February 21, 201411 yr Nice way to treat a veteran. That's Wally & how he does business. The Lions couldn't have done this a month ago? I know Jackson is on the downside of his career but he may have been able to find a position with another team. Now, it may be difficult.

February 22, 201411 yr Could be an okay backup... right now the first man up behind Watson and Kohlert is a toss up between three untested young guys. However Jackson passed his best-before date about three years ago so I'm not sure there is much point. Maybe for some leadership on the offensive side of the ball.
February 22, 201411 yr Leadership is from players by example not by words. Like last year he is a guy on the street you bring in when someone gets hurt. You don't bring guys like that to camp and risk him getting hurt....then you own him.
