Argos at Als / Leos at Stampeders

Some big games to watch tonight.  Everyone wants to know who's gonna break out of the East's slump, winner of this first game could do it.  Pivotal game for at least one team tonight.

For Montreal, this could be Troy Smith's "Do Or Die" game.  He's had some rough ones on the road so far in McMahan and BC Place, but has done fairly well at home so far.  A win tonight and the Als will continue to ride the TS Train, but should signs of struggle become eminent, the word is the Als will turn to Marsh or Brink this game.

For Toronto, the injuries have decimated their playmaking receiving corps, and someone is gonna need to step up for Ricky Ray if the Argos hope to get back on track.  And someone on Burke's defense also is gonna need to step up and become a leader there.

Critical game here for both squads, though I think in Montreal's case, given their current personnel situation, I think it's much more critical for them.  The Argos injuries to Durie, Owens, and Barnes have obviously hurt them a lot, but once they get healthy they got the ability to make a comeback into the playoff picture.  The Als on the other hand, they start getting behind in East vs East games and I think they're done.

Calgary vs BC will be interesting.  Calgary has continued to find ways to win despite some of Mitchell's struggles, yet you just feel their luck won't hold up forever.  BC has their problems but they've also shown they can surprise you when you least expect it.  Gonna be a good game here tonight.

I was hoping Calgary would pull off the win. It's great that we're 5-1 don't get me wrong, but only being four points out of last (I'm assuming Saskatchewan beats Ottawa tomorrow) makes me uneasy.

If I know Brink, he is going to throw a couple garbage time touchdowns right away, but still lose the game.

Or a pick six :)

Sorry, I meant to say a couple interceptions for touchdowns

They'll have to keep Smith, obviously they have NO-ONE else. Well they could trade us Cox for one of our backups...LOL!

I'm a little embarrassed we just barely beat Mtl....

Rod Black still trying to get digs in at the bombers expense...

If Demond Washington actually was able to hang onto the ball, and Bucknor didn't get beat on a simple deep route it wouldn't have been close.

Put this game out of its misery and hope for something more entertaining with the Lions and Stampeders

They have to quit panning to Don Mathews.   He looks totally spaced out and disinterested sitting there, staring into space.

He looks like he's trying to decide if he sat in a pie or not

Thinkin the Don just made boob-boom in his strides and hasn't realized it yet.

Miller and Dunnigan!  Game is already looking better.

Its like watching two grannies slug it out with nerf bats.

It's hard to believe you can be as bad or worse coming off the bye week than you were going in.

That's 10 points in two games for the Alouettes.

Last time Brink played the Argos was his 9/34 pizza in 2012...

that makes him 18/57 for 245 yards and 3 INT in two those two games.

That actually sounds exciting, to a freak like me.....

how good would sanders have looked in bomber colours, damn. He's a good player.

Be really nice to see BC win this, but I have my doubts...

Montreal is the worst team in the league. What a gong show. I knew they were in trouble after seeing Troy Smith miss receivers left and right in the preseason.

Yeah the QB's are bad.....but that is one of the worst designed offenses I've seen in a while...

Wow, that Mallett is a baller, out for 5 years and cutting runs like that? Wow.

Nice to see Kevin Glenn throw another touchdown pass for the Stamps ;)

Lions on 3rd and 1 got to the line with 6 seconds left, took a penalty, and the QB was going to take the snap from the left guard, and not the centre.

Holy disaster.

That is BC football.

nice tackle

A real receiver makes that catch.
