Free Agency - 2014...

Not counting Sundays, there are 17 days left to sign our own FAs.

Do the Bombers have a say in all the FAs we have to sign or do circumstances exist where we have no chance?

For me, at least to get to TC:

Desirable signings - Some for obvious reasons, some for NI content, some for experience:

Henoc Muamba, Chris Matthews, Jade Etienne, Brandon Stewart, Will FordJovon JohnsonAkeem Foster, Kenny Mainor, Justin Sorensen, Marc Parenteau.

Signings if it makes sense - Again, ratio-wise and depth, new signings:

JT Gilmore, Ryan Lucas, Chris CvetkovicChris KowalczukDan West.

Not a Priority - Injuries….

Chad Simpson, Andre Douglas.

For comparison: (not including retired, suspended or released)

BC - …………..0 - 5 signings

Edmonton…….4 - 11

Calgary……….10 - 17

Sask…………..3 - 17

WBB…………..6 - 18

Hamilton………1 -6

Toronto……….1 - 10

Montreal………8 -17

The Bombers have 79 60 players listed on their roster page including all eligible FAs.
There are 34 imports and 32 26 NIs.
However, I can't imagine injured players like Sims-Walker will be back nor Bo Smith, nor Boltus (but that's just my wish)

Speaking of Hunt....Is he still pretty solid in Philly?

I thought his season ended with a knee injury last year.  Inclined to say he tore one of his CL's, ACL maybe?  Someone else will remember the specifics.

And he was never very solid in Philly, but he did enough to keep a roster spot.  I think they rostered 7 DE's, so as long as he's the 7th best one he's been able to keep a job.

@CFL_News: #Riders LB Mike McCullough says he's meeting with GM Taman this week and will likely decide to retire. #CFL via @CTVDarrell

@scratchingpost: #Ticats have re-signed linebacker @Simoni_Lawrence. #CFL

Phillip Hunt, a third-year backup who is transitioning from 4-3 defensive end to 3-4 outside linebacker, has suffered a torn ACL. Hunt had successful ACL surgery today (August 15, 2013)

Just a little interesting note seeing as though we all were wondering about him..

@PentonKirk: #Eskimos have released WR Marcus Henry and Canadian linebacker Mike Cornell.

Toronto cut Jerious Norwood too.  Wonder if he's done in the CFL, he was pretty good last season.

I'd like to see the Bombers pick up Marcus Henry, liked what he did as an Eskimo.

Norwood retired.

would like to see Urrutia more

@TSNScianitti: Chad Kackert has retired. The ankle injury he suffered before the east final never healed to a point he could feel 100% again #Argos

#Argos announce they have Signed Long Snapper Michael Benson & released OL Scott Mitchell.

I say grab him.

Agreed. Go get Scott Mitchell. Drop Swiston.

Mitchell failed his physical.  Not sure he'd be a great pickup.

im guessing most of these "releases" have failed their physicals. I'm not sure any would be a great pickup.

Wow that's to bad about Kackert

@PentonKirk: Former #Bombers draft pick Mike DiCroce has been cut by Calgary already. The receiver's foot just isn't right.
