NHL Draft is approaching soon, so thought I'd start an official thread to discuss the draft and any trades that happen between now and then.

Sporting News thinks the Jets are in heavy for the #3 pick. Arizona GM said a team with two 1st rounds offered them both, plus a player, for that pick. SN is pretty certain that's the Jets.

Hockeybuzz (yeah I know) says Jackets are close to getting the 3rd pick.

Also saw a tweet from Damien Cox that says the Pens are after Kessel. As a Pens fan, I'm not sure how I feel about that. It would be interesting to see what he could do with a world class centre, but he makes a lot of money on a team where money's tight and doesn't seem like a "team first" kind of guy.

Cant see Pens going after Kessel.  I can see them liking Frolik though.

I like Toby but its its Toby and the two picks, Im okay with it.

If the Jets managed to move up to #3 I'd be ecstatic. You're getting a player that is #1 quality in any other year (regardless of who they'd take, there's 3 or 4 good options). I hope they can pull it off, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

As a Leafs fan, your opinion is worthless. You've already proven you don't understand hockey.

Leafs fans are like fish, they lack a cerebral cortex and so don't feel pain.  Cubs fans have a very similar affliction.

Kinda weird to have a contract expire in mid-summer and not at end of season.
