Up first:  Pittsburgh Penguins, my secondary team to cheer for.

 

I guess their worst start since Sid's rookie year could be because of their lousy defense.  Or bad coaching.  Or Kessel.

 

But in reality its because I took Fleury in my pool every year for 10 years until last year when I was fed up, he has his best year ever and then I took him this year and now he sucks. 

 

But really, whats the deal?  They might be the first to can their coach.

Jets Win the trade by getting rid of a guy who didn't want to be here.  Standings? Put jets in the east and they make the playoffs probably. Jets owned the east. 

Anyways tho. Moose to name new head coach tomorrow at 10. 

Interesting to note that Brandon was knocked out of the memorial cup last night.

Buffalo fans are trying to trade bogo and have realized kane is not ever gonna reach his potential.

Ehlers does't get named to Team Europe? Really? Isn't Maurice an assistant coach for that team?

Helle is on NA kids team not Wheels. Different set of e's

Helle not gonna play with Gibson and Murray ahead of him.

I'll guarantee that helle plays one or 2 games at least. Pavelec won't play tho. 

As much as i like Helle both Murray and Gibson are ahead of him, he might get a game but the probable scenario is that Gibson gets the majority of the games unless he gets lit up.

Laine should count.  Unless of course the Leafs take him first overall.

If I read this correctly Karmanos' sons are suing him because he borrowed $100m from their trust funds to finance the Hurricanes and defaulted on the payments and can't afford to pay it back 

keep an eye on the Hurricanes 

 

Tom Lysiak & Rick MacLeish have passed away. Two snipers & both were heckuva hockey players.

I remember watching MacLeish play like it was yesterday...sad.

Rumor has it that Kirk Muller has told the Blues that he won't be back next year...Muller to the Jets for some O and PP coaching?

I'd be somewhat surprised if muller ended up here. I'd be happy but I'd be surprised

Kypreos believes there couldn’t be a better time for the Penguins to trade him. Doug MacLean suggests Malkin would look good in Montreal or Vancouver, while Kypreos believes Malkin could “slide right in there” with Jaromir Jagr. He also believes the Penguins have to shed salary this summer. When asked about moving goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, Kypreos replied, “expansion will look after that.”

Muller signs in Montreal as associate coach. Not surprising

Kypreos has a history of being dead wrong. But I could see Malkin moving on from Pitt. They got some cap issues there and moving malkin does make sense but I'll believe it when I see it

Yeah on paper it makes sense. Pens are good and deeper than they were. Malkin would restock the cupboard for years and probably keep them a contender until Crosby is done. But it seems too difficult of a deal to get done. 

Id like to see Malkin as a bonafide leader on a team and see if he has a higher gear

And maybe best part is that he's only worth 4.5 a season now.
