Up first:  Pittsburgh Penguins, my secondary team to cheer for.

 

I guess their worst start since Sid's rookie year could be because of their lousy defense.  Or bad coaching.  Or Kessel.

 

But in reality its because I took Fleury in my pool every year for 10 years until last year when I was fed up, he has his best year ever and then I took him this year and now he sucks. 

 

But really, whats the deal?  They might be the first to can their coach.

PK is one of my least favourite NHLers, but as an Oilers fan, I'd probably make that deal...

EDM would be crazy not to take that trade...  

Bergevin saying it's highly unlikely they trade Subban. Said "unless someone offers me half his team"....so not likely anything is going to happen with Subban.

I would gladly take PK on the Jets any day...

Way way way too much... 4th and Yak is fine. 

Jets don't need yet another right handed d man who is making 9 million a year. If there is deal to be made with Subban, It's Edmonton for sure.

 

4th and Yak doesn't get you a sniff, It's 4th and Draisaitl and it's a done deal from Montreal. That's apparently what they want. 

 

Yakupov has no value what so ever, his value is that of a late 2nd or early 3rd. 

I'd take PK too.

Give MTL Trouba and what else? They would want more.

Interesting ... 6.5M salary, only next year remaining.

Will be a cap hit of 1.5M this year and 2.5M next year.

They already have $10M in cap room.  This increases it to about $15M.

Their RFAs are Dumba, Schroeder, Zuker, and Dalpe.

Making room for UFA or to pay their RFAs?

Some site had them ranked #3 as most likely candidate for signing Stamkos.....  the hilarious part was the Jets was ranked #2!  

This is why online rumours are ha-larious.

Detroit Buffalo NYI Tampa and Toronto have all been linked to Stamkos. 

Minny has been talking to the NYR possibly about a Derrick Stepan for Jonas Brodin trade or plus their pick even. 

Minny is at an interesting place right now where they are kind of getting older quickly and don't have much in terms of prospects

Just read Minnie/Edmonton working on some kinda package involving Matt Dumba and RNH.......intriguing....

Also, Calgary working with Columbus on some kinda package that would send Bobrovsky and the #3 to Calgary for #6 and a Forward (not sure who yet)........

What an embarrassment to his team. If someone was willing to take him Buffalo should unload him 

 

Cal got STL's Elliot for some 2nd rounders. Geezus Chevy! Another team gets a starter.

Agree that Chevy overpaid... Surprised that he couldn't get a higher second pick than 79th... but its a LHD prospect that is a giant with home run potential.  Can't say that Chevy is sitting on his hands.

I just can't believe St Louis let Elliott go so cheap...  might as well have just given him to Vegas... 

Possibly jets didn't feel there was a lot Of separatarion in kayer picks and really wanted Logan. They must see something in him.  And still got what might be a steal with Green
