  • Good for him. True pro...great WBB both on and off the field. Wish him nothing but the best of luck pursuing dreams, and pray that we eventually see him back in Blue and Gold...

  • I'm no vikings fan... but there really is nothing better than seeing the patriots lose!

  • Good for Wild.  Bad for us.  Good luck to him though. He'll be greatly missed.

Everyone seems forgetting Chris Williams. I believe he will be a FA also comes Feb 10.

Can someone confirm. Thanks.

Chris Williams spent the past season with the Bears. He was cut in early December.

Yes. But I believe Hamilton still hold his rights for a year and that will expire at Feb, correct?

Chris Williams. Free agent. February. My nipples are hard.

The agreement was that he would have to return to Hamilton for the 2013 or 14 season if he was cut in the NFL and couldn't find work. I don't know that he's technically under contract though with the team (considering how the "agreement" is worded) based on an article I found in the National Post at the time New Orleans signed him. It notes at the time he had a high amount of NFL interest so it may still be unlikely he comes back to the CFL at this point.

Listen Rod, this is probably not the time to reveal your secret identity.

Unless he is absolutely lights out in the first couple days of camp we are likely getting him back. The Steelers obviously signed him as TCF,.

Thinking about this more and more it might not be to play line backer but might be trying out as Long snapper

Steelers long snapper is a free agent

Back to the original thread from a couple weeks ago or whatever......good for Ian. A true pro who deserves all the success in the world. Hope he makes a fortune.

Glad it all worked out for him.. Hope he has a blast, makes the team and rides off into the sunset on bags of cash :)

if not, come on back mr.wild. We have a plethora of people waiting to buy jerseys with your name on it!!

From the look of it, the Steelers will be trying him out at Safety position.

Congratulations to Ian Wild.  A great guy who deserves this shot.

I remember once saying we were a farm team/league and getting some flack for it (for stating the obvious maybe?).

One thing for sure though - lots of players out there who don't get a fair chance in the NFL but can play there. At least we're a good option. Best of luck to Mr.Wild - really liked him here and I hope he finds (a lot) of success down there, he deserves it.
