top 6 for a few years.

Lemieux, Roslovic, Petan, Copp, Lowry, Harkins, De Leo,  Lipon, and Spacek will be fighting for roster spots sooner or later.

We have Comrie and Helle and Phillips for depth in goal and look to be set for some time.

Our D, on the other hand, needs some help on the depth. Besides Morrissey, there isn't much coming up the pike on the left hand side and I fully expect the Jets to take some LHD at this draft or trade for one by this time next year. There is Sami Niku and not much else. The RHD right now is very good but not a great deal coming up the pike. Hopefully Kostalek makes the team in at least a 3rd pairing position and hopefully Glover and/or Poolman and/or Nogier turn out.

I would like to keep Trouba at a fair price. I'm not sure Trouba wants to be here or that his fair price is the same as mine. He and Josh could be a top-pair for a while.

Yeah, the problem is with MBB....lol......

Trouba has already given Chevy an indication of his intentions.. He will either sign 5 or 6 years or be dealt at the draft. Him getting pp1 minutes over Buff makes me kind of confused as Maurice has said many times he will only give opportunities to guys who want to be here.

7 million x 6. I do it. If he wants more... I move him. He's a good Defensive D man but hes awful on the PP and lacks the IQ a guy like 44 has. 7 is good. 8? Nope.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Trouba traded at the draft...  Niku will take over and Myers will probably re-sign for lower $$

Hopefully get Samberg signed now.  Could be a rock for our D in the coming years.  Gonna need someone like that sooner rather than later.

Unless you're Stamkos its my thinking that if you're UFA the team don't want you.

So adios Myers and Chiarot.

Argument might be made well they should have traded Myers at the deadline but I think because of injuries they chose not to.

We recently signed Johnny Kovacevic, another promising NCAA Dman we drafted a couple years ago.  I heard a rumour Samberg would sign after the season ended but maybe he wants another year of college.  His team keeps winning.  Must be nice 😃.

Tucker Poolman if healthy is NHL ready. Niku will start. 

If im the Jets.. Since my D zone play was awful... Buff and Josh are the only guys i keep. I move Trouba.. I dont sign Chiarot because hes not good enough.. I let Morrow go.. I move on from Myers.  I prob sign Beaulieu but not at what hes currently making. 

Samberg isnt nhl ready.. In another year he probably is but hes not a Makar or Heiskanen or guys like that who would just jump to the NHL right away. 

Trouba gets u a D in return id think... Maybe u move a guy like Little and or Perreault.. Id also buy out Kulikov.

I think I’d keep Chairot. And I’d consider keeping Myers at the right price.  As much I liked the move to bring on Kuli, I agree. Trade or buy out. 

Chiarot is our worst D man in terms of playing D tho.. Hes not good. He hits and that's about it.

I don't know about that. That's still two years away. I don't think he would start with the Jets next year, anyhow. He's probably deciding between Moose and UMD.
