Jets Prospects

Kyle Connor has 48 point in 27 games an average of 1.7787 points per game .

Dylan Larkin had 47 points in 35 games for the same team last year for an average of 1.343 points per game .

Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his last year of college for  an average of 1.775 points per game .

I see Connor making the team in the fall and actually signing in March and getting a couple of weeks on the Jets roster at the end of the season.

I am hoping to see Connor on one wing with Wheeler or Ehlers or Armia on the other wing with Scheif or Matthews at center.

Going forward... Connor Scheif Wheeler Armia Ehlers and Matthews/Laine/Puljujärvi look like a pretty solid top 6 for a few years.

Lemieux, Roslovic, Petan, Copp, Lowry, Harkins, De Leo,  Lipon, and Spacek will be fighting for roster spots sooner or later.

We have Comrie and Helle and Phillips for depth in goal and look to be set for some time.

Our D, on the other hand, needs some help on the depth. Besides Morrissey, there isn't much coming up the pike on the left hand side and I fully expect the Jets to take some LHD at this draft or trade for one by this time next year. There is Sami Niku and not much else. The RHD right now is very good but not a great deal coming up the pike. Hopefully Kostalek makes the team in at least a 3rd pairing position and hopefully Glover and/or Poolman and/or Nogier turn out.

As long as it's not Gilbert Brule...

Nothing wrong with having Petan in the organization.  If we have 5 or 6 forwards injured, put him in.  If not, Moose fans probably would like a championship too.

Considering the number of opportunities he's been given and done nothing with them, often with time on the PP and top lines, at this point he's a prospect in the same way Julian Melchiori is a prospect.

I think Petan goes elsewhere in fa this off season.

he's an RFA correct?

Petan is an RFA. I sort of wonder if the Jets let him look elsewhere though.

Petan is a nice throw in for a trade.

Nah. But he will be traded likely as a throw in. Dont think he has much value on his own

Logan Stanley named co-winner as his team's MVP for the playoffs.  Have to say this has been a positive year for him in his development so good for him to get some recognition.  Will be interesting to see whether that continues with the Moose next year.

Defenseman Logan Stanley and Goaltender Mario Culina have been named co-winners of the Charles Chalkin Memorial Award as Playoff MVP.

Head Coach of the Kitchener Rangers Jay McKee made the announcement Wednesday at team’s end of season reception.

Stanley, a Waterloo native, had 16 points (4G,12A) in 19 playoff games. The Winnipeg Jets draft pick also scored the series clinching goal in round 2 against the Sarnia Sting.

Culina was acquired by the Rangers at the trade deadline. In 19 starts in the playoffs for Kitchener, he had one shutout.

Yeah. They traded it with Foley for Stastny.

Im gonna bet they make a move to get in to round 1.

well I hope so because if we aren't going to keep stastny then...actually I don't know how to end that sentence

I hope it involves either Little or Perreault.  And yes, I know that Little has a NMC.

It was the price to get Stastny.

Jets first pick in the 2018 draft at #60 is 6'2 196 David Gustafsson, a C, at 60th overall.  70%+ at face-offs.
